Notice, this mod is now deprecated: The base More Aggressive Personalities mod now uses this layout, use that instead. I have updated this for 3.0, but will likely not do any updates beyond this.

@Kepos Sure. All my mods are open source (a shame I can't note that on my profile somewhere). All I ask for is credit.

Hello @TechSY730, you made a great mod and I'm playing often with it. For multiplayer and centralised localisation, I have started a private merged-mod project. Included are theme related mods, so players get more variability and are able to load by one click. Now the positive demand seems growing beyond private quarters and it might be a good idea to change it into an official released mod. Therefore I'd like to ask your permission to have your mod included into the mod collection . I've sent you a friend invite and with your permission granted, I'd like to name you as co-author and probably start some co-working. Thank you!

@Angel Yes, it is compatible with Glavius AI, as he hasn't modded the personality files yet.
For whatever reason, Paradox has made it so all personalities except the genocidal ones are no longer hesitant to join a federation, and left the old values commented out, making me wonder if this is a temporary hack for a bug of some sort. I did merge that into this mod.
As it is a change I pulled in from vanilla, they would likely be just as federation happy in vanilla (barring federation evaluation breaking with overridden personalities)

Also, this mod does not affect federation. I played with it and by 2400, almost everyone was in a federation one way or another.

Is this mod compatible with glavius AI? it is finally back so i want to try it out.

Node, federation_acceptance is in sync with vanilla values. It may be another mod or it may be that overwriting personalities in a new file breaks federation logic (like it happens with living_standards and pop political power)

I may have messed up the federation willingness setting, I'll check
Ailith Mar 24, 2020 @ 1:45pm
can i change this setting ingame without a mod too? i don´t know if it is this mod or one of my cosmetic mods (flags + rooms) but nobody is building a federation anymore
Ailith Mar 23, 2020 @ 5:55am
thank you! perfect. that´s what i was looking for. i made custom civs to be in a galaxy with me and i wanted 2 of them as a threat to the rest. but they just were idle and got killed every time :-(
Angel Mar 20, 2020 @ 8:53am
Ok. Thank you!

Load order doesn't matter, as this variant of the mod doesn't have any vanilla overwrites.

The AI is still only aggressive when it thinks it has a good chance of not losing. If you significantly outpower it, it still isn't going to pick a fight with you. I didn't want to turn all aggressive personalities into "Metalheads", who go to war with reckless abandon.

Also, it is entirely possible that how the AI evaluates going to war changed some in 2.6 that I need to consider (it isn't in the personality file though; I've already merged those changes)
Angel Mar 20, 2020 @ 7:30am
What is the load order? At the bottom? I have this mod installed and i do not really see the AI being more aggressive.

There was a small update needed for 2.6. I subbed to this mod and it seems to shows up as 2.6 in the launcher. It's the Starnet version that doesn't need an update at this time.
Angel Mar 18, 2020 @ 1:01pm
it still says 2.5. But if the starnet version does not need an update, I do not think this one needs one either. I will launch the game as is.

Must have forgotten to set the version in the uploader. Try now
Angel Mar 18, 2020 @ 10:00am
The game says it is on 2.5

Yes. Perfectly save compatible. AIs will pick up the new behavior when this mod is active, and go back to vanilla when it isn't.
Angel Mar 18, 2020 @ 7:46am
save compatible?
TechSY730  [author] Jan 30, 2020 @ 11:55am
Had to make an update, so needed to update to 2.5 mod format
Crazy Old Texan Sep 16, 2019 @ 5:45pm
This is exactly what I'm looking for.
