@Henchman Dave: I don't have the game or mod currently installed to check, but you can open the mod file with a tool like RPFM und there should be a table where units get assigned RGB (red-green-blue) values as numerals which might be what you're looking for

Awesome Mod!! It also would have been nice if Warriors of the Left had slightly higher Ranged block chance (60% maybe?). But overall, it really helped a lot since Yuan Shu's vanilla unique units are almost trash

Yes, units are affected both in custom battles and the campaigns.

@Greedogre Thank you for the suggestion, I'm currently only doing maintenance on mods but when I get into Three Kingdoms again I'll have a look.

Updated, though I didn't need to change anything. I generally recommend testing for yourself if a mod still works after updates, as especially small changes like this one are very unlikely to become incompatible. Mods showing as outdated doesn't necessarily mean they don't work, only that a patch has been released since they were last edited.

could you plz make use a bigger shield ( tower shield used by imperial guard) or tune down the arrow block chance. i think even for spear guard only have a 50% or block chance while those small shield have 45%... by the way i think this mod really make this unit work

I can definately take a look into making a compatible version, though when that will be I can't tell at the moment. Propably not in the near future

It would be nice to see this mod compatible with unit-remaster-mods if possible. I have tried it and at the moment it does not seem to work with those mods. The shields ether disapear or the units will not be "remastered"

Yeah I do have some unit appearance mods on too. Not clear on which would cause the conflict. something I may look into later.

I just tested it, works for me. You might have some other mod that alters unit appearance activated

Shields invisible for me during my Yuan Shu campaign. The stats works, hilarious to see a shieldwall without the shields.

@Oytis: Yeah you're right with the description, though I chose the shield because it fits well as a kind of progression with the more refined version the Warriors of the Left got.

Nice mod, only a suggestion: the description mention a "gourd" shield, the same that is used by the normal jian infantry. It's only an aesthetic thing, it looks fancier and more apt for a sort of elite unit.

i always thought the description of them having a shield was a mistake. mostly bc that whole paragraph is 90% copy pasta from the jian sword guard description with just a unit name swap.

but still... considering CA may never fix it, this isn't that bad of an idea.
