@the_great_khan Click on World Builder => Load Map, then use the second drop down (under the Sort By) to navigate to \steamapps\workshop\content\289070\1792038863\Maps

How do I find this map in the World Builder section of the game? Just want to see where the resources are before I play
TJdutch2006 21. juni 2023 kl. 16:50
I don't know why but this mod eliminates my land units ability to embark. I tried mulitple different tests and set ups but it just seems to be this map. Normally it would be fine but greece is very water based. Any fix or solutions?

is there any enourmous earth map that represents Marmara, Anatolia, Bosphorus Straits, and Middle East in detail as in this map, but containing the whole earth?
Kosro Tiger 6. aug. 2021 kl. 6:02
@Moda

I love this mod, but there's some things taht can be changed/added...

There is not many natural wonders in the map, which can be resolved by adding some wonder lis Mount Everest as Mount Olympus or others.

Some civs can fit in the map such as Gauls that can play the role of the Thracian people...

But aside that, I love this mod and I think it's an awesome mod, I recommend it ;D

McDuck 13. dec. 2020 kl. 14:08
Something wierd about this map the last 2 days:

I start a game, playing as Gathering storm in the Atomic or Information era

However, when the game starts, I'm in Ancient era instead, w/ just 1 settler and 1 soldier. Tried playing Information era, same thing

Don't get this problem playing other maps

Can you check?
Stahlseele 10. okt. 2020 kl. 8:17
Starting as Rome is a bit . . maybe OP?
Complete landmass to yourself, enough city states for your needs . .
A bit low on the rivers for settling new cities though so eh ^^
Αριστομαχος 30. sep. 2020 kl. 12:20
This mod is great! 2 quesions.

Would you add more natural wonders to the map?
I know you have added those which place is in that part of the world, but that lacks balance imho.
An example of what might be a compromise would be like Everest at the place of mt Olympus etc

When can we expect an update?
I'm really looking forward to playing the byz in a map like this starting from Constantinople's tsl.
I tried adding a start to Byzantium through worldbuilder but could not find the civilization amongst the options.
Little Monde 29. sep. 2020 kl. 22:19
alright thanks for looking into it! I'm sure its frustrating. lol I work on bikes for a living and it sucks when things don't function the way you expect them to. You're awesome btw for putting so much work into these maps for the enjoyment of the community!
Moda  [ophavsmand] 27. sep. 2020 kl. 15:28
@Little Monde Yeah, I just tested it with Autoplay both on and off and you're right. The first few Civs take their turns but then the rest don't. I'm not sure why simply adding a spawn for Byzantium would cause this to happen but here we are :\. I'll look in to a solution and probably revert the mod back to an older version for the time being.
Little Monde 27. sep. 2020 kl. 9:51
:/ every time i try to use this map the ai won't settle and the first turn never processes. I am mostly trying it with historic speed and warfare expanded. I add in like twenty civs but have tried it with less and everytime some of the civs settle their first turn but some don't. All spawn in its just that they don't take their turn so the turn never finishes processing. Any ideas why?
bigtardo 22. sep. 2020 kl. 8:01
amazing map , please make a Nordic map of norway sweden finland , denmark
jlymbo02 11. juni 2020 kl. 5:38
Love your maps! Please consider making an Australia or an Australia with New Zealand map! That would be really cool.
Moda  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2020 kl. 11:21
@Jackie Daytona You need to find which folder your mods are in and replace a map file in my mod folder, being sure that the name of your file is the same as the one you replace. OR you can make your own map mod, and look ip a guide on how to do so.
Those are the only ways I know how to get it working, but some googling on how the world builder works might come up with more solutions.
Jackie Daytona 22. maj 2020 kl. 21:59
@Moda When I try to load it into the worldbuilder and save my changes as a new map, I can't find it in the list, but your version is. I don't know why that would happen.
Moda  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2020 kl. 17:15
@SpikedZen: Unfortunately the world builder maps require you to select "Rulesets" that are based on each expansion before you start building (Eg. Gathering Storm's rules, or Rise and Fall's rules). Long story short, this makes maps playable across different DLC combos frustratingly difficult to achieve without re-making each map from scratch for every old expansion. Making my maps playable across all expansions is definitely a future goal once it becomes easier to do.

