@Solved it was a really fun project. Once you get the basics of Hammer in-hand, it gets pretty addicting. Keep at it! You'll probably end up making something people still play after 5+ years :)

@Leeroy I'd love to do a third, but I've pretty much scraped the limits of what I can do with L4D2 in a reasonable time frame - new projects (original games and music) have been getting chiseled at for the last decade. Release date: eventually.

How did you even get the amount off motivation to finish this? I mean i have 120 hours mapping on my campaign and i barely could scratch something from my list. Im almost convnced i need 500 hours to finish one map out of three. that's more then my actual playtime. :pokercube:

I found them all :steamhappy: the first I found is on the table, the 2nd is in the room, the 3rd one I didn't find just because I didn't saw it. :steamfacepalm:This map is great! I love it. The snack machine is interesting:steammocking: But I really wish to fight to those huge tank(or Titan?)XD

Easily the best map I've played. A lot of new gameplay mechanics, good level design, beatiful landscapes and a fucking boss fight (kinda)!

I feel like I left a review a few months ago, but I can't find it. So I'll make a new one. Besides, I recently replayed the map and had a much better experience.

When I first played this map, I had challenge myself to beat it on Advanced/Expert first try, as I did at the time. This was a mistake.
I've since become a more casual player, so I play on Easy or Normal unless it's with friends. And Beldurra is a great single player experience, but is clearly designed for co-op in mind. So I recommend you get a friend or two before playing this. At times the routes can seem aimless, but once you find the right path things are a blast. As well, the healing machines are a serious game changer, as are the limited ammo drops.

This is a very good way to train yourself up for challenges like Expert and Realism. I highly recommend this map. Needs a bit more polish, but hopefully when Beldurra 3 comes out, all these concerns will be addressed. 8/10.

This campaign was just beautiful. A little more touch-ups, and I guarantee that it could stand alone as something made by the entire team at Valve.

Although, there was something kinda disappointing. When you weren't allowed to wade too far into the lake, those messages were really egging me on to do it. "Don't wade too fare into the lake!" "Be careful..." "DON'T YA FEKIN DO IT MATE I'M SHAKING TEXT NOW." It built up suspension and begged me to do it, but the delivery was anticlimactic. There was no warning that it would just drop you off a straight edge. You could have at least made it sort of ramp down to tell the player that it will drop them.

To be honest, I was hoping that it would just spawn like 12 tanks in the water to chase you. Now that would be fun!~

Ellis got pushed off the raft and got incapacitated, rest of the bots follows and die. 10/10 would watch them drown again.

@Enos Poor gnome! Though to be fair, his reincarnated form is a lot more useful against the swarming & punching hordes - he'd want you to blast those fools.

I'll see what I can do about giving him a proper send-off (or purpose) in Beldurra 3 ;)

@NEONPRIME.AXL Sounds like another mod/script possibly interfering? The survivor van draws zombies' attention, but that wouldn't interfere with bot aim...

Great campaign with a ton of excellent custom content and gameplay mechanics. The alternative paths and environmental design made this a lot of fun to explore.

The finale was a let down as the bots couldn't stay on the raft and the water wasn't deep enough to pose a threat since they limped along. I would've liked to fight the giant tank at the end.

The common zombies could not reach the raft and the specials weren't much of a threat. Without a tank fight it was all a bit easy.


The endless hordes at the end of map 2 after the car explosion were confusing and there were other horde events that had no real trigger or explanation.

Most of the pros/cons on l4dmaps from myself and other people cover most of the talking points. Some additional polish on this campaign would really take it to the next level.

Oct 1 UPDATE: Issue with missing stringtable dictionaries has been corrected, which should resolve a possible CTD issue when new players join a multiplayer session late in the campaign.

Testing a fix to correct an issue that can cause Beldurra 2 to crash when a new player joins partway through the campaign. Expect an update very soon!
