Makes sense. This mod hasn't been updated ever since klei re-made the sound effects for everything and probably won't be updated. I only made it, because the old default sound was way too high pitched.

Okay, some findings: I tried disabling all my other mods and verifying integrity of game files yesterday and it didn't help, but I tried a fresh install just now and it did fix both problems! The default sounds are back and the mod is working fine. Don't know what caused the problem but I greatly appreciate your help. If anyone else gets either problem I had, a clean install sorts them.

The code is only one line, which only replaces the pickup sound, so unless Klei changed the code somehow, I have no idea how to fix it.

I can't find any other pickup sound mods on the workshop to test! Unfortunately this doesn't seem to have fixed it, though. I don't know anything about DST modding but I'd blindly assume the sound is taking the same id slot as the new Wanda sounds and overwriting or shuffling them or something?

I optimized the mod a little, maybe that fixed it?

I don't have Wanda so I can't test myself, but does it do the same thing with other pickup sound mods?

The Wanda update seems to have had an odd effect on the mod, as it shuffles the sounds of her Alarming Clock, making it play the empty sound when it is fuelled and she is young, and the normal sound when she is middle age, instead of the increased damage sound. Old age is normal though. Additionally uninstalling it removed the pickup sound entirely from my main world.

I will check it out at the end of the week. Check if you have any other mods that modify sounds, they could somehow interfere. This mod is really simple, it can't really break itself.

In my personal preference, I'd just revert the sounds back to the original sounds. I mean, I guess this is ok?

Nah, the default sound hurts my ears when I pick up a lot of objects.
