The industries are not visible after placing. all i can see is the icon for the goods, am i missing something?
ZaGeR May 25 @ 12:58am
How to create industry with 6 in and 1 out? I saw button "custom", but don't understand how it works. I can only add cargo 1 to 1, 1 to 2 or 2 to 2 etc. Can't see button something like "add cargo". Any help?

Alles Käse? ;)
Meine Output Industrie wandelt sich während des laufenden Spiels selbstständig von Calzium zu Käse?
Input von Rohöl zu Getreide?

All cheese? ;)
My output industry changes automatically from calcium to cheese during the game?
Input from crude oil to grain?

One thing I've noticed is that the production rate of this industry is sometimes fast and sometimes slow, is this a bug?
johnbarney63 Apr 2, 2024 @ 3:08pm
I have a train depot and the factory is set-up to do 2 in 2 out, but when I do it gives me the fuel with no problem and fills the whole platform with fuel. No Food. And yes. Line is set up for food and fuel. What am I doing wrong. I have a station with 2 tracks and 2 platforms. Help please. Ty John
Smoothbrain Aug 31, 2023 @ 6:34pm
This mod is not only great to create custom industries with assets, but I also like to place this right next to existing vanilla industries to increase input & output when I don't feel like spending hours placing assets.
Hushey Aug 21, 2023 @ 10:23am
figured it out , was mail and waste mod. no issues with this mod!

Love this mod, you get an award from me!
oshawotta737 Aug 15, 2023 @ 8:19pm
Hi! How can I ensure that the product actually ends up on platforms shipped? I have a line set up but only a very small portion of the product ends up on the platform compared to the overall supply.
Zeelandius Jun 13, 2023 @ 8:46am
To remove the lag reduce the output, its often way to high
Oldhip May 31, 2023 @ 5:31pm
I assume the author has not looked into the lag issue ??? is it still bad ??
The Legend May 27, 2023 @ 8:45am
Having an issue-I connect a cargo station to the Freelance Industry 2 to receive grain and output food. It receives grain just fine and production is 100%, but it won't load the station at all. What's going on? I've tried replacing the station multiple times, still won't work.
saspry May 11, 2023 @ 8:06pm
Your recent changes? Awesome! Thanks so much!
mohalen Jan 20, 2023 @ 5:20am
I have had the same issue, with this mod - slowing the game down/lag.
I can only imagine it is what the mod does which is not really what the original game had intended. Only thing I have been able to do in games I have it activated is to just play through it. However, I usually end up not playing long as it is just too slow.
Marco aus Berlin Dec 29, 2022 @ 12:45pm
This mod works, but it causes my game to lag, even though I have a fast pc. Currently I have more than 100 mods activated, but the "Freestyle Industries" mod is the only one that causes such lags.

Because the mod is so useful and works so well, I tried everything: started a new game, deactivated most of the other mods and more ... but nothing helped. After using this mod for the first time in a savegame, it starts lagging. And the lags will never go away, even when I deactivate the mod.

Maybe someone has an idea what I can do to avoid the lags?

My frend, bless your little heart and all the happiness and prosperity to you and yours!
This is an ESSENTIAL mod for people (like me) that are obsessed with designing their own towns/stations/industries for an ultimate immersive experience. I cannot thank you enough for making this. With all the hundreds of 3D assets made by kind modders combined with this mod you can truly create massive, immersive industrial platforms with train/truck station integration on your own.
This should have been a feature in the game in sandbox mode, from the start!
Thank you for bringing so much beauty in this game! :)
skywlf77 Nov 5, 2022 @ 10:47am
@CashonWheels I cannot thank you enough for this. Like, Favorited, and Awarded. This is an essential mod for creating amazing, varied, and functional maps and industrial parks.

Part 3:

Conveyor Belt: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2416585284&searchtext=
---This one will allow you to use a conveyor belt system to move your production from industry to industry, so you don't have to transport your goods via road/rail within your industrial megapark.

