Sweet. Fair warning though. It crashes the game when you're opted in the beta. Might break again when the final update comes out. It works outside of the beta though.

Decided to revisit and fix this since there are people still trying to use it. I don't play the game much anymore, but glad people enjoy the mod. Hopefully the latest changes keep it working for a long time. If there aren't any other major updates planned, maybe I'll look into making a P3R version.

SHiO, I agree, but unfortunately there is no way to replace the shop themes in the game that I know of. Replacing the shop music files doesn't do anything, nor does changing the links in the DB file last time I tried. I'll look into if anything changed, but I doubt they are changing anything on the back-end. I had spent a while trying to get Layer Cake as the shop theme when I first made the mod.

Thank you for the Update. Is the Mod still in development? Iwai's theme for the shops and Big Bang Burger for the Food shop would be a nice addition in my opinion, because the basic soundtrack poping in is kinda annoying when im vibing to persona music

Sorry for the delay. I've had a lot going on. I repacked the addon and it's working again. I really wish the mod development was structured so that I have to repack the entire game to do a simple music replacement. This basically ensures that the mod has to be repacked every time there is an update.

The only issue I have with this mod is that the loops are too rough on all songs (except for the first level and the Collector, both of which seem to loop flawlessly). There are a few seconds of silence between the song stopping and replaying when on a level for an extended period (usually over 2 or 3 minutes, about the length of most Persona tracks), which gets a little jarring.

Dunno if that's something that can be fixed, but thanks for the mod nonetheless; the Persona 4 music especially makes Dead Cells a lot more fun to run through. Never gets old being greeted with Backside of the TV after clearing a level.

Made a quick fix to make sure the game doesn't crash. It should be good now. In a future update I'll add song replacements for the new tracks.

I'm sure that yet another update has broken it. Will look into it soon to see what's up.

It's crashing

Tried to run the mod, but I got the "null access" error"

Pushed out an update tonight to work with the new update. I tested it about 4-5 biomes in on both default and retro soundtracks and it worked fine. Let me know if you have any troubles in specific biomes so I can investigate further if there are other issues.

this is not me asking you to update the mod, maybe put that off until after christmas, y'know? Just enjoy yourself for the holidays.

I'm curious what the behavior there is when played with the regular retro soundtrack. I'm literally only replacing the sound files, so if it's using the P5 one, that means the game is looking for the music in the default folder instead of the retro folder. It may just be something they missed when adding the new soundtrack.

Tried out the new P4 soundtrack. The fight against the Hand of the King played the music from P5 instead for some reason. (Yaldabaoth)
Things to note:
-I was wearing the King outfit, which triggers an alternate scene with the Hand of the King before the fight
-I took the shortcut directly to the throne room from the Giant's boss arena
