The mod isn't updated for 1.6 or 1.7, and probably never will be because it's far beyond my technical capabilities to update it. It's also far beyond my technical capabilities to do most of the other things I would need or want to do for the mod, so it probably won't be continuing.

I second lung yean. Instant crash. Also all religious icons are now catholicism, for every religion in the world. I really only want the reformed aztec, norse, and inca religion. The rest could be animist or totemist for all I care.

I've been looking for a version of Sunset Invasion converted mod because I don't have CK2, but none of them have the original borders and countries you get from converting. Anyways, this one is by far the best.

So i've been playing as the Aztecs ans i have noticed some 'fully colonized' provinces dont have a city, so they are considered as colonies and get native uprisings etc.
Yavapai, Mescalero, Wichita, Kiowa, Dakota and Fox are some examples.
Also Algonquin has 'nogoods' as trade good, giving it insane amounts of production income.

Chilean blood? Awesome, haha. We are very few but we always manage to meet each other. You could add the missions "Establish X in Iberia" and give Claims on the coasts of Spain, and continue like that for England and Italy. Vanilla does that for India, Spice Islands and Machuria if you take exploration as an European Nation.

Alright, I guess I could have the Mapuche independent and stronger as a counterpoint to the Inca in the south, maybe allied to the Aztecs. I have some Chilean blood myself so I understand the sentiment. Thanks for the compliment. I would like to give the Americans some incentive to go after Europe instead of each other but I'm not exactly sure how to do that.

Oh, and about the Mapuche. Around 15% of them did become vassals of the Inca (the ones to the north of the river I mentioned). Those vassals got a lot of technological advances from the Inca, and they shared it with their brothers down south, so even in the alternate timeline, they'd have gotten gunpowder anyway.

And even if they didn't, gunpowder didn't suffice to conquer them. When the spanish came they also pulled the same trick, some became their servants and stole guns and horses. While the spanish did manage to take half of their land, they are one of the few native collectives that remained independant until the late XIX century, when the now-independant Chilean Republic conquered them using a modern army. Even today a small faction of them is fighting for indepence, burning farms every few months. If this was EU4, they would give +10xSize revolt risk to any province with a core, lol.

Yeah, heh. I'm chilean so I wanted to play as the Mapuche and cut Inca down to size. :) Nationalism aside, southamerica is pretty boring if you compare it to northamerica. Inca is kind of OP, but if their vassals are released it will spice things up a bit. If such changes are made you could also make Aztec smaller and Zapotec and Maya as big as they are in Vanilla.

Right now I'm playing Tupi and it's a lot of fun! But Aztec and Inca are busy killing each other instead of going against the Europeans. I'll let you know if I think of anything.

Oh, and AWESOME MOD! :D

@Korosuke: Thanks for the feedback.

This mod is an alternate history, and a fairly wild and wooly alternate history based on CK2's Sunset Invasion at that, so it isn't meant to be strictly historically accurate. The Americas in general and especially the Aztecs and Inca are much more advanced than in our timeline (the Inca are even supposed to have gunpowder), which could account for the ahistorical Inca domination of the Mapuche and the Mapuche rule of Patagonia.

I will, however, take your suggestions into account. The mod is about to get a big overhaul for Conquest of Paradise so it might include freeing the Mapuche or making them stronger depending on what works the best. I can certainly make Mapuche a noble republic.

Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Great mod! But I have some suggestions. The Mapuche were never a subject nation of Inca. There's several version on how the war went, but everyone agrees that a 20.000 men Inca army was stopped by 20.000 Mapuche at the Maule river. Some say they sat there for 3 days and the Inca decided to go back north and let them be, others say it was a stalemate. The spanish also took half of their land but eventually also gave up and let them be until the XIX century when the chilean government finally conquered them, so the fort defense is actually quite accurate. Also, Pehuenmapu and Tehuelmapu was Mapuche. The government was more similar to the noble republic than the others since they made elections based on physical strength during wartime. The patagonia had nomads, so I'd leave it uncolonized. If you wish, I can help you refine the mode to be more historically accurate. :)

OK, I figured out the issue. It was a mod clash. Everything is fine now, except for the unit issue. That isn't huge thoguh. Great mod by the way.

I hate to sound nitpicky, but I also found that native infantry do not level past the earliest unit type. So I'm stuck with native american spearmen in, say, the 1600s.

Also, I've noticed that Iroquois ideas do not show up. They use generic ideas. Also, every nation in South America uses Andean ideas. I mention this becasue the description makes it seem as if the Inca are supposed to have different ideas.

Hi, I noticed a couple of provinces are bugged, Turks & Caicos and Bermuda, both have a base tax of 0 and produce "nogood" which gives them 0 tax but like 30 gold in production each.

I do intend to add events and decisions for all sorts of nations as flavor as soon as I figure out how, since I feel like the thing this mod needs most that it currently lacks is flavor. I'm not sure what's up with the generic events, I'll try to look into it.

I would love to fill in the wastelands but for now it would look weird to have provinces that are so much bigger than their neighbors, and nations there would be at a disadvantage due to having fewer provinces. I have my eyes open for some mod that splits the wastelands up.
