Hey, how do I settle tribes of my culture in non-same culture areas as tribal? it won't let me, its all just grey
bluhspizo 13. dec. 2020 kl. 18:57
I know it sounds dumb, but would you ever consider porting this to CK3, by any chance?
rat 31. okt. 2020 kl. 11:04
@malthric and are you using shattered/ random map with this mod?
malthric 31. okt. 2020 kl. 10:06
i can't find the fantasy kingdoms on the map

Hi. I'll go straight to the point. Let's say I want to add more orc models with their own clothes, armor etc. How could I do it without generating conflict with the orcs of this mod? I ask because I have tried to create a different "gfx" than those used by those warhammer greenskins and I have not been successful. I would appreciate your help with that.
azwildcats88 8. juni 2020 kl. 6:26
Seriously, the art for the Warhammer mod is absolutely next level. Kudos to their dev team for not only putting that mod together, but also coming up with original art for it.

@Mitsuki Akiyama
In all honesty, I'm just waiting for CK3 to release now and won't be sinking more work into this that isn't about a compatibility issue.
kyorinrin  [ophavsmand] 2. juni 2020 kl. 23:09
@Mitsuki Akiyama

I messaged Silfae directly on the Paradox forums before I posted it to steam (I made it for personal use). Feb 10th 2019 I asked, Feb 11 he responded, and Feb 13th he used the link I gave him to the steam workshop page and said "it looked good to him". I can send an email of screenshots if you so desire.

To help keep a division between your mod and mine I also converted all assets into static portraits instead of using your dynamic ones. For example my Elves have a bit more than 40 looks between men and women, instead of the hundreds (thousands?) of variations in your mod. The purpose of this mod is to keep an ultra small footprint and will never add any more features or races that will overlap with yours.

The entire 3rd paragraph of the Summary is about crediting both Geheimnisnacht and Silfae, is there somewhere else you would like it? Poor wording? Or anything else needing changed?

@kyorinrin

Greetings!

I'm the Community Manager for WH: Geheimnisnacht. (I was asked by our Lead Developer to handle this.)

Do you have any proof of gaining permission to use our/Silfaes portraits?

We haven't heard anything about this at all.

If you can provide proof, then there is no problem at all. (Otherwise, it's asset stealing.)

However, some things are truly unique to our mod.

Especially Silfaes portraits and those need to be edited in some way before we can condone their use.

And credit has to be given, not just to the mod team or Silfae but to both.
kyorinrin  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2020 kl. 1:31
@Raktcoon
To my knowledge there is no way of doing this with static portraits and not the ones in pieces like in stock ck2. Lame but that's how it is.

@Freedom Fighter
Honestly it's been a long time since I've tinkered with this, but I don't think I found a satisfactory way of doing so. This game wasn't really meant to have different races and a lot of the coding quirks you have to work around.

In all honesty I'm probably not going to change much until CK3 hits because dealing with their archaic code is a pain...
Ract 3. maj 2020 kl. 8:21
Couled you add options for the portrait creation so I don’t just have to do randomization
Mucc 21. apr. 2020 kl. 6:54
I like the mod but can you please change the script to actually have the same race or culture group in one realm? Its very frustrating and completely annoying when I browse trough the kingdoms or duchys and for example an orc king has 10 human vassals. The random option should pair atleast the liege culture with his vassals. orcs vassals belong to orc king. Human vassal belong to human king and so on. If you cant change it tell me please atleast how I can fix this for my own.
kyorinrin  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. 2020 kl. 21:19
Not a problem with the mod itself. Another mod comboing badly or using a custom map could make it do that though.
Petorian 24. mar. 2020 kl. 9:11
Cool mod but I noticed it says Smith a lot for dynasty names, duchies, kingdoms etc. I dunno if thats part of this mod or some other mod I have
Ragnarian 20. mar. 2020 kl. 5:50
are there any plans on addint actual options for the various races portraits, rather than the static few there are?
weedslang 22. feb. 2020 kl. 2:30
Hey kyorinrin love the mod, thank you for making it. Do you think there is any way to make it compatible with the Alternate Start Expanded mod, to control where the new cultures appear?
wilbee14 2. feb. 2020 kl. 13:27
How do i use the mod it says to check the box on cultures but where is that?
AlexiosTheSixth 26. nov. 2019 kl. 16:23
mod seems to not be downloading for me when I subscribe?
MK Black 11. nov. 2019 kl. 20:29
I appreciate your efforts to maintain compatibility. Personally I can't get over how good this mod is, it's so light that I can add it on top of just about anything and it'll work.
sailormarsfan1701 11. nov. 2019 kl. 10:26
have you thought of adding angels and unicorns? or maybe griffions
kyorinrin  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2019 kl. 8:53
My mod still works even if it's out of date. It only replaces 3 files and those weren't changed in the update. I just tested the mod on my terrible laptop and it launched fine and I was able to hop in a game.

