As much as I love the dialogue of this mod, everything it adds just messes up the game. Skeletons in their 80s, using specialist and masterwork armour, being part of the dust bandits? And actual skin bandits still being part of the dust bandits? Not my taste, but the dialogue part is amazing and I love it.

I'll test the police station and crash report, although a dedicated bug report thread would help.
More specifics about the game breaking bugs when using only this mod would be helpful.
I can only test the things I know about.

This mod seems to completely break some parts of the game, i have been testing this mod all day cause i really like it but it stops shek police stations from spawning for some reason and crashes whenever i enter the Deadlands, i even ran the game with ONLY this mod active and it still seems to cause gamebreaking bugs, ik there is a bug report forum but i am posting here because i think it needs more attention.

Very immersive dialogues but other parts especially packages is extremely bugged. It would be appreciated if you could make seperate patch with all modified/added ai packages removed as it become a chore to play with heavily modded playthrough where most npcs just standing still with aimless goals which only fixed after disable your mod.

This mod is great. It does exactly what it says on the title, it enriches the game. The fact that NPCs say other NPCs names is what I like the most. Great Work

@NotFuji
I can't reproduce the bug with bars not spawning. All the bars that I've visited work.
Is it something reproducible? Specific bars that we can look at?

Also, please let us know if you have any other mods that might be reacting badly with this mod to cause the bugs.
We're trying to keep everything mod neutral. So, if it's bugging someone else' mod, we want to know.
Wyldhunt Feb 8, 2021 @ 9:14am
There has been a surge of updates to the mod recently, so anyone experiencing weird bugs may want to try re-importing.

The best place for specific examples is the bug thread. That way, DMSelena can keep track of them all. I'm just her husband, and tend to be forgetful. :P

She reset the tweaks that she made to the throne room in the latest update, since it seemed to be causing issues. She never made any changes to furniture or room contents though. Odd bug. Let us know if it's fixed now (After an import, if possible)?

The name randomization isn't complete yet.
When it's finished, it'll allow conversations to work better between characters. They'll be able to refer to each other by name.
If you notice any bugs or ways that it makes things worse, let us know.
eekum bookum Feb 7, 2021 @ 8:43pm
It bugs the throne room by literally removing all furniture. Also, holy nation sentinels are spawning with katura zukins. even then, the name randomisation isn't even (doesn't affect reaver ironclads and samurai gate guards etc)
lmk if i can contact you on discord, so i can DM you examples @Wyldhunt
NotFuji Feb 7, 2021 @ 3:15pm
This seems to be causing bars to stop spawning in a lot of major cities
Wyldhunt Feb 7, 2021 @ 2:11pm
@[ETM] Luminara
The randomized names were on purpose, to add more depth. Get rid of the 20 Dust Bandits attacking you. Now, it's Bob, Mary, and their 28 close friends.
Are they causing unexpected bugs?
How is it bugging Phoenix's throne room? (I don't get out that way much)
eekum bookum Feb 7, 2021 @ 11:07am
uh for some reason, this mod seems to be corrupting a lot of character spawns, causing characters to spawn with randomised names and completely breaking the Phoenix throne in Blister Hill. Not posting to bug reports bc I think this should be on the front comment section

This mod is awesome really makes the quite world really come alive thanks for this.
dmselena  [author] Aug 30, 2020 @ 10:15am
@Traveler In The Dark: I should probably clarify that it isn't just cursing, it is also descriptive cries of pain, really horrifying threats, and so on... at least if it makes sense for a character by their personality tag, faction, who they are talking to, etc.

I want a much better world than Kenshi, IRL, but I wrote all the dialogue according to the premise of Kenshi's existing lore, so I didn't make the world "better" so much as more alive in its wretchedness. This includes hate, ignorance, and senseless violence.

Hey everyone. I haven't ever read the comments before. I didn't even realize other people were subscribing until Wyldhunt started reading them to me. Thank you for all the kind things that were said and the feedback on what can be improved.

I have a very fulltime job that is crazy right now. So, please feel free to download it and copy it, mod it yourself, whatever. Especially if you notice that there aren't any updates for awhile and something is wrong that you can fix.

I'll continue to update here when I get time.

Thanks and stay safe!