That should get you started :)
skywlf77 Nov 5, 2022 @ 10:43am
Part 2:

(Some german named mod): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1920437817
---This provides you with rail stations with no buildings. Allows up to 20 tracks. Use with the next mod in this list.

Wye Switch Patterns: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2546064274
---This provides you with numerous track switches. Combine with the german station mod above to create (potentially massive) freight yards that actually FUNCTION as stations, then use the asset mod above to decorate them. I have one freight yard that has 20 tracks surrounded by 8 industries, and every track is usable as a station, so would be great for creating an industrial megapark with this Freestyle Industries Mod.
skywlf77 Nov 5, 2022 @ 10:42am
@Balvor Some of these may help you:

Asset Mega Pack - Collision Enabled: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2003711057
---This provides you with assets versions of every single game object.

Build with Collision: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2660921894
---This will allow you to build even when collisions exist. It will allow you to place the above assets as well as allowing you to create road/rail lines across objects that would normally be prevented. It MIGHT help you with what you are trying to do.
Balvor Oct 25, 2022 @ 12:14am
Can we maybe get some other ground options? Like concrete or even Grass?

What assets u guys use to build the factories? I struggle to find animated ones like chimneys or the moving stuff like the food Industrie.

Also is there a way to manually create paths for vehicles so they can move oder concrete?
MisterHamstring Oct 21, 2022 @ 10:54am
Is there a manual somewhere?
doug Oct 15, 2022 @ 6:16am
@ 新小岩老学长 - Yew this mod will work with Industry Expanded. It will work with all modded industry types.

What does number of employees do?
mrglide Jul 22, 2022 @ 4:29pm
...just make sure your second industry has the demand enough to pull away some of the resources, e.g. oil barrels, to its own platform. It can take some time so be patient.
Unfortunately, you don't get to choose what resource goes where and how much of it. After all, you're just the transport guy; the industries don't pay you enough to think!
mrglide Jul 22, 2022 @ 4:28pm
uBunny - yes you can supply more than one industry with the same resource from the same supplier. I am doing that right now with oil. One route goes one way to Refinery A, and another route goes to Refinery B. All delivering oil drilled from the same supplier.
But you need to bear in mind it can take time for the second route to establish a presence and get its own fair share of resources to transport.
Remember this is a demand driven game, so if the initial industry has a strong demand, it will affect how soon the second industry gets a look in - which could take some time.
I can assure you though, it does work. Yes it can be a bit hit and miss to be fair, but as i said, that's really just down to the way the demand logic works, not a problem with the game itself.

µBunny Jul 9, 2022 @ 1:03pm
I give up.
I did some tests on the issue I was having and came to the conclution that, if you have more than one industry that use the same resource, then you have to supply each indusrty with that resource from it's own supplier. Other wise one of them will soak up most of the resource while the others get the scraps. Adding more production of that resource at the source for it, doesn't really help, the platform for the domminating line just keep overflowing while the platforms for the other lines still just get scraps.
I tried using a mod I found that was supposed to fix the clutter on the stations, but it didn't help at all.
µBunny Jul 7, 2022 @ 5:37pm
Thanks, but I'm close to giving up on this game, unless someone can fix the goods distribution issue with the game. Seems to me that one has to have one industry of a certain product for each consumer of that product, I've even tried to feed the industry with more than is being shipped, but it just keep over filling the platform for one line while the others get very little.
That crap with the game is rather annoying, if there only were a way to tell the industry how much of it's production should go to each consumer.
µBunny Jul 7, 2022 @ 3:23am
I wish the game had a land claim option.
µBunny Jul 7, 2022 @ 3:22am
Any chance you can make it so that we have a choice of having the stored goods visible/hidden?
I would also like to see a choice to have the indusrty area none collision/collision. I've been trying to build my distribution centers of Yeol's SI in the cities to make it more realistic, but the damned AI keep building on top of them. I have tried to use buildings that have collision active to prevent them from it, but it look silly when the stored goods appear partly inside the buildings.
Another thing that would be nice is being able to tag an asset build as the industry.
briansyston Jul 3, 2022 @ 8:24am
Hay good news now supports Extended Industries no more Fish from farms.
Yeol Jun 29, 2022 @ 5:15am
Thank you for having made this mod compatible with Senseless Industries. Once I'm back into this game, I will certainly play with this combination. It will combine the extended logistics with unique industrial buildings and plants. Looking forward to check it out!
doug Jun 27, 2022 @ 6:19am
For industries that were added to your map before the most recent update, if you want to access the lower maintenance cost, you'll need to force the industry to update. The easiest way to do this will be to access its configuration menu and change the production level - even if you immediately change it back to the previous level.
CashonWheels  [author] Jun 26, 2022 @ 7:04am
updated, again.
OldScout Jun 24, 2022 @ 9:10pm
FYI I can answer my own question below. Even without the commonapi2 mod loaded, as soon as you use this mod to put down any industry you immediately start getting charged a huge amount of money as Infrastructure Maintenance. I put down a level 1 Stockyard, and I immediately started getting charged $1m per year. As soon as I deleted the stockyard the charge went away.

