I'm not sure whats going on on your end, I'm able to set my tears stat and my stat changes reset whenever a new run is started, you got any error messages appearing in the console?
Could be an old version or corrupted file, maybe try deleting the mod off your pc so steam downloads a fresh copy?

for some reason my tears keep setting to 15 whenever i set it to be 1, also why do the stat changes save over runs?

I unironically use it to nerf myself, you know sometimes you get a op build far before even getting to depthts, making the late game kinda trivial, so i use it to give it a little challenge if needed

can confirm it was this mod that caused my tjudas issue, the moment i uninstalled it dark arts didnt put me to 1.0 and i could go into the mother's shadow sequence with 1.23 speed

not sure if this stems from the same issue as that guy w the tsamson bug, but whenever i use dark arts as tjudas, i lose all speed ups (and my speed gets set to 1.0, not 1.23) plus going into the mother's shadow sequence set me at 0.10. i havent fully a/b tested if its this mod or not yet but its the same kind of bug (a repentance char's pocket active) and its the only relevant mod id dled since the last time i played tjudas without issue.

hmm, i swear i fixed that ages ago (checking change notes june 2021)
tested today to check and that didn't happen to me
i think either you've got a really old version and need to download the latest version (delete the mod off your pc)
or maybe another mod you have is messing with the REPENTANCE value (which is used by the checks for berserk/tainted samson)

if re-downloading doesn't work I'd see if it happens after disabling other mods

this mod breaks Tainted Samson resetting his speed to 0.1 everytime berserk ends

too bad there are in-game restrictions to make me not allowed to have tears 420

There's a bug with removing an item that had put you below a hardcoded minimum
Shot Speed has a minimum of 0.6; grab Lazy Worm (-0.5 shot speed) while at 1 shot speed, then drop it; you'll go up to 1.1 Shot Speed with this mod enabled (despite not using its features)

Tainted Samson has his movespeed set to 0.10 after a Berserk! for some reason, please fix. Overall amazing mod

for some reasons it works at random intervals. like, one day it works and another day it doesnt. its great and all but i think theres a thing to do with repentance. not sure tho.