UPDATE:

So as hinted at I quickly decided to redownload the mod, tho there are some grammar mistakes here and there it's not a bother, and the Dialogue loop of the Dust bandit demands was easily enough fixed myself.
Now Im not sure if the Mod Author did some work on it, but the most recent Dust bandit demand I had at my town did not get stuck in a loop, instead they finished their threats and then turned around to leave angrily, however none of them turned hotile yet and I don't think I got a reputation penalty. This again may be caused due to a conflict with the Bandit variety mod and it's no real issue, but I figure I'd post my observation here.
I did make a screenshot of the Dialogue set in question in case you need it to check it out, but either way, I really dig all this extra dialogue going on!
Brimsaw Jul 12, 2020 @ 2:09am
Had to unsubscribe from this mod since it was causing some compilations! Not sure if its a conflict with another mod, but when Dust Bandits come by to demand a bribe they get stuck in an endless dialogue loop.
Since Im the only one posting an issue like this Ill assume it's due to onbe of my other mods, likely the Bandit variety mod or one of those.

I still really liked this mods for the time I had it installed, so much so that I am considering just installing it anyway, screw those loopy Dust bandits!
Velber May 18, 2020 @ 9:47pm
i dont understand how someone could be upset with cursing in a game that has robots wearing human skin and having people skin-peeled alive, but to each their own, anyway nice mod
Wyldhunt May 10, 2020 @ 6:27pm
It might?
There are a bunch of word lists that other conversations use to add flavor and keep things from repeating too often. Each word list is a list of synonyms for a specific word.
This mod expands those lists, makes a couple of new lists, and makes a few minor changes to the base conversations so that they will use the new lists.

Other dialog mods which also modify those lists will not be compatible.
Other mods which also change the base conversations should be placed below this mod in the mod order. The extra word lists may not show up any more, but everything else will work fine without breaking the other mod.

Other dialog mods which add entirely new conversations will work fine.
Other dialog mods which use the default word lists will use this mods expanded word lists.
Spencer May 10, 2020 @ 1:21am
does this work with other dialogue mods?
Quirky Custodian May 3, 2020 @ 3:52am
This looks like exactly the thing I wanted to do with dialogues in my mod. Glad I ran into this. Good job. :cybereye: I'll put up a link recommending it there, if that's ok with you. And add it to a wip Kenshi "lore" mod collection.
Wyldhunt Mar 14, 2020 @ 6:01am
Bugs are bound to happen in mods like this, so please let us know when someone says something that doesn't make sense. We need to know who said it, why they said it, and what they said. For example: "Bandits arrived at my base. The leader of the Bandits said 'Take us your wealth or be pain!'. Then they attacked."
kashmirphish Mar 11, 2020 @ 9:13am
Very cool and good mod, been looking for something like this for a while so thank you.

ah, a "the thick of it" mod. gooooooood. good. *looks at a fax machine that decided to kill itself*
tophfox Mar 7, 2020 @ 7:58pm
I already love this
Wyldhunt Mar 5, 2020 @ 1:35am
You'll see examples in many places where characters emote or speak, and she's adding more constantly.
The best examples I've seen so far have been the insults from the UC nobles, character reactions to losing limbs (They get very colorful now...), and once when bandits came to my base to demand that us f**k mallets pay them protection money.

It is humorous, thorough, and painstakingly crafted to give each character a unique voice based on that characters attributes.
Wyldhunt Mar 5, 2020 @ 1:35am
@aggressivebees @Mezcestro

What this mod does:
In the conversation files, there are special tags that you can use which change the wording as needed.
For example: "[He/She] stole my cane!" [He/She] will be replaced with the appropriate descriptor.
Kenshi uses these tags to create word lists of compatible words for things like [Insult], [Punch], etc. Each list might contain several words or phrases, and one of those words will be chosen based upon prerequisites such as sex, race, relation score, etc. This gives Kenshi a dynamic layer which allows a character to treat different characters in different ways.

DMSelena has expanded upon these word tags and added a bunch of new ones. These lists include more branching and options based upon the characters personality as well as the other layers. So, an intelligent character will sling very different insults from a dumb or treasonous character.
aggressivebees Mar 2, 2020 @ 12:34pm
What does this do exactly?
Starfish Parade Mar 2, 2020 @ 4:18am
Where to look for the examples?

- dust bandits, UC? fogmen?
auamoti Mar 2, 2020 @ 12:47am
dialogue mods are not picky about load order, nor should they cause compatibility problems.
