Instructions:
1. Make sure all players have subscribed to mod on Steam
2. Start a new l4d2 lobby using VERSUS mode
3. Make sure server is LOCAL
4. Make sure the map you choose is one of the ones listed above
5. Start game and press "i" key to choose different props

Well I think this mutation must have been broken ever since the community update came. Kinda not surprised that nobody hasn't complain about this bug yet.

It's not a mutation, you can start it as versus, coop etc, you still will be able to play it

Updated. Sorry for this, when I reworked Prop Hunt functions I forgot that on the initial maps after turning off intro's for a while you can't change positions of survivors

Yeah.
Basically any map that it was happening on, it was the "hunter" being spawned at the safe area towards the start of the map but the prop was spawned on the side of the map closer to the safe room on the end of the map or somewhere in the middle of the map.

Dark carnival 1 map, hunter at safe area (start of highway)
Prop was by the motel rooms but hunter couldnt get into it because there was a fence and invisible wall blocking it.

Hard Rain 1st map, Hunter at safe area ( by the boat dock)
Prop was spawned on the other side the of the map that starts behind the playground area.
(That part is blocked off by bushes and invisible walls)

Parish 1st map was the example I just gave you.

To be more specific, for example, "hunter" would spawn at the very start of the Parish 1st map
(in the safe area) and then the "prop" would be spawned on the side of the Parish 1st map near the safe room. There was a fence blocking "hunter" from crossing over to that side of the map so "prop" had to kill itself.

It was happening on the Dark Carnival map 1, Parish map 1 and Hard Rain map 1.

You know how there are invisible walls and some fences that are used to block off us from certain parts of the map?

What was happening is at times, is that at the beginning of the round whoever was a "prop" was getting place on the inaccessible side of those invisible walls or the fences.

We would have to keep killing ourselves by switching teams since the "hunter" couldn't reach the "prop". Eventually after a killing/switching teams it'll correct itself the next round but it would happen several times throughout trying to play on the map.

All maps or a specific one? Because I don't have problems with 'getting spawned out of bounds'

We keep getting spawned out of bounds and are not able to play the round completely due to it :(

Hey I tried to play this with a friend and it was not working for either of us. Any ideas of what we might be doing wrong?

I’ll think about this opportunity, haven't yet found a way to find out about players who are loading

After a map switch there should be a ready feature because some people load in slower than others and those said people have to wait another 5 minutes because the match starts nearly a few seconds in. I don't know how many times I had to wait another 5 minutes just to play.

Maybe this should be a mutation, I feel like it just fits more than normal versus mode.

I wish I had someone to play this with, prop hunt is so much fun.
Though getting it to work seems like too much.. work.
