@John Doom
I will still give this a go sometime, right now I have more modds than I know what to do with.
John Doom  [author] Aug 29, 2021 @ 4:19pm
@Diamondback I think not, I think it's like in Oblivion, though it was a long time ago
Diamondback Aug 29, 2021 @ 2:20am
This is if You get caught committing them right?
John Doom  [author] Sep 17, 2018 @ 3:18pm
@Rocky McRockerson I see, sorry you stepped into a bug. If you can't reload an older save previous to installing this mod, I think you should be able to manually fix this problem for each NPC who hates you by using the "setrelationshiprank" command (see here: http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Console) .
Rocky McRockerson Sep 17, 2018 @ 1:55pm
Well first off it's called True RPG: Infamy System, so that's a big sign, then there's the fact that when I uninstalled it and restarted my game, everything was fine.
John Doom  [author] Sep 17, 2018 @ 1:54pm
@Rocky McRockerson I'm not sure I understand. How do you know it's this mod the culprit? Did you install it?
Rocky McRockerson Sep 15, 2018 @ 2:48pm
So since I can't find anything about any infamy mods in Skyrim, I believe this is the culprit of my problem.

My problem? I constantly lose infamy for no reason. Now everyone hates me and won't talk to me. Fun!
chebonaparte Mar 21, 2017 @ 1:46am
works good but am retesting old skyrim and needed a horse and the guy wont talk/sell horse! lol
jade harley!! Jul 30, 2016 @ 5:27am
he's like the mortal version of sheogorath
jade harley!! Jul 30, 2016 @ 5:26am
this will be perfect for my character who became a servant of sheogorath after he saved him(....idk why he did that....he was supposed to make cheese FOR EVERYONE. my char also has wabbajack) and he goes around doing random crimes and attacking people........WITH THE WABBAJACK xD it would make since for people to try to avoid him

@Shadow0fnight425
:D I can't teach you modding, it would need a lot of time. But I will point you in the right direction:
-first, you need Skyrim's "Creation Kit" to make your mods. You should find it in Steam's software's library for free;
-next, you need to know how to program scripts, specifically Skyrim's papyrus language (http://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Category:Papyrus);
-on http://www.creationkit.com you can find lots of good reference material on how to mod Skyrim, but googling can sometimes be even more useful;
Modding can be hard, not to mention the Creation Kit crashes a lot (I always had to make backups of my scripts just to be sure :D ), but with enough free time and patience, it's lot of fun :)
Sundavr May 5, 2016 @ 4:48am
Well if your willing to teach me how to do it, or show me some reference material as to how, I would be happy to learn (Am trying to become an awesome modder)
John Doom  [author] May 5, 2016 @ 3:52am
@Shadow0fnight425 I'm sorry to read this. Honestly it's been so long that I don't remember if this was actually intended or if it's a bug, just that it was based on Oblivion's infamy system.
I'd like to improve this mod and make new ones, but saddly I can't anymore, since I'm now working on my own commercial videogame: http://thebigboss94ita.deviantart.com/gallery/55464791/Twistedline-medical-videogame
Sundavr May 4, 2016 @ 7:15pm
@ GlumpyCat, I agree 100%. I love realism, but how would you gain infamy if no one knows YOU did it? If this can be corrected I'll Subscribe to it and give this mod a positive vote, but for now, Favorites only
DoggoSpin Mar 2, 2015 @ 7:50am
I didn't follow any command of daedric prince, save relative character, and i got infame.
it's unfair!
GlumpyCat Feb 9, 2015 @ 9:31am
Only a small Idea: What if the "infamy" only rises when you are actually detected? I am a skilled thief and well, I never got busted (only after I killed Faengar but that should actially give you a boost -.-) and still, everyone avoids me.
My idea is to make the Infamy rather rise with the overall bounty collected and maybe, just maybe make every town/city independend, so maybe I for example really like Whiterun after I killed Faengar so I won't commit any more crimes there but kill and steal a lot in Windhelm because screw Stormcloaks. Shouldn't i be a lot more feared in Windhelm than in Whiterun? I think this could work when making the system work based on the bounty rather than on the committed crimes. I know it's a LOT I ask for but I really enjoy the mod as it is but... this would make the whole thing so much more realistic and more worthy for RP porpuses.
Melletch Jan 11, 2015 @ 7:47pm
Yikes, should have paid attention to quest barriers. Like it. Realistic. But wasn't prepared on this playthrough.
John Doom  [author] Oct 31, 2014 @ 7:34am
@Stealth You probably got infamy because you completed daedric quests.
Ebonloch Sep 23, 2014 @ 6:52pm
but I totally DO like the others, expecially the rivival mod. CPR looks like I am humping him! XD
Ebonloch Sep 23, 2014 @ 6:50pm
i have a fun story to share while using this mod.

