This mod hasn't been updated since February. I suggest you wait a bit since the official translation is coming out in a few months

I got a box error saying "Missing Language Data En", but it just plays as normal. However I can't get past tutorial stages since the game freeze, not sure if it's related or not.

I'm having some weird trouble with the Settings.rar file. Specifically, both Winrar and 7zip tell me that the file's corrupted, and can neither open it nor extract it.

@Oz'~ Heres what I did. DL'ed game. Subscribed to mod. Enabled mod with ying yang box, game loads mod. Now theres a Chinese flag just above the menu thats still untranslated, click that and click mod. Now it reloads in English. Click the gamemode and it brings up untranslated text, I screenshot it and translate it in an image translator and it says "play the tutorial first". So I click tutorial, I guess the explanation is new because its untranslated. Theres a button at the bottom that I assume says play. Click that, an error briefly flashes but it still loads the tutorial.

Idk why the mod says settings need to be extracted because that only caused problems when I did it. Same when I followed the directions on the discord, didn't help.

I just buy this game yesterday and tried the mod.
I Sub it, and extract the setting.rar in the Setting Folder.
Exactly like how the YouTube Guide show.
I change the Language Flag to Mod/En, i Active the YinYang symbol...
I reset the game so many times. I unninstall and instal the game 3 time.
Yet the Language is still Chn... The only one translated is Cultivation speed setting.
So... Can Anyone Help me, as Wuxia Reader I hate it if i cant play this game.

@Anime4You, no, the latest update is completely untranslated so far. The official translation is rolling out in a few months, so it might be a good idea to lay the game off until then.

Okay... attempting to activate the first tutorial informs me I'm missing language en and then gets a bit of the way into an introductory cutscene before crashing. I think I've done something wrong here...?

I got as far as enabling the mod and switching to english, but trying to start a game mode gives me an untranslated sentence whose only response is 'okay', which puts me back at the title screen. Any ideas?

@nozgrd74, You need to change the language flag in the upper right part of the menu. Feel free to join the discord - there's a detailed guide on installing the mod there.

I overwrote the settings files, enabled the mod (yin yang symbol lit). It reloaded and popped up and said something about the english mod. Nothing translated. I picked the first symbol option in the menu and started a level, not one english word, just a bunch of chinese. :(

I just wanted to say thank you, because this game is great.
Even if there are many dialogues, character titles, and parts of the game that remain incomprehensible (some pills, and arrays), this game is already completely awesome.
And I would never have touched it without this mod, so I salute the work already accomplished.

@Dead God, and since it's experimental, i don't mention it on workshop. The english speaking community is mainly active in the discord channel, and that's where i usually put info on the .rar (and the mod in general)

@Dead God, experimental contains modified game dlls that allow me to translate some text that is untranslatable by default. However, since its modified game code, some bugs may potentially occur (although i do play using it myself and try to make it as clean as possible), so i left it in separate .rar. I generally advise to use it, but some may not be quite comfortable with it.

For some reason the game cuts off majority of the description, and it's a pain to edit it on steam each time i update.

I don't mean to be disrespectful in any way, whatsoever, but you should really improve the description of the mod page. There's no information on how to activate the mod.
I figured out how to turn it on thanks to a comment here, and the fact that the game led me into the mod menu when i opened the game the first time, but I had no idea that I then had to change the language manually, by clicking on the small chinese flag.

Something like: To activate the mod you have to enter the mod menu in game, by clicking the lowest button on the left, and then clicking the small, round button next to the mod name, until a Taoist icon appears. Then, you have to press the small chinese flag on the main menu, and click on the invisible flag that appears underneath it, and restart the game.

Or something like that.

I love this mod and i know how hard it is to translate something into another language but i hope you will soon translate the whole stuff that doesnt chage a lot like the interface on the disciples. Keep up the good work.

Nevermind, I got help on the Discord, thanks everyone! I had to click the black circle in the mod page which then turned into a tao symbol

Help, I can't get this to run. If I unpack the experimental.rar file it seems to break the menus, but if I don't there's no way to activate the mod. I can find it in the mods folder but not activate it. I did unpack settings.rar. What's going wrong here?

@jaeger, the base functions are all translated - basic items, buildings, events etc. the current patch is largely untranslated. Overall you can play the game just fine, but might encounter difficulties once you enter mid-late game. You can join discord and request translations of particular stuff if you need it to progress.

@CaoLex, thanks for pointing that out, for some reason description got botchered. You should unpack the archive into the game folder (and overwrite the settings folder)

Okay, apparantly I searched wrong disk for it.
steamapps\workshop\content\955900\1875864004\Language
But WHERE I should unpack it?

Throught the game too, aside of "Unpack settings.rar or something but I don't know where it is, I can't find it at Workshop folder of steam client.
