I'm not sure how to combine models but I can swap the current one (models/props_c17/clock01.mdl) for something else and/or change the material.

Maybe combine the models used for both Thruster and Hoverball tools as both are quite relevant...

I would love to, but I'm no good at coding Gmod lua. I haven't actually touched gmod in years.

I could look into it, do you have any suggestions on included props that would work for the repulsor?

I had to switch to the non wire version, but it seems to work fine in single player. I believe that was the version used in the multiplayer server.

I checked and I only have the wire version installed and the correct version of wiremod installed too, so that should not be an issue. I'm going to check single player, see what happens there for me.

There may be a conflict if you run both repulsor mods, the wire version throws errors if wire isn't installed and that's why there are two versions, if you have wire, run the wire version, if you don't have wire, run the vanilla version. Also I didn't create the repulsor, I just updated it from gmod 9 or 10 to gmod 13, fixed some bugs and added wire to this version.

If it helps, it was a listen server that I joined that a friend was hosting. No idea why that in particular would cause an issue. The first issue could be a conflict with another repulser mod on the workshop, there is still a weird legacy version of it hanging around.

After installing Gmod, spending two hours testing and readin up on things I still don't know why it throws an error on update, it still works (for me atleast) but it trows an error in shared.lua row 281 or something and shared.lua is 8 rows so I have no idea where the error is. In singleplayer and on listenserver repulse straight down seems to work, I have no dedicated server to test on so I can't say that it works there.

On closer inspection, only the repulse in one direction command is not working, and updating the distance with right click just makes an error.

I think an update or somthing broke this mod on servers. Can anyone else confirm? It was working not too long ago.

hey... i hate to bother you again... but a... is there anyway you can fix the tab/folder thing with the repulser? wire updated in a way that... its all kinda wierd now... take a look and see if its important enough... i dont really mind... its just a pain to find it is all... expesholy on meta construct... they have way too many other tool addons on the server...

Suddenly during the night it hit me what was wrong so now the cvar is now sbox_maxwire_repulsors and it works, I also moved it to the wire physics tab.

oh and one more thing, could you do us all a favor and put the actual tool for the wire vertion under the wire phisics tab? it would be a lot easyer to find there

Starting a server took maybe an hour, that's not the problem, finding the error in the code is the problem and I need to go to bed now, it's half past three here now. I'll have to check again tomorrow if I have time.

After two days of trying to find the error I still can't find it and since it is like 500 lines of code in total I should be able to find it.

if you have a skype i can quickly walk you through how to do it, ive been attemping to run a server for a few years now, have never been able to get the "darkrp" gamemode running corectly, but i know how to set up just a sandbox server, witch is what you need for testing anyway...

This error seems to only affect dedicated servers so I'll have to see what I can do. I've never run a dedicated source server before.

so ah, you said you'd check on that on the 9th, its been a few weeks sence then, i would really like to get this working for some of my builds... and that cant happen unless i can get it running on my server, and for that the max needs to be changed... and i cant do that untill you fix it, so please please please hurry?

I'll have to check that the next couple of days, I had to format my system drive today and I still need to install a lot of things before I can check that. (I had windows update running for 8 hours today and I'm still not done)

My brother installed this on his server on my recommendation but he can not increase the limit which currently seems to be 0. Any idea? the sbox_maxwirerepulsors didn't work.

I had probably broken in while trying to fix the dupe-bug. Duping and later loading the dupe is still broken though. If anyone knows how to make a value not get rounded when the entity is duped and saved I would really like to fix that too. The value is a bitwise mask that is saved as an integer, if that integer is rounded from 33636403 to 33636400, the meaning is totally different.

cl_init.lua and shared.lua contain no real code, the other two files are wire_repulsor.lua (http://pastebin.com/pHC4TNXq) and init.lua (http://pastebin.com/KYs4eMqw) .

I have no idea, there havn't been any changes to the code since it worked, but when I reinstalled gmod cleany (removed from steam and manually cleaned up leftover files) it stopped working for me too. The error just claims that the entity is a boolean.

When i click, the repulsor ent won't spawn.

The total difference between this repulsor and the normal one is 16 lines that are commented away in the normal one. I have managed to reproduce the error in this repulsor but not in the normal one and the repulsor.lua is identical for both, Only the init.lua is different and that is all to do with Wire Mod.
The differences are registering inputs/outputs, the trigger for the input and the trigger for the output and neither of the differences should be triggering the error.

Line 193 in repulsor.lua is "rep:SetPos( trace.HitPos - trace.HitNormal * rep:OBBMins().z)" and i have no idea why it claims rep to be a boolean value.

I'm not getting the error so I have a bit of trouble getting it to work for others.
