Can you upload a version that has industries placed like they should be? I just feel like if I put them down myself I will have already basically played the map before I actually get to play it. Thanks.

Oh, yay, I got it working...

For some reason I am unable to start playing this map... I've subscribed to the mod, and can't access it either via free game or map editor. I did scroll down through the comments, but I can't find the file path for allowing experimental map sizes...

Map looks pretty good. Honest opinion is this is better than the Trainz version. Now if there were only the trains, sheds, and a round house to go with it all.

@DPT: Gordon's Hill is between Wellsworth and Cronk, north of Suddery.
Culdee Fell is due east of Peel Godred, north-west of Rheneas.

See the "inspired by" map linked in the description above for a highly detailed map of the island.
There will no doubt be some conflicts between the various editions of books and TV, this TpF map is based on the above map by Chris Signore & Michael Ubrihien.

what of gordons hill is it accurate to the show or the books? and what of the mountain Culdee Fell ?

Well That's awesome. Now if only Urban Games could fix those stability problems. :Kotori:

Also, on the Discord for a few of the modders, someone IS INDEED working on the Sodor Engines 1-11 bu I cannot say who ;) Or I shall spoil the next story...

I would like to clarify that TpF2's bumpy and unsmooth terrain is what I am referring to. Not the map as I have yet to play it and don't really know how smooth it is for trains.
Samgineer Jan 30, 2020 @ 5:40am
The Island of Sodor is surrounded by beautiful blue seas. It has fields of green and sandy yellow beaches. There are rivers, streams and lots of trees where the birds sing. There are windmills and a coal mine and docks where visitors to the island arrive! The island also has lots and lots of railway lines! [Extended version of Hit's failed attempt of brainwashing me due to how bumpy and unsmooth the terrain is for most trains. Seriously, it's like fuckin' Michigan everywhere, even in the dessert climate. As soon as the Narrow Gauge trains mods come to TpF2 I'm hoppin' on that train!]

Thank you for this. I was watching the show just the other day and wishing someone would make a map of Sodor.
Sqweloookle Jan 9, 2020 @ 9:43am
After validating I forgot to redo the exp map sizes but I did that. The map won't load in editor but in free game it will. I just left a game of the map, the stdout.txt file has several "Error: Invalid texture"s but it loaded fine, so not sure what that is all about lol.

I knew someone would end up doing this. Now it's up to us to add the mods for the British Rail Equipment.

@Sqweloookle: I'm not sure why it would crash. Can you load the map normally (as a game, not in the map editor)? Do you have Experimental Map Sizes enabled (in \Steam\userdata\<steamid>\1066780\local\settings.lua)? How much RAM do you have? Can you generate a random "Huge, 1:1" map in the Map Editor without crashing?
Sqweloookle Jan 9, 2020 @ 12:18am
Dammit, I tried to load the map to generate industries but it crashed the game.
Sqweloookle Jan 8, 2020 @ 11:19pm
So awesome. Thank you.

@Sqweloookle: Yes, the geography (including town names) is as accurate as I could make it. See the links in the description at the top of the page.
Sqweloookle Jan 8, 2020 @ 11:05pm
Are the towns named after places in the show?