Honestly this mod is pretty much unusable like this.
OldScout Jun 24, 2022 @ 5:01pm
Just out of curiousity, does the new api thing take care of the problem with getting charged huge sums of money for maintenance if you put any new industries down?
Jackie Shay Jun 18, 2022 @ 12:44pm
Sweetness!
CashonWheels  [author] Jun 18, 2022 @ 9:03am
Now updated with compatibility for all Industry mods.
CashonWheels  [author] Jun 18, 2022 @ 9:01am
commonAPI is now defunct, replaced by the games API after an update.
Mebby - Allkeyshop Jun 10, 2022 @ 9:45pm
How to make the commonapi to show in game? I dont have the button ..
Jackie Shay May 16, 2022 @ 11:14am
@Yeol what you could do as a stop-gap measure for compatibility, until you can work something out; is to directly edit the relevant files of this mod for compatibility. It's like four text documents, I've made edits myself to make it compatible with the older version.

If @Cashonwheels will allow it, you could upload those files to some kind of trusted depository with instructions on how to install the files for users to download and install.
Hushey May 12, 2022 @ 3:14pm
yes same issue as oldscout. Game is unplayable as im being charged 6 million for having i think 4 industries with this mod. Please fix!!
OldScout May 12, 2022 @ 2:55pm
I don't know if it's your mod that allows users to place any industry they want, but if so I just wanted to point something out. I just did some testing and by adding a level 12 coal mine I get charged $20,000,000 every year in "Infrastructure Maintenance".

I wasn't sure if that was a feature of the mod or not. It would be great if we are being charged the maintenance for the coal mine that we would also be allowed to reap the profit from all the goods being shipped out, (not just from the transportation of said goods). Similar to how the old Railroad Tycoon games used to work.
Yeol Apr 26, 2022 @ 10:49pm
I will try to construct something. If I find the method, I'll come back to you. Thanks for giving it a try.
CashonWheels  [author] Apr 26, 2022 @ 5:23pm
@yeol you would need to find someone who can script that into my mod. There is way for game to pull up all available cargos in a save. So that FSI would work with any industry mod. I'm not a programmer by trade, so that is beyond my capability.
Yeol Apr 23, 2022 @ 2:31pm
@CashonWheels, hello. Would you allow me to include your Freestyle Industry scripts into my Senseless Industries mod? Many players would like to play both, but it's not compatible for the moment. Or would you consider to include the cargo types of Senseless in to your mod? What's your idea about this? Best regards
Yolosaurus Rex Apr 18, 2022 @ 8:51am
Would it be at all possible to get an update or an add-on that allows me to create custom industries that use Yeol's various goods, please? :D
