The 'error message' is not intelligent, it's a setting set by the author.
It does not actually indicate that the mod will actually crash the game.

Set the 'severityAdd' to 'None' and 'severityRemove' to 'Warning' or 'Critical'

There's a serious error message when attempting to add this mod to a saved game - "Warning: adding this mod will likely cause the game to crash."
