Works on 1.58 but it sounds too low even with nav volume at 100%

@rwieber79 not anymore, it was working until today, now its marked as incompatible 8-(
rwieber79 Dec 4, 2024 @ 2:25pm
Does anyone know if this mod still works for 1.53?
WanderingFido Jun 15, 2024 @ 10:06pm
I would like one of these two things: a) the replacement of these specific ogg files with one second of silent audio or b) permission to do so myself with FMOD:

I created a one-second silent audio file with: ffmpeg -f lavfi -i anullsrc -t 1 -c:a libvorbis one_sec_silence.ogg in Ubuntu.

Files To Silence:

[code]
and_then_go_straight.ogg
finish.ogg
go_straight.ogg
recomputing.ogg
start.ogg
u_turn.ogg
[/code]

If only it included all the steps google maps would give like "Merge onto Interstate 290 North. Continue for 400 miles." and it would be nice if it said street names. Would somebody be able to add these if possible?

Hi guys, i'm sorry i haven't kept up with the comments and feedback. I have been studying and working a ton. I just don't have the time to update the mod anymore. I appreciate everyone who uses (or used) the mod and i really had a ton of fun exploring audio engineering and software. I have no further plans on supporting this mod, however if it becomes broken or unusable, please let me know so i can save some headaches. Wishing you all the best, madtrucker89

after unsubscribing, mod seems embedded in game files...any way to permanently remove this mod?
John Q MERICA Oct 23, 2021 @ 4:52am
Just tried it. Already love it. Thank you Mad.
Prowlinger Sep 21, 2021 @ 10:31am
Can someone update this for 1.41 ?
Kingspian Jun 7, 2021 @ 8:45pm
How do I make it feet instead of Metric? It keeps telling me Metric
GeorgeT93 May 28, 2021 @ 10:05pm
Works really well, thank you for all your hard work. Any chance you might resample the "straight" files? The "sh-traight" sound is the only thing preventing this pack from being perfect, imho.
GinnyBeastly May 1, 2021 @ 9:05pm
can anyone confirm if this works for 1.4?
tolans2003 Apr 9, 2021 @ 10:54pm
Update for 1.4??
Columbus Aviation Jan 15, 2021 @ 10:42am
Could you make one for the Maps app that comes with iPhone? I am so used to that for real life.
TallmadgeInsanityAnimations Dec 22, 2020 @ 8:12pm
Imagine if it said roads in ATS
Like, Stay left on I-76 west towards Grand Junction
And, Take exit 269B on the left for I-76 East towards Sterling
infamous_jacob Dec 21, 2020 @ 1:58pm
This mod doesn't really work as intended. I don't get the "In 100 feet" or stuff like that. It only yells at me to turn, go straight, or otherwise.
StrategicFailure Nov 12, 2020 @ 6:45pm
FYI before people ask it works fine in 1.39
Night Stalker (Zulu) Nov 8, 2020 @ 2:22pm
Increase volume voice sound
xonox Oct 6, 2020 @ 2:50pm
I don't use mods, except this one. It is great to have a more neutral voice instead of the built-in GPS voice. Makes my trips more relaxing. Hope you can fix "Continue shtraight" if it's not a bug in the text to speech software. Everything else is fantastic. Thanks for making it!
GT182 Jun 21, 2020 @ 9:09am
Nordic... it is spelt Straight not Straigth
Nator Jun 9, 2020 @ 5:36am
Nice mod! One thing as already mentioned in the comments: Would you mind to change the "shtraight" to "straigth"? It get's a bit annoying after while ;) Thanks!
norbiq May 8, 2020 @ 12:14pm
Good job! "Continue shtraight " sounds so funny :lunar2019grinningpig:
aer0bat May 3, 2020 @ 5:34pm
can you make a british accent?
gordonjohn912 May 1, 2020 @ 8:46pm
@madtrucker89
Thank-you for this mod friend. Was fed up with the tired out voice of Ai.And the turn right, when I should be turning left mistakes.Happy Trails......CJ
Thirstyverk May 1, 2020 @ 4:07am
I love it. I have it at bottom priority, it works fine. V real vibe about it. Thx
crisborged83 Apr 22, 2020 @ 4:35pm
This mod never worked for me even with top priority. Am i doing something wrong?
RyanBurnsRed Apr 13, 2020 @ 5:58pm
You're a hero for this mod. Thank you so much
narutouzumaki999 Apr 7, 2020 @ 11:54am
I would like to here the phrase "You have arrived your route guidance is now finished."
Trucker_71 Apr 7, 2020 @ 11:27am
Is there an ETS2 version in the works?
AyMazingATS Apr 4, 2020 @ 12:35pm
Besides the aforementioned mispronunciation of straight....all you get when you get to destination is "arrived." Really would like to see this say "you have arrived." instead.
Solo Mar 30, 2020 @ 2:26pm
Best voice nav mod I've used yet, only issue is with her pronunciation of "straight", she pronounces it at "schraight". If there is anyway to fix that it would be perfect.
SuperTrooper Mar 30, 2020 @ 11:39am
Amazing mod! Thank you for making this compatible with 1.37 i have been looking for one that will work and this one is amazing!
Christian  [author] Mar 15, 2020 @ 2:42am
Guys i just tested it, and "In a quarter mile..." happens when you're about to turn right as well. The trigger point could be immediately, or it could be in what seems a quarter mile in game. Anywhere in between that, it will sound. It depends where your driver is positioned, and it will trigger. If that makes sense. There's really no way around this unless i turn the phrase into lets say, 500 feet and meet in the middle somewhere. The games navigation isn't that specific, although i wish it was. It would take ATS to come out with a more specific navigation phrases linking to their code. Like the roundabout ones. roundabout_1 through 6. prepare_turn_ only has one for each turn so you're pretty limited on what phrases you can say there.
Christian  [author] Mar 15, 2020 @ 2:17am
Thanks christian! I don't let it bother me. People are very particular with their games, and i'm up for the challenge. Fyi, i have updated the mod to say a quarter mile. Just pushed the update. Hope you enjoy and thank you!
gordonjohn912 Mar 15, 2020 @ 1:36am
@madtrucker89
Hi mate.Haven't tries out your mod yet,but am looking foward to doing so later on.Try not to let the Winger's get you down.Apprecciate what you have done, and hang in there.Happy Trails.......CJ
Christian  [author] Mar 15, 2020 @ 1:17am
That's not a bug. Everything is pre recorded. I'll push an update very soon for the quarter mile. I'll swap out the 100 feet for the quarter mile phrase. Thanks
narutouzumaki999 Mar 14, 2020 @ 9:36pm
The GPS should say "in a quarter mile turn right or left" instead of "in 100 feet turn right or left".
AyMazingATS Mar 13, 2020 @ 7:50pm
Bug report:

GPS is saying "turn right in 100 feet" or "turn left in 100 feet" when it is more like a 500 or more feet away from the turn.
Christian  [author] Mar 12, 2020 @ 11:26am
It was my first mod, so it wasn't on the headline or the photo... but was in the comments almost right away. Sure it was my fault for not specifying the version in that regard, but people still decided to not read further regardless. If there's one thing i can take away from this, it's to never upload during a public beta unless it's tested and compatible with both versions, or the NEW version. Thanks
DGAF_AK87 Mar 11, 2020 @ 10:51pm
It is your fault.... you didn't title the mods correctly which led people to believe it didn't work. Don't route the blame on us because you couldn't title these correctly
Christian  [author] Mar 11, 2020 @ 5:40pm
You're welcome :)
