Thanks for this mod, I wanna play on TINY to have short games but Paradox thinks them limiting fallen empires was a nice move, right fking right bro.

Unfortunately for 3.14.* Paradox have broken this mod, if you try to increase the amount of fallen empires in the new setup UI, it crashes the game.

I tried looking into spawning or alocating space to falen empires before normal empires are spawned or spawn them after the actual game start, but with my noexistant modding experience it was kinda hard haha

I should clerify, im asking because after playing with your mods (Higher Fallen Empire Limit, Extra Fallen Empires) we find it very hard to play without, but we also find it hard to play without a more populated galaxy (for refrence we tend to enjoy 100~ AI empires in a 1000 star galaxy). So im now looking for a solution :)

I was wondering, do you know of a way to force fallen empires to spawn when there is no space? i and my mate tend to like to play with more AI mods, but even tho there is more than enough space no fallen empires tend to spawn. im guessing it is because they need like a buffer of 3+ systems between them and normal empires. anyway tried for about 2 days to make a mod adressing this(with no modding knowledge and a bunch of gpt help lol) but couldnt really figure it out

I set my galaxy generation settings to 'Huge' but I can only set 8 Fallen Empires - is the 13 supposed to be with 1250 and 1500 stars?

Hi, this and Extra Fallen Empires are great mods. Well done!

Been doing some tweaks myself for a tiny galaxy run and had trouble spawning FEs (only 1 spawned overall in ~5 galaxies I tested).

I changed some numbers and now I can have 13 FEs in a tiny galaxy lol. Here are the things I changed in case you are interested:

1. defines file: NGameplay.FALLEN_EMPIRE_OUTER_BOUNDARY => increased it to 1000
2. map/galaxy/base.txt: fallen_empires.ideal_sq_dist_between => decreased to 5625
3. map/galaxy/base.txt: fallen_empires.min_sq_dist_between => decreased to 2500

During my testing I found change #1 to be essential in tiny galaxies, while changes #2 and #3 are not that important but they still help in minimizing empty spaces between FEs i.e. more opportunities for other FEs to spawn.

It is possible that could be whats happening as fallen empires are spawned after normal empires, and wont spawn if they dont have enough space.

Will it be because I set the number of ordinary empires to the maximum, so that eight fallen empires cannot appear?