I decided to use this mod for several reasons, but it did not have them.

one day, I walked into riverwood and decided to kill everybody, but after I downloaded the lucario follower mod, he decided to ignore me. Alendrien Awesome Betwayed by his own pokemon!!!

Unsubscribe NAO if you knwo whats best for you...

I didn't even need to hurt or even punch anybody. I talked to a few, ran itno them, and GOT infamy. WTF?! Now I can't even get Spellbreaker for finn's sake...

Thanks modmaker! -Stealth
TstyTcos Jun 4, 2014 @ 10:09am
Nevermind, it fixed itself
TstyTcos Jun 3, 2014 @ 12:49pm
I have a question, I downloaded the mod, but I got tired of it saying "infamy added" like every second, so I uninstalled it, now everyone is still avoiding me, any idea how to fix this?
justlovemonsters Mar 7, 2014 @ 9:48am
I could see this working if it were a slider scale between Fame and Infamy, like in the Fable games. Become too infamous and people avoid you, while if you've done some great things to make you famous they will accept you more. Simply becoming infamous and having people stop talking to you almost seems like a dead-end road.
John Doom  [author] Feb 26, 2014 @ 8:29am
@gaming rabbit
On a second thought, I understand you can't play the main quest line if you're the bad guy... That's not reasonable. I should try to find a way to fix this.
John Doom  [author] Feb 24, 2014 @ 2:46am
@gaming rabbit
This mod aims was to lock some quests if you are "the bad guy", so I can't change it (have you ever played Daggerfall or Morrowind?).
So, I understand you don't like this idea, but if I change reputation removing it, this mod becomes completely useless.
magiy Feb 7, 2014 @ 5:04pm
ok 1. make it so you can actually turn quests i had to uninstall this mod becuase i got a bounty on me from the thalmor quest now when i talk to him he never talks to me he just says "i have no buiness with lowlifes" i can't talk to the jarls i can't talk to inn keepers i think you know what i mean now 2. i know nothing to put under this number
elonin Nov 21, 2013 @ 6:49pm
My point was in morrowind and to a lesser extent in morrowind i saw different groups. Guards and bandits and ash creatures all waiting to attack but existing cozy until i show up. should have been like that scripted fight in that daedric ruin.
Rejex Nov 20, 2013 @ 2:32pm
Well, i could see how they would perhaps only come after you if you were a current threat, and since it IS skyrim, It seems it would be more of a rickety justice system ( if you know what i mean) But also at the same time, i dont see how you could kill everyone in town, then just spend the night in jail and nobody cares at all, Also with the guards, it is quite annoying when they ask if somone stole my sweetroll after i just singlehandedly ended a bandit raid and an assault from 2 dragons at once. :/
John Doom  [author] Nov 20, 2013 @ 3:21am
@djthesavioroftime
Lazy? Sure. Realistic? Nope lol
Personally I can't stand them lol: I mean, they know you're an assassin, but they let you come closer... I don't know, man lol
Calfurious Nov 19, 2013 @ 3:18pm
@thebigboss94ita

