anyone else having texture issues for the infected?

I was about to give up and go play ODST on the MCC, but this mod actually fixed my issue with the missing textures.

I don't normally comment things, but listen to @Bones Feb 9 4:46. I have tried it just now and the red boxes are gone.
1) First most just download any UI Hud mod of your choosing (I suggest choosing what Bones's recommend as you can copy paste the file "workshop\398091742.vpk" "1" .

2) Right click on the game in library and it should show you an option to browse through the file
3) Type in "AddonList"
4) Click the list and edit your desire mod to be the top
*Below should be what it looks like as an example, you need to change 0 to 1 for the mod to be checked off in game automatically

5) Next save the file
6) Go back to AddonList
7) Right click on AddonList and it should show you an option of properties (if it doesn't show then more options could be hiding it)

Is it possible to get the Halo environment textures as a standalone mod?

having red color blocks (like a checker broad) on my main screen in the game, in the game playing all 1-8 mods subscribed to!

idk if it's the best possible way but I found a fix to the "red grid across hud" thing, disable part 1 of the mod (this was also disable other stuff)
It'll remove the hud, install a different hud overlay, you will also have to install survivor ODST models, Halo weapon/gadget models/audio, as well as stuff to change the main menu/loading visuals (if you want the menu to change). Maybe there could be other stuff but I have not noticed yet

Just started looking into mods for L4D2 and came across this one. I also had the issue of a red grid across my screen, however, included this additional mod and it seemed to resolve the issue for me. Try having all 8 add-on mods from here and also include this additional mod and see if it helps.

For those who keep bothering With this thread, the owner has pretty much abandoned the mod and its pack

i keep getting a red blocked grid overlay on the 1st person pov. it looks fine in the cutscenes. any advice on how to fix. i believe its the add on 1/8. Im guessing i could just download all the add-on parts individually from this pack without the HUD add-on to fix it. wondering if there was an easier fix though. thnx

yo, what did you change the witch's model to?

Guys thiss is an amazing modpack, however the last update for any of the parts was back in early 2021, it can be assumed this mod is dead and abandoned. its a shame this is truly the best modpack I've played for L4D2 ever

I love this mod, but the red checkered bug kills it. Is there any fix for it i can do on my end?

@RongDong If I put it on read only I can't select mods in the in game menu...

Considering the pack hasnt been updated in god knows how long, im not sure what your expecting

My biggest problem with this collection is that when I load into the game, I have the purple/black error texture FULLSCREENED on my computer.

if you are seeing issues with checkers you need to change Resoultions till it works for you

*download this mod (suscribe)
*start the game, disable the new hud, close the game
*start the game again, enable the hud and enjoy

Fast fix I found for HUD Bug (Red chess screen) is to subscribe any HUD mod (for example this one: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=398091742 )
and then place it first in "addonlist.txt" :

\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addonlist.txt

* Don't forget to make "addonlist.txt" read-only so you won't re-edit it every relaunch.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I have a red checkerboard covering the entire screen, the only addons not related to the pack are the MRV voices lines, if anyone has suggestions I'm all ears.
