Oh, okay nice Mod!
Chomps123 Jun 9, 2015 @ 12:12pm
will this go on the nexus?
Neodymus  [author] Mar 27, 2014 @ 12:59pm
Don't know how to fix the brawl bug yet, it is advised to turn the mod off before you start a brawl :>
Screaming_Gecko Jan 23, 2014 @ 3:12pm
i wont say its really bad, you would just have to get use to it
Neodymus  [author] Jan 23, 2014 @ 11:18am
about the crouching: how much will it hit higher? A bit higher is normal - it just comes with increasing the speed. i'm sry but fixing it would require alot of time which i don't have.
Neodymus  [author] Jan 23, 2014 @ 11:13am
If you mean the message that "this save relies on content no longer available..." , you can just ingore it, click on "load anyway".
What i just noticed though you have to re-equip your arrows (they are NOT gone, just not equipped after loading).

if you mean some other message, then idk, because i just get the one stated above.
Screaming_Gecko Jan 22, 2014 @ 6:52pm
also when crouched, the arrow will hit higher then the cross hairs. if this was fixed i would have no problems with this mod
Screaming_Gecko Jan 22, 2014 @ 6:51pm
how do you turn off the mod because when ever i try to uninstall it, it comes up that the save cannot run without it?
Neodymus  [author] Jan 12, 2014 @ 11:06am
@Redkuth:
this is due to the game not tracking the arrow after a certain distance.
Please look up the mod "longer range vanilla weapons" which fixes this.
AlexEinstein Jan 11, 2014 @ 3:08pm
you should make an arrow that has no dropping in hight after a long distance =)
redkuth Jan 11, 2014 @ 1:35pm
as i use this mod i realize over a long distance shot after a certin distance even if the arrow goes throught the target the target doesnt take damage
T-Rexcellent Jan 10, 2014 @ 10:21pm
In my opinion a dragonbone bow's speed value should be over 9000! :)
Alex Jan 4, 2014 @ 11:28am
Also, what the shit are you talking about..

Awesome mod. Thanks for the contribution. I'm trying to make my game a bit more realistic/a lot harder, so this really adds an aspect of intelligence to archery.
Alex Jan 4, 2014 @ 11:27am
Zero punctuation. Ha. Ha ha.
Daganoth Jan 2, 2014 @ 6:30am
and zero punctuation in last post my bad.
Daganoth Jan 2, 2014 @ 6:30am
Slimey skyrim runs the geneva convention a dull arrow isnt used in game but a sharp recovered is a dull arrow can kill but is more likly to just inflict pain in the geneva convention it states not to do unnessacary dammage to another human which is why there are no incidiary or hollow point rounds on a battlefield thus is why you cant pick up a dull arrow because you would just be giving them an arrow in the knee and let them walk away with it
slimey_frog Jan 1, 2014 @ 4:25pm
i dont see why i cant just pull the arrow out of the enemys wooden shield
Alpha Jan 1, 2014 @ 7:56am
Nice I really like it keep it up
snipe238 Dec 31, 2013 @ 9:20pm
The previous posts are in ascending order for reading. I couldn't post it all at once so sorry for quadruple post.
snipe238 Dec 31, 2013 @ 9:18pm
Also, just to take things a bit further, I would have said that a daedric arrow shot from a bow would be slower than an iron arrow shot from the same bow due to differences in weight, but I don't think that could be easily implemented in this game anyway.
snipe238 Dec 31, 2013 @ 9:18pm
I have to agree, however, that the material and quality of craftsmanship of a bow has minimal impact on the speed of a bow, unless one is talking about compounds, but those are a different sort of beast and they are not in the game anyway.

This is a high fantasy game so normal rules don't apply anyway so I'll go along with just about anything. I'm not trying to bash this mod. I'm just being informative and I suppose an archery geek, lol. I will say that having the strongest bows being more than three times faster than the weakest bows is a bit extreme to me.

snipe238 Dec 31, 2013 @ 9:17pm
@Shadow,

That is only partly true. The speed of the arrow is also determined the draw length and the end-to-end length of the bow. Bows with shorter end-to-end lengths are usually faster, although less forgiving. Longer draw length also adds a little speed, meaning a person with a 31" draw length has an advantage over a person with a 28" draw length. The brace height can also impact the speed since shortening the brace height adds to your draw, but you might find yourself getting slapped in the wrist if shortened too much.
Neodymus  [author] Dec 31, 2013 @ 2:01pm
what lachlan said.
plus im pretty sure that material/bow-architecture has small impact on arrow speed too :>

i see where you come from and actually my original idea was indeed to make different draw weights for each bow and so on, but there were some reasons that i decided against it :)
Lased Dec 31, 2013 @ 6:29am
If draw weight was all the same then all the bows would do the same damage so they must be differant draw weights.
Daganoth Dec 31, 2013 @ 3:27am
Sorry for arguing here but arror speed is detrmined by draw wieght from a bow not the matierial it is made from thus skyrim is right if all the bows dovahkiin can find have the same draw wieght thus getting the same speed on the arrow
RugerRoux Dec 30, 2013 @ 8:36am
Great idea for this mod!!
ProMemer420 Dec 29, 2013 @ 6:55pm
dude what about dragonborn? especially bows made of Stalhrim?
Warhog53 Dec 29, 2013 @ 7:50am
This is an excellent idea for a mod! Will make leveling an archer and getting new bows that much more exciting

idk about dragonborn, since i never played it so far and don't know with what materials/new bows it comes and my time is pretty limited for some months at the moment.
Don't expect it :)
Kabana Dec 28, 2013 @ 8:49pm

Kabana Dec 28, 2013 @ 8:44pm

InfiniteBananaTheorem Dec 23, 2013 @ 6:27pm
Dragonbone Bow?
Neodymus  [author] Nov 25, 2013 @ 12:23pm
Hey, if you mean the Nord Hero bow, it has draugr material, hence the same speed as draugr.
I don't know of any other nordic bows in vanilla.
CruentusLupus Nov 21, 2013 @ 8:54pm
What about Nordic bows
{C.S.A} Misfit_1995 Nov 18, 2013 @ 8:56am
oh ok
Neodymus  [author] Nov 15, 2013 @ 12:58pm
Its the bow that you get with the conjuration spell
{C.S.A} Misfit_1995 Nov 15, 2013 @ 7:55am
Bound Bow?? whats that?
Assail Oct 12, 2013 @ 7:56pm
I like the idea. However I think the real problem with the vanilla arrow system is the range where the arrows dissapear and not continue their path.
MonolithicHashies Sep 29, 2013 @ 11:32am
thanks
