To my knowledge there is not a mechanic in the game to prioritize consumption of food items. Either the item is restricted or not. It would be a great mechanic to have. Maybe they will put it in Kenshi 2.
I wonder, is there a priority list of which the characters chose what to eat first? if so this mod should, instead of not eating it, put bread at the bottom of the list so characters would always eat any other food before bread but if no other food is present, eat the bread.
Is that how it works? do you know how the character choses what to eat first? I would expect to sort it by food units and eat the lowest first, or desire it'd be that way
When you hover over these items in game the info window will list these races under "Only for:" .
Another odd things is "Fish" is not listed as a food item. Ya think the devs, obviously influenced by the Japanese culture and history, would have sushi in the game. LOL Maybe I'll tinker with that too.
I have been tinkering with changing the Dustwich and Meatwrap recipes to require 1/10th of a bread, equivalent to cutting the loaf into 20 slices and using two slices for each sandwich. Seems more appropriate to me.
I haven't tested it as I can't make these meals yet in my current game. I'm not sure what would happen to a loaf of bread if all of it was not used before it was removed from the Cooking Stove. Will it refresh back to 100%? Will it stay at the percentage left to reuse later? Will it disappear? I'm not sure yet.
