Looks like this happened before but the harbor warehouses from TpF1 are gone again (`station/harbor/cargo/cargo_main_building.mdl` and `station/harbor/cargo/cargo_small_building.mdl`). They were probably removed from vanilla files in the latest update. Is it possible to include their model files in the mod directly like `asset_crane_new.mdl` etc. Thank you!

@Dangerosul - Thank you for your kind words and appreciative comments. The mod was not difficult to make, but was time consuming sorting the buildings/assets into various categories that would make sense.

The railway station buildings are made up of several constituent parts and could not be placed as individual components and would require a construction script for each side/main building. Then if you wanted to group them together, it would need the end sections removing for joining to other buildings... this then becomes very time-consuming when testing and whatever combinations or permutations I make, you can bet somebody would want something joined to something else that I hadn't made.

My good man, i cannot thank you enough for making this mega asset mod. It is my no 1 mod that i use when building custom industries with the Freestyle industry mod. Also placing all kinds of bits and bobs around buildings like containers and cargo to spice up the stations. Im a bit mad about detailing and making realistic looking stations and industries and this mod helps a lot!
It is SO good and it saves up space from using multiple other mods.

Any chance you will make the the rail station buildings as assets at some point?

That is quite possible. Once the update is universally rolled out in May, I shall reassess all my mods for compatibility and functionality. It may be that the harbour buildings will no longer be available.

The iron ore assets comprise three of the buildings; anything extra that is animated is not included.

The modular station aspects are not part of this mod. Like many other modular assemblies the pieces are often one-sided, with no interior face, and open-ended. This would mean totally precise alignment would be necessary when placing as individual pieces in order to achieve a cohesive-looking building. Other mods on Steam include billboards, signs, luggage and platform assets that could be utilised for this purpose.

Most of my passenger/cargo station rely on lollus' freestyle station.
Are vanilla station buildings included ? if so, which key word to find them? (the obvious ones did not find them)

That's where the two buildings that are in the pack came from. The others in that directory are segments of buildings, rendered without interior faces, that can be assembled by the game to save on duplication of files.

I've looked at the images you sent, and there are two of the Tools Factory buildings included, but I can't find the .MDL files of those in the screenshots. They do not appear to be in the main structure for assets/buildings in the game.

There are some items from the scenarios that I haven't added as it would mean editing
and redistributing UG's model files, which I would rather not do from an IP perspective.

With the sawmill/forestry buildings, do you mean that I have listed the same building twice?

I've tested it just now and I can place all the containers, including the large yellow one filled with rubble. My next thought is if you have the beta patch installed, the Models.zip file has been changed slightly and now my call from the .CON file is referring to a name that no longer exists in the game's files.

If it's syntax then it's annoying but can be easily rectified - obviously no-one else likes that particular container enough to use it in their game! If it's in this pack it'll probably be in the Collision version too. Thanks for bringing it to my attention and I'll look to update later today once I've found it!

Its with one container, other things working fine and i like it very much. Its a building rubble container with the problems. The game says there is something wrong with the syntax.

I'm not running the beta myself so currently have no knowledge of potential issues. Having experienced problems with previous betas I now no longer subscribe to them but wait for the actual updates from UG. Betas may change during the test period and may need several alterations or amendments; once the stable (hopefully!) update is released then I'll look at any matters that arise as a result of that.

The items themselves are all default UG in-game items that are simply referenced and categorised - with a few extra tweaks - for use in the Asset Mega Pack.

It will be investigated and addressed in due course, so do hang onto your savegames and I'll be on the case soon.

Hi Quince, I am playing the latest beta. I have tried loading it first, last, loading no other mods, but it makes no difference: your items have disappeared from the menu.
However, the items I placed a couple of weeks ago are still visible in the game, and stdout says, your mod has been loaded. It is a savegame that was ok before. Any ideas?

This mod has no object collision - as stated above - whilst my other Asset Mega Pack does. This was in response to various players who wanted collision so the AI didn't build through their structures.

now i see the "error". When i place the depot i can only see a box with grey and white squares. (no texture).
But no crash after placing and reloading the savegame (Beta not activated).

@Alexej - If nothing crashes then I'll call that a win! UG updated yesterday and this affected the Models.zip file containing meshes, materials, models, animation etc.

If you go to the Steam Library and right-click on TPF2, open the Properties menu and on the far right it says Beta. There's a dropdown box to opt in to external testing and this is what many players have done. The testing program - which is an optimisation patch, I think - downloads some updated files, principally the Models.zip file. This changes the in-game train depot compared to the original one and it is this which causes the crash.

@lollus - Thank you for the detailed error message. I'm looking into this and have ascertained, thanks to MadHatter, that it's due to the Beta update that some players have opted into which alters things in the Models.zip file. It appears to affect only the vanilla rail depot so if necessary will temporarily remove it from the construction menu. Of course this won't help anyone who has already placed one in the game, but I'm hoping to have an updated working version later today once I've updated my game to induce the crash.

The error message is: configuration error - group "depot" has 10 materials but mesh has 11 groups. This error is usually caused by modding. Some game resources contain semantically incorrect data.
