Is this mod why i have 2 high level traders that have been following me since leaving the hub?

No amount of saves and restarts has fixed that.

I don't even think i paid for them to follow me.

Yep, seems pretty busted. Talk to them, they follow you like a mercenary with 40-50 attack/defense. Seems to hold in their own in combat really well. Regularly restocks inventory, and 20K'ish money. Then, because I grabbed this mod in a modpack and didn't know once they're following you, they're stuck 'till you bring them to an outpost (and I've only bought an in-town house this game), I can't get rid of them. Perma body guard that runs around murdering things, and preventing my stealth lol.

Gonna see if a big enough group of enemies will get rid of them, so I don't have to import just yet.

Great idea but seriously unbalanced, they should require c. to hire in the least. Ideally a market stall or something as well to be researched and placed in your settlement.

Found one in Squin, he randomly walked in my house. He looks like normal NPC (Lars the Trader)

For everyone asking how to get them to stand still.

What ive discovered in my own play throughs.
so, first u let him follow u to a desired place.
Than say "this is ur workplace etccc"
After that, pick him up and place him down again. this will make him become "aimless" aka, stand still and do nothing just waitin.

Love this mod, handy to have a shop when on the go.

Is it possible to add the feature of being able to heal and carry the trader? That would be super handy.

this mod is really great... but because of it i became a millionaire, because i hired 3 traders and i farmed the raids against my base. I simply kept selling armor and weapons non stop from the dead. The mod is great tough, works fine too. Another good thing is that the trader heals your charaters, so if you get invaded and everybody is in coma, then if the trader is FOLLOWING you then he/she will apply first aid on everybody, saving everybody's lives. This mod is a big crutch for a new player, but it is too overpowered for the experienced player, it is almost like cheating

For now, if we set up a bed and deposit the trader, he will unfollow at least a temporary solution

god please make him stop following me, he watches me sleep, my every shit....HELP ME... IM drowning in both the tears of my enemy and those who greive for me, considering im on 24/7 surveillance...I SLEEP...only, when my pants are on backwards. Pockets in the font, my last name is funt.

I cant manage to make the trader stop following me, i tested in a few different saves and everything went the same.
he follows me forever or till I get bored and kill them

Would you add functionality that allows one to specify a tax rate for trade which can cause traders to move out or attract them to your city and ask to set up shop? As well as generating income for you? Would be nice to get income from traders and use it for building maintenance costs and stuff like that.

would you be interested in making a mod where mercs/tech hunters/other hired factions come to a bar in your town once you establish it? I would love to have travelers stop by for a drink at my bar and find mercenaries waiting to be hired there just like any other bar in the world. It would add more life to the player's towns.

The fix for it was to pick them up after you told them to stay wherever you wanted them to stay. I made a nice looking shop in my base and had him sitting next to one of my merchants working a counter, so if I ever needed anything, they might have it.

For anyone having them always follow you, lock them in a building and run away, they stopped after i did that.

Oh no, stealing would cause a bug that criminal warning won't count down while trader is following! So if you hire a trader, remember there is a chance that you will never get rid of criminal warning after stealing! :bbtcat:

The trader I found is bugged and won't stop following me, and doesn't have any dialogue to make them stay put. I've reloaded my save several times and that doesn't fix it at all.

There is a bug to make money too easily and effortless. You need to fix it. Dont read anymore if you are not sure of being self-controlled enough to ignore this super op bug.

First of all hire a trader. Then go to vains while he is following. Stop near a hive village and wait for gorillas or dinosaurs that i couldnt remember their name now. Let them attack you and finally trader too. He wont win anyway. When he is unconcious pick up him and loot him. Then wait for get him up. After he woke up sell his items to himself. Repeat all above to loot his all money. His inventory will be reset after a while. İnfinite source of money or items. To be honest i was happy at the beginning. (sorri for my bed england)

Love the mod, first time kenshi player here - the trader has saved me more times than I can count. Auto medic, good stats - and auto sell loot and rotating supplys offered has made first play thru a lot easier than I expected. I started as free traders start - set off and settled in vain building up a wheat farm. I would consider making the trader require a payment to join you, or if possible make it so the trader needs to have their own house or they will leave? Love the concept, but def feels weird to just get it for free

should only be avaliable when player setups up an outpost and should cost around 20-30k cats so it's mid game avaliable. That way it won't be so op. I'm inlove with your concept and you got it down pat. It be nice if some how you can sell a house to them and in a few days it becomes populated with merch and furniture.

In this mod, the trader has all three options but does not have an option to stay and work some place.

I have to agree with Gunnerstrip7, this mod is great, but its just too easy. Doesn't feel Kenshi enough. Maybe make the trader behave like the merc squads so you have to hire them, either for so many days or permanently. They are an investment to your settlement, and should have certain monetary costs, like any real trader would demand for leaving a safe place and setting up shop in a frontier town.

Der Mod ist genau so wie es oben erklärt wird, inkl. speichern und laden. Der Händler bleibt da stehen wo er stand als man es ihm vor dem speichern gesagt hat. Nettes Mod. Vielleicht könnte man an dem Speicher und lade Vorgang noch etwas machen.

Might I suggest that you make them cost a fee? A certain amount of cats to get them to settle? Otherwise, it's easy for an early game player to grab a Trader out of the Hub or the Lone Shack and run around with someone with 36 in most stats and decent gear that can act as a portable loot vendor.

Or, alternatively, they can pick up the Trader and look them while they're over the shoulder, with no penalty.

I got this idea from noticing if you use conquest and extended hub together, 2 of the shop traders will stick around even though you own their buildings. Figure it must have something to do with the nodes still being there for the shop counter even though you own the house. Maybe even just make a faction based shop counter that spawns with trader? this way, any house can have the trader.