To be honest guards only caring about crimes only if you do it front of them is pretty realistic imo. I mean they live in SKYRIM, a very dangerous place that's only getting more dangerous due the war and dragons. Guards may be willing to upload the law and arrest you if you have high enough bounty, but they won't go out of their way to track your ass down.
A combination of laziness and self-preservation tells them to just keep their head down and do their jobs. I think the way guards handle crimes could of been done better, but I like how they have a more..well "personality", then the guards had in Oblivion.
John Doom  [author] Nov 16, 2013 @ 7:35am
@elonin
Making a mod that checks if you are a good guy for certain quests is not really difficult, but it means making a lot of different modifications that in the end may probably break something.
elonin Nov 16, 2013 @ 6:38am
Those games had their own craziness as well. People whose dialog would comment as to how much of a friend you are and then vocalize how i am an n'wah. What is the difficulty when dealing with people after passing the criterea (most of these quests or bounty)? I do tend to play sneaky folks, but want more realism. I know it is out of the perview of your mod but factions should be overhauled. I'd do it myself but don't know modding.
John Doom  [author] Nov 16, 2013 @ 5:30am
@elonin
yh, I hate guards when they say that. It's like they only care of your crimes if you commit them right in front of them. It was very different in older TES games like Daggerfall and Morrowind.
elonin Nov 16, 2013 @ 5:09am
This sounds like a great idea. Will such people not associate with you at all? There should definately be consequences for joining different guilds (ie dark brotherhood and imperial factions). However how do most people necessarily know you've joined the dark brotherhood if you never got a bounty and don't wear their gear? Not related to this mod It drives me nuts that guards are saying "I know who you are, Hail Sithis".
Kedavix Nov 15, 2013 @ 6:54pm
@thebigboss94ita
Okay, nice to know.
John Doom  [author] Nov 15, 2013 @ 3:14pm
@Kedavix
No, sry. I went for the "straight way" of Daggerfall.
Kedavix Nov 15, 2013 @ 3:12pm
@thebigboss94ita Interesting mod. I just have one question. Does infamy go down as you perform good deeds, or perhaps after a period of time without comitting a crime?
Saucy Jack Nov 15, 2013 @ 2:17pm
@thebigboss Wow, thanks, keep modding by the way this mod looks awesome!
John Doom  [author] Nov 15, 2013 @ 2:13pm
@lostlk
xD Don't worry about that: just have fun making your vids!
Saucy Jack Nov 15, 2013 @ 1:26pm
Sweet, thanks for letting me use the mod, im a new youtuber so dont expect many new downloads tho.
{C.S.A} Misfit_1995 Nov 15, 2013 @ 8:42am
thanks
{C.S.A} Misfit_1995 Nov 15, 2013 @ 7:39am
I tested you other "TrueRPG" mods out but I forgot how the name of them was, could you make a link in your descrition to the other "TrueRPG" mods?
John Doom  [author] Nov 15, 2013 @ 2:18am
Sure, why not? lol
Don't forget the other TrueRPG mods I made: "infamy system" is only a part of the whole TrueRPG project.
Saucy Jack Nov 14, 2013 @ 11:14am
Wow, I was looking around for some mods for my "Let's Roleplay skyrim" youtube video and a found this, mind if I use it in the video?
John Doom  [author] Nov 14, 2013 @ 2:11am
@Adura
Sure. Infamy increases if:
-your bounty increases;
-you complete most of the dark brotherhood's quests;
-you complete most of the thieve's guild's quests;
-you complete most of the daesdra's quests.

How it works is actually pretty simple. Earlier The Elder Scroll's games had a similar system, though (except for Oblivion and its Fame/Infamy system) it was faction based.
I'm glad you like my mod, though I really whish I could do more... yet, I couldn't. I'm sorry.
Aduro Nov 13, 2013 @ 7:17pm
I'm intrigued ^^
You may wish to include a more comprehensive list of things that change, and how they change as you commit crimes.

Do you need to get caught, for instance?
Spinach Salad Nov 13, 2013 @ 5:27pm
like the mod more people should subscribe
rob Nov 13, 2013 @ 12:54pm
interesting concept, I like the idea; brings some elements of realism to the game
