For context on those videos, I'm making a new mod series, but I'm waiting until it's closer to completion to release the whole thing at once. It's like if something similar to Trial AE (ridiculous crossover plot) was the main plot. It doesn't relate to Hat in Time much, except for jokes about Mustache Girl hanging out with Carmelita.

The voice acting was such a huge quality boost to the mod series, I'm so glad and thankful it worked out.

I usually don't comment on mods, especially not ones this old because I reckon it's weird to the creator or smth, but I just have to say you hit it out of the park with these mods, and the voice acting really helps convey your story & characters, especially in this trial.

Science Owl and Nomad sound some of the best in my opinion, S. Owl sounding like the anxious, bookish nerd he is and Nomad just conveying so much emotion in so little words.

It's immaculate, and that's not to say the rest isn't of the voice acting perfect as well, those 2 just stood out the most to me. I love your work, and so do many others, hope you're having a good time doing whatever you moved onto now, probably great things I assume

I adore this mod series! This one hit me the hardest (Which is dr tradition since chapter 4 trials hurt imo) The amount of care and love you put into this mod series really shines! The voice acting is phenomenal, the character interactions are golden, and it's very emotionally investing (for me at least) Gonna be honest, this trial tugged at my heartstrings to the point that I even started to tear up! The twists and revelations make this mod all the more better! To make this huge paragraph short; I love this mod and the mod series a lot and I'm very excited for trial 5! Great work Ryuka!

Progress update on Trial 5: Most of the level is done except for a couple things:

1. A bunch of 2D art for cutscenes (like the body discovery art and the pre-trial scenes).
2. Lighting needs rebuilt, but there's a button for that, so it won't take long.

@8-Bit-Pixelated, Thanks! It's always nice to hear that I did a good job. Especially since I was worried trial 3 would really suck, just because DR case 3 syndrome is a thing, and trial 4 being received poorly because of the subject matter.

@WaffleKid201, Instagram? I didn't know my mod was mentioned there. I don't use it, so I don't know how it works, so maybe someone else mentioned it there. Either way, it's great to hear that my cases are entertaining and stand out.

I played through your four cases pretty fast, and it's a very entertaining crossover fangan to play through. As a current fangan creator myself, I really enjoy how you've managed to make cases that can only exist in this crossover universe, and it really makes it stick out from other crossover Fangan series on instagram. Especially since you take time to develop, get this VA'd and more. I can't wait to see the next trial, but take your time! It's great :)

hey! me and a friend have been playing through parts of this mod together over the past couple days, and like???? this is REALLY good! Like AMAZING. as someone who played through V3 recently, and has played tth all the way through, if this wasn't an ahit mod, you could fool me into thinking this is dr4. the twists send my wig into orbit, the way the dr gameplay was translated for ahit was done just about as well as it could be (as far as im aware) and like [/spoiler] Sorry for like, the paragraph, but this is seriously amazing. And, side note (if you know you know) my friend and I lost it whn you started typing v3 as V3 :>

If I were to guess the month, I'd say hopefully late June or early July if all goes well, but things like to go wrong so...

Unfortunately the release date and month are unknown variables for me. There's still a lot of stuff I need to do to finish the level, and most of the VAs have other stuff on their plate, so I have to wait until they record their lines too.

Don't get me wrong, I like Snatcher's character. He's over-the-top and hilarious in his cruel way. But he's still a terrible person that kills a lot of people, which we probably shouldn't forgive over his backstory.

That is partially true. It's half 'Mustache Girl saying it how she likely thinks it is in the context of the game's universe' and half 'why do fanbases keep fawning over the villain with the tragic backstory, often portraying them without the bad parts that are ingrained into the character, and as such, make them that character?', with Snatcher being a very easy target to point this out with. So I did kinda use Mustache Girl as an outlet to get that opinion of mine out there.

Once I get the chance to replay/re-watch the trial, I'll write down my thoughts.

On a much more positive note, was Mustache Girl's rant about Snatcher not being redeemable meant to call out the fan base? Because if it was, that's hilarious (partially because I adore Mustache Girl for kind of the same reason).

It might be a combination of poor wording and being too close to my work (which easily blinds me to the faults because I wrote it so I know what it's trying to say) that the trial was confusing. Could you specify what was confusing in a bit more detail?

Thanks for letting me know about those spelling errors. I'll get to them as soon as I can.

I did what I could to balance out the audio. There's not much more I can do with the program I have.

I've been loving these so far, but I do have a few things to note:

Maybe I just didn't pay enough attention or went through it too fast, but I felt kind of lost during the first segment of the trial, namely the thought process behind whether or not the murder was remote, whether someone was in the biolab during the murder, etc. . I remember feeling a bit of that in trial 3, too, but I don't recall the specifics.

There are also a lot of typos and a few instances where the voice lines don't match up to the dialogue box. I posted a few of these in my screenshot gallery, assuming you can access it.

I'm not sure if much can be done about this (thanks to mic quality and whatnot), but the voice volumes don't always match up. Grooves, for instance, is quite quiet compared to the Conductor, which becomes very apparent when the two are arguing.

We finally hear these 2 famous lines: "A body has been discovered!" and "No, that's wrong!"

Spoilers are unavoidable during beta testing. It's common for glitches, my spelling errors, and what in the plot needs clarified in case it's confusing, to be brought up.

Played through it again just now for the first time since my last playtest on the beta. Gotta say, absolutely incredible work with the voice acting on everyone's behalfs except for that nerd that voiced Backer A. Fantastic job on all the art you've done, too, Ruki. Looking forward to whatever you'll have in 5!

@Veggie Ice Cream™: The idea for them reviving after death is because dying in HiT for basically everyone is impermanent. If they revived back in the killing game area, there'd be even less drama and suspense. And even though we've only seen mild cases where the character differences aren't substantial upon reviving, some of the characters that died didn't come back as themselves from the current timeline. If a character with more substantial changes from other timelines dies, they're basically coming back as a different person, meaning the version we know is basically dead (unless the area they're associated with had their anomalies dealt with). Trial 5 will make this apparent.

Amazingly done, as always!
I'm still a bit confused with the victims and killers being alive in the rift universe, and it also kinda takes away the affect and drama of death if theyre all still alive.
But regardless I can appreciate the amount of effort and fun put into these mods.
