Awesome! Thanks for taking your time to make this picturesque mod. Now I can tell my villagers to remove urns from their closets and bury them.

No, different colors are to make them easier to handle. User-friendly addition.

Ok, found it. I had to scroll quite a way from the building, but I see it now. it is indeed a very wide ring. I probably couldn't see it clearly before for all the trees.

BTW, I see rings in various colors. Around some buildings, I see white, yellow, red, pink... Is there a meaning to the different color coding?

And it's perfectly viisble so maybe check again your game. This mod has larger radius than core game vanilla crypts and it's designed to work with core game mechanics. It was tested and it works like intended.

Funeral House has it's own radius.
jumbled Mar 8, 2020 @ 11:29pm
Very well, and I do try to position these things in whatever little cubbies I can find that don't stand out too much or offend my senses of cleanliness. But this building was two buildings away from where this guy died (according to the position button in the log), and well within the range of a pyre, if there was one in the same location, and yet nothing changed to the body count to take the dead person. Further is I do not see a circle around it to indicate the radius. Does it have one to begin with, and if so, how does it compare to a pyre/crypt? If it's designed to take so many bodies, I would actually expect it to have a much wider radius, as I seriously doubt you are going to have so many people standing right next to it all dying at once. And you simply can't fit that many houses or workplaces in the space of a single pyre's radius to accommodate that much population. This is enough to cover the volume of many pyres or crypts citywide.

@jumbled if you prefer to have this "stuff" far away then it's not a game for you. It's needs to be in a center because all of your people should be in radius of those kind of buildings. It's the one of many game mechanics regarding dying people and plague spreading. This is how devs designed it. Nice or not if you won't cover your village people will die of disease once they start to die from old age or in mines.
jumbled Mar 8, 2020 @ 10:59pm
In the beginning, I might use pyres to surround my village, but ultimately, I would change to crypts once I advance my city enough and make space for them. I see a circle around both pyres and crypts which would indicate the radius for their effect, but I regard pyres as primitive, unsightly and undesirable for a "clean" village setting. I'm not the sort of person who wants to live with a heap of smoldering logs in my backyard burning my neighbors' bodies. Of course, neither was I ever the type who wanted to live next door to a cemetery. Personally, I would prefer this stuff to be FAR AWAY from where I make my residence, not in the middle of town.

Regardless, if you are making a building with a body count to it, it sounds like an alternative to the above. Therefore, it should be redundant to have both.

@jumbled do you know how core game crypts work?
jumbled Mar 8, 2020 @ 10:40pm
I am trying to interpret the purpose of this building. Does it actually take dead bodies INSTEAD of pyres or crypts, or do I still need those others? And if I do still need the others, why have THIS thing if it's not actually replacing the others?

For instance, I had a pyre and someone died a while back, so the pyre took it and there were no changes to this building. Then I took the pyre out to see if this building would take the body instead. Someone later died and next thing you know, several people have the plague. And still, no changes to the body count in here.

@Alex Ros, you don't need to use Funeral Rites, as in mod description - graves are part of this mod as additional decorations, if you don't use FR mod you'll only see empty fenced yard.

"Graves shown at pictures are from Funeral rites MOD. They will be added to your Town's Funeral House if you place and enable Funeral rites MOD above Town's Funeral House and choose in Funeral rites MOD option with graves."

I wasn't usuing Funeral rites mod. So the question is are they companion mods and I do need both? Or yours is enough? What will I lose if I use only yours? Or vice versa only rites?

As I understood by reading descriptions of both F.Rites introduces kinda cemeteries. While your is introducing Funeral works building. Which is logical, since bodies have to be prepared for a cemetary. Am I losing something?

Hello, I don't know what was your experience with Cities. Mods in Forest Village work differently. The only thing you need to have is original copy of game, without that you won't be able to use mods in-game.
___CptBens0n___ Mar 2, 2020 @ 11:34pm
Nice mod and tempting to download. I haven't downloaded any yet due to my prior experience with mods in Cities which ruined my game when people took them down. Do you need to be connected to the internet in order to play the game with mods?
