An Update: I discovered the issue! The Jump Infantry and Mechanized Infantry seem to be based on models from this mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1101468136 which has been depreciated. However, someone has fixed and re-uploaded those models into a new mod here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3168365124 .

I've gone through and downloaded these assets from the missing links to my hard drive so that everything is working perfectly fine for me now.

If this mod is still being supported I would like to report that the Jump Infantry and Mechanized Infantry models currently have broken Steam asset links assigned to them. Hopefully this is something that can still be fixed, as I really would love to start playing BattleTech with this amazing mod soon!

I tried to lock two maps (the old ones with added height levels and trees etc.) and my hover tanks fell through "Archipelago 1".

Good afternoon, MagnusEffect. Thanks for your work on this mod. Can you tell me where I can find the Mechs in the Training Scenario at the back of the Alpha Strike book? I found one of them on a player sideline, but couldn't find the other 3. I'm sure I'm just overlooking something. Thanks for any guidance!

Is there any way to get the pre-made maps to snap to the grid so the figurines snap to the hexes on them properly?

How do you record damage on the record sheets? The pen always seems to be a bit too large.

Apologies. I'm new to the whole Tabletop Simulator scene so this may sound like a stupid statement. My buddy and I have downloaded this so we could play Alpha Strike together (which we have played one game, with a few issues, so thank you for enabling us to play Battletech so far from each other), but some of my assets won't load, some of the starter mech models on the table for example, and I keep getting a Custom Assetbundle window that pops up and even though I keep hitting Import and Update, the number of custom objects in the queue (5 to be exact) to be imported does not go down. I got frustrated and just canceled all 5 so I could explore and get familiar with what was already available, but I'd like to figure out what is wrong and how to fix it, so next time we play everything is loaded in and usable. How do I get the remaining things to import properly and load/render?

Not sure if you are aware, but there is a small list of unit models that are not loading in:

Guillotine
Stinger
Valkyrie
Wasp
Whitworth

Rapier
Sai
Shilone
Stingray
Thrush
Thunderbird
Transit
Trident

Shilone (landed)
Thunderbird (landed)

Everything else I checked seemed to be loading fine, but I'm not sure I checked every item on the board.

Yeah, models are a LOT tougher. I would need to dive into the unity engine and right now I don't have the time to learn how to do that. My recommendation would be to try to find someone who is actively making models in TTS and see if you can convince them to add those models. Might have to be a commission job.

And yeah, those Mechs are generally a lot more obscure. Since they haven't been featured in any of the video games, finding a pre-existing model will be a lot harder.

Best advice I can give is this: If you can't find someone to make them for you, just use another model that looks similar. I always thought the Pouncer sort of looked like an up-tonned Cougar. Why not just use that?

If you do manage to track down someone who can make new models, let me know; I might commission some ideas of my own.

Thanks for your fast answer. I was talking about models, maybe I should have said that. I play with real paper in front of me even when using Tabletop Simulator. I searched around and a lot of the old mech collections are out of date or use very bad models and I wasn't even able to find a BAD looking model of the Pouncer. There seems to be an ebb and flow of how much people are inversted in mods for a franchise, a lot got better, some then died out, new things grow.

@FoAiur Glad to hear it helped you! And yes, adding those should be easy. To be honest, I'm surprised they added post-3050 designs (Wraith) to the introductory box set. I guess that just shows me being old.

No matter, I can add all of those, including the Longbow. Just know that some may not have 3D models to match them.

Hi! This mod helped me so much getting into the game! Played the first game this morning in TTS and the first real life game with friends just a few hours ago and this helped a lot!

My only request would be to add the mechs that are in the Alpha Strike Box so beginners can play the 2 beginner scenarios.

Missing for the clans: Dasher, Pouncer

Missing for Inner Sphere: Wraith

As my personal favourite a Longbow would also be nice ;)

Uploaded a new version with more faction art assets and moved them out of decals and into a separate storage container (for better organization). Also fixed the issue with the battlemaps being grabbed by accident by players and messing up the play area (they are now safely stowed in the holomap planet model).

I'm also beginning the process of adding more support for the Classic BT ruleset. Still need to upload the reference tables, but I've included the bare minimum that will now let you play Classic if you want.

More to come later.

@Rupert Landry that's actually exactly something we are organzing. we haven't started yet on any serious campaign. I would like to start with some one-off scenarios and exhibition matches to help some get more familiar with the rules. I will send you a friend invite. we have been slowly shifting to mostly discord comms, but feel free to introduce yourself on our forums as well.

That's actually a pretty good idea. Unfortunately, I'm an absolute novice when it comes to editing and uploading videos on Youtube. I will keep that in mind though. Would be nice to learn how.
Maybe when I have more time I can upload a showcase and some how-to videos.

Glad I could help! I just realized I still need to add the decals for the other factions. Will try to dig those up and get them uploaded later. Everything else should be good to go.

Ah thanks! Yeah, since I wanted to make sure everything worked (ie. no broken links), I individually re-uploaded all the cards from a personal source. The selection of unit cards is intended as an "introductory" set; just enough to satisfy your average more casual game.

I appreciate your efforts! Nice work! I'm not sure if loading 2,000+ assets might affect load speeds for people with slower connections (will have to check with my buddy who has dinosaur internet), but at the very least, I can include a link to your unit cards both in the description and in the collection in-game.

Don't know if you're interested or not, but I downloaded your set and thought it was pretty sweet and enjoyable. The only thing that I found lacking was the availability of Mech Unit cards. I went ahead and built a deck of 2,127 IS and Clan mech cards into a single deck. Don't know if you wanted to add it to your collection:
