There was an option in most 18 Wheels of Steel Games that allowed you to sleep anywhere! But now you can only sleep at your Garage, Truckstop and Service Stations.

I see trucks parked on road shoulders especially turnpikes. What's the sense of having a cabin if you can't pull over and rest.

Recently had the chance to continue testing with the mod on the current version (ATS v1.45) - I've pushed a small update to the mod that merged the newer police.sii file with my mod, allowing previously (possibly) missing updates to police.sii to now work with this mod

I'll have a look into this and find out what changed.
With my current schedule, this fix could take up to a month to solve, please have patience

At least in game, I find more fun trying to take risky trips and pushing for that extra hour at the risk of passing out.
The punishment with this mod being writing off our truck or failing delivery if you flip. Mostly just preference in my case.

IRL you get caught not getting any rest and you could go to jail. Usually they'll put you out of service for 10 hours and give you a large fine to pay. It falls under falsifying your log book. With electronic logs it harder to falsify them and you'll still get caught and fined.

My request is more focused on that if we see our trucks, they have a cabin; then because you necessarily have to stop at certain points, it is well understood, but there are areas where you do not reach a rest area while you make an urgent delivery and you would like to at least stop a couple of hours, with the understanding that you have a cabin in the truck

Unfortunately, from what I understand, rest stops are part of the map.
To rest anywhere, it sounds as though you would require the entire map to be a rest stop.
There may be a mod out there, but I've not been able to find one.

I wish there was the possibility of, ok to sleep, but in your truck at some point you can stop and tell you the same as sleeping in a motel or rest area
