Just using the vpk won't work you have to unpack the vpk file and then copy over the .bik file to your left for dead 2 folder over writing the original.

Worked for me. Make sure you follow the instructions to a t. And there is no need to get smart and cuss. Just state what you did just saying it don't work don't tell me how to help you fix it.

Ok lads I got it, if you want only the new intro, add ".old" to all of the background files. For example "l4d2_background01.bik" into "l4d2_background01.bik.old" (including ...03.bik , ...04.bik, ...05.bik). So now only the new file plays in the bacground :)

It took me 10 to 15 tryes sometimes to get it to come up. L4d2 randomizes the back ground it has 5 to chose from so it can chose the same background bik over and over a few times in a row cause its random .

No there isn't sorry, them .bik files can not be replaced by a simple vpk. It's pretty easy to do just watch the video i made to install it. You will get the hang of it.
