I tend to avoid most "unrealistic" mods, but this one is definitely nifty enough to warrant use in my case. Nice job.

I guess I also am a sucker for animating skins that ordinarily aren't animated.

I've tried that, and I know it would be awesome if i could pull it off, but it would be more difficult than this. There's a lot of weird things about how GIMP handles curves and gradients and things that make it far more difficult than this. Plus it would need at least as many frames as this one has to not look choppy and weird (colors jumping on the blade would be even weirder than hard color switching). I've been really busy as of late, so I kinda have a backlog of stuff I want to make.

Long story short, I might end up doing that. Maybe.

Ex. Have the color's eminate from the handle, moving up the sword

ah, well why not make it have the colors move, showing more then one color at a time, rather then fading. It would be Way cooler! and wouldn't need to more as slow

Yeah, it fades from one to the other. It's unnecessarily resource intensive to have it in first person (or even look at someone else holding it), but people asked for it, so I gave it to them.

Let me get this strait, it blends from one color to another, to cause a fading sort of effect? It can't really to painfully fast at transitioning can it?
