Two days ago I uploaded a version for Build 35915...
CommonAPI2 adds, replaces, detours the game binary code. As TPF2 is written in C++ and compiled the result is plattform specific. So every version of TransportFever2 is totally different.
I can only support Linux and Windows on x64. There won't be any Mac version.
https://commonapi2.bytetransfer.de/
And even in the filebase entry, the old english quickstart guide in the wiki is linked too.
If you don't know why you want it, please don't install it...
So yes it is a programmed tool, not a program tool, to allow you to experience more. Follow the transportfever.net link and you will learn as to what else can be done.
All support question via https://www.transportfever.net/ , there it is possible to upload stdout.txt as zip...
Use CommonAPI2 20230422 and important the buildoverwrite feature.
There are two documentations in English how to use buildoverwrite... (Both have pictures and step by step guides)
See here:
https://www.transportfever.net/thread/13025
The news on the forum thread are multilingual, so German and English too..
You can create a post at transportfever.net (german, english) ,
or use the english international or german discord

WhenI install (not via Steam, drop the zip content in the mod folder) I get the red error, but when I click on it I do not ghet the settings shown in the buiildoverwrite description. I get this:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AruQImR_TWYmg6F_vgui7PsXcOKAyw?e=HssMWL
Could you help me please?
Again: There is english step by step guide here about buildoverwrite via picture:
https://www.transportfever.net/lexicon/index.php?entry/361-commonapi2-quickstart-guide/#6-buildoverwrite
1. Read the description, again read it!
2. Download CommonAPI2 from transportfever.net
3. Additional use buildoverwrite
Ich bitte um Entschuldigung!
"Dummy mod without code, please remove from savegame and unsubscribe ."
It’s currenly a pointer for people to the right ressources.
Thank you for your input.
I am even more confident now to never release a full version here again…

Please see comments below.
UGs UI Toolkit on the main menu is not stable enough for a steam mod version.
Note: The mod on downloadable on transportfever.net uses a binary library (written in c, c++) and is platform and game version dependent. It intercepts render calls, creates a vulkan / opengl overlay window system and does a lot other game related changes on the fly.
Go to https://www.transportfever.net/filebase/index.php?entry/4806-commonapi2/ to download the mod itself, fiddle around with the link, the download button is around the top left of the text box.
Once downloaded, navigate to your mods folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\usernumber (This is unique for each play, but it is already defined for you, and there should only be one number in there if you're the only steam user on that computer.)\1066780\local\mods
Unpack the file within that mods folder.
Launch transport fever 2
When that red error pops up, scroll down until you can see the Build Overwrite box, and paste this:
steam_[Current build number]_1
As of November 19th 2021, the current build number is 34983.
Click save and restart transport fever 2. If it worked correctly the CommonAPI2 box should appear in the top left and you can edit mod properties from there.