@Jackie Daytona: You can select "Create Map" in the world builder menu, select "Expansion: Gathering Storm" under "Choose Ruleset," and then select this map under "Choose Map Type." Hopefully that works.
Jackie Daytona 22. maj 2020 kl. 16:56
I'm looking for a way to add phonecia and some other modded civs to the map with start locations for them. I was trying to use the worldbuilder but am having no luck? Any way we could do this? Wanted to add some more greek leaders to the world.
SpikedZen 17. maj 2020 kl. 4:24
Why does this require Gathering Storm again? I only have Rise & Fall and would've liked to play a Peloponnesian War type game :c
Moda  [ophavsmand] 5. maj 2020 kl. 8:09
@Venboven I'm not sure why there are 2 maps showing up for you. If I can figure out why, then I'll try fixing it. Glad one the maps worked for you anyway!
Venboven 4. maj 2020 kl. 23:56
Alright well I loaded up one of the maps and it works great! I guess it's not a big deal. Amazing map by the way. With the "Historical Speed" mod, which slows down the eras, it's extremely immersive. Ir's like living in constant classical Greece. Highly recommend you play with it.
Venboven 4. maj 2020 kl. 22:57
After I subscribed to the mod and tried to play it, I realized that there are two maps to choose from. They're both titled the same thing. Why are there 2, and which one is the right one?
Bordeaux Jeaux 8. apr. 2020 kl. 13:14
I had a strange bug... I had recently found Egypt, which was fine. However, a few turns later, I found the Hattusa civ, with Cleopatra as their leader, in the city of Tbilisi. What happened?
Max 5. okt. 2019 kl. 18:50
Hmm, I didn't realize that. That could lead to a fun thing... capture every city on the map so you can rename them to the correct one lol
Moda  [ophavsmand] 5. okt. 2019 kl. 18:43
@Max
Yes. Spawns will sometimes be close together like that. It's because I placed them based on the location of famous & important cities, many of which are around the Aegean Sea. I personally don't mind it, but I encourage you to edit the map in World Builder if something doesn't quite suit your preferences.
Max 5. okt. 2019 kl. 18:23
I think some of the random spawn points are way too close. A city state spawned 4 tiles from Pericles starting point
Kal'tsit 25. sep. 2019 kl. 22:19
good, we can play assassin's creed
Nizou 29. juli 2019 kl. 15:25
Oh and maybe a dynamic city names system : real city names locations, and even changing with the owner !
Nizou 29. juli 2019 kl. 15:24
Oh yeah with some additionnal content (units, civs, leaders, city states ... maybe from others mods ?) a Pelponesian War would be awesome :D
CoachGunns 14. juli 2019 kl. 20:50
PLEASE DO MORE MAPS JUST LIKE THS PLEASE !! THE WHOLE EARTH COMBINED !!!
J2342 14. juli 2019 kl. 1:15
This would be so cool for a Peloponnesian War scenario. Too bad the map editor can't place cities yet.
21Stone 13. juli 2019 kl. 6:32
This is cool. I already like the accuracy of the archipelago and also my Puglia (the italian region in the hill of the boot shape) seems to be well represented. I will definitely try it but I've already a request: would you be able to entirely represent Sicilia as well? At least Romans will have all the whole Southern Italy to colonize :) thank you for sharing.
Moda  [ophavsmand] 10. juli 2019 kl. 22:24
@zaco I'm very glad you like it! My original plan was to have resources placed randomly with each new game, but unfortunately the world builder doesn't offer that option right now. With my only choice being to place resources manually, I opted for geographic accuracy rather than balance. I thought "If I'm forced to see the same resources in the same spot each game, they might as well make sense!", but I know that choice isn't for everyone. That's why I encourage people to open my map up in the in-game world builder and fiddle with it themselves.

To have semi-random resources there's a "randomise resource" button or something like that in the world builder. It generates random resources like the game does when you launch a new map normally, but keep in mind that once you press "save" those new resources are then permanently fixed to where they've spawned until you decide to edit the map file again.
cubby 10. juli 2019 kl. 13:56
Love the map! Didn't realize how big it was at first and only had 8 civs in my game, but for the first time in all civ 6 I have been able to "colonize" a virgin continent! The only issue I have is resource diversity; it is hard to trade when there are so few types of resources and few to no regionally specific luxuries. But I admire the constraint to accuracy!
ZackAttack51801 8. juli 2019 kl. 20:21
There honestly should have been an Ancient Greek scenario with a large Greece and Anatolia map like this where you could basically play as a Greek city-state and try to conquer the other ones or forge alliances. I feel like that would have been really cool and now I think it might be possible, if someone uses this map for a scenario like that.
misterboomboom 8. juli 2019 kl. 18:25
Malta could be squeezed in perhaps...
lomekian 7. juli 2019 kl. 4:50
Ah well - thanks anyway ;-) its very odd
Moda  [ophavsmand] 6. juli 2019 kl. 20:44
@Badiskm1 I would absolutely love real city naming on my map! Only problem is that feature is beyond my modding capabilities, unfortunately.
Moda  [ophavsmand] 6. juli 2019 kl. 20:39
@Iomekian I just checked, and the only thing my map mod requires is the Gathering Storm expansion. It might be a bug on your end. Sorry! I wish I could help you more :(
Moda  [ophavsmand] 6. juli 2019 kl. 20:34
@Iomekian That's really strange. I haven't heard anyone else with that issue, but I'll look into it
lomekian 6. juli 2019 kl. 16:14
Seems to think it requires other mods to work, but the other mods it requires are blank, so I can;t enable it
Badiskm1 6. juli 2019 kl. 1:16
I loved playing on the map, only thing is it would be so much better if there was real city naming. I would love to be of help if you want to pursue this lmkk:)
truiz024 5. juli 2019 kl. 9:27
Could we get Phoenicia on Cyprus? Just for fun?
Badiskm1 5. juli 2019 kl. 4:49

Added a direct download link
Giffica 4. juli 2019 kl. 16:18
Could I get a seperate download of this? Might want to add some civ start positions for other civs to coincide with historical greek city states.