I do plan on bringing it up to date one of these days, but the last 6 months my desktop has been in storage. Hoping that changes in the next month.

Specific retinues is something I hadn't thought of. I'll have to see if it requires editing existing files or if it's something I can add as it's own file. Part of the problem with modding CK2 is that 2 mods can't change the same file. I'm trying to keep mine as compatible as possible so people can use most any mod they might want with it.
sailormarsfan1701 1. nov. 2019 kl. 7:27
what version of crusader kings 2 does this currently work? will it b updated?
MK Black 29. okt. 2019 kl. 21:05
Fantastic mod
Zastaver 22. okt. 2019 kl. 0:16
hay any chance of adding spesific retinues to the new cultures added?
Juke™ 30. sep. 2019 kl. 8:34
Quick question since it wasnt in the faq: What ck2 version does this currently support? I tried 3.0.1.1 and it didnt work...
Alleviated Aubergine 28. sep. 2019 kl. 20:46
Any relation to Geheimischnact :steammocking:
Harlander 27. sep. 2019 kl. 15:45
If you want to use a custom map, but don't want a million Smith dynasties, a workaround that I've had some success with is to copy the contents of the common/dynasties folder from the Fantastical Kingdoms zip file into that of the custom map you're using. That seems to banish the millions of Smiths. (It might break the custom map if you want to use it without FK, I'm not sure.)
mcduke313 21. sep. 2019 kl. 17:41
One problem I have to change portraits in char creator you have to hit the randomize button other than that pretty solid.
Taurenhe 7. sep. 2019 kl. 23:15
Thanks!
Elidurden123 7. sep. 2019 kl. 19:33
Thanks for the reply.
kyorinrin  [ophavsmand] 7. sep. 2019 kl. 18:55
I gave up working on fantastical religions. Those files are so touchy I was constantly getting bugs on things that worked fine the day before. Like literally boot up without changing a thing to test and suddenly bug happens that wasn't there yesterday. After two plus weeks of being unable to make lasting progress I gave up.
kyorinrin  [ophavsmand] 7. sep. 2019 kl. 18:49
I have zero problems with it, have a blast.
Taurenhe 20. aug. 2019 kl. 10:07
I've been working on my own low-key sword-and-sorcery mod for CK2. Would it be alright for me to set this mod as a dependency so that I can use your portraits? I'd only do so if I can also get Silfae's approval.
Elidurden123 17. aug. 2019 kl. 10:52
Have you ever considered adding Fantastical Religions to this mod or a separating it to another mod?
Juke™ 17. aug. 2019 kl. 4:54
Praise the Smith
Kaixa 10. aug. 2019 kl. 23:51
So what's the go on Random Worlds now? Still not working or?
Dracarian 4. aug. 2019 kl. 15:50
I can't load the mod, or choose which cultures to have, what am I doing wrong?
Axe 24. juli 2019 kl. 11:31
@Gergenuss Interesting that you get this mod to work with a personally created map. Can you plz specify what settings you used to get it to work? Or possibly share your own map ;) Many thanks!
Chariots of the Gods 11. juli 2019 kl. 16:07
Hello, I have a question, i wanna possibly use this and make a submod for it, just wanna know if thats cool if i do?
Zagin 9. juli 2019 kl. 22:46
no skaven ?
Smol_Elf_Boi 30. juni 2019 kl. 17:05
So i found out the cause of that glitch or whatever it is, if you have the immortal events mod installed with HF DLC as well, you'll get every character gaining the Leper, Lunatic, and Possessed trait ~5 years into the game.
Smol_Elf_Boi 27. juni 2019 kl. 22:41
ill look at the game rules and see if it is something like the minor epidemics or similar stuff
kyorinrin  [ophavsmand] 25. juni 2019 kl. 17:13
Nothing I did should cause that. In my experience it's a normal part of the game depending on the game rules you use before playing.
Smol_Elf_Boi 21. juni 2019 kl. 8:53
So all of the fantasy races seem to get depression or leprossy and other deadly stuff all the time, is there a way to fix that?
RinglerDingler 18. juni 2019 kl. 14:18
I'm having trouble downloading this mod for some reason. I'm really interested especially since I recently got the Holy Fury DLC. The Mod keeps reinstalling itself in the ck2 intro menu. Is this some sort of bug from the game or something?
Saxton Fail 1. juni 2019 kl. 8:57
Could you add gnomes?
kyorinrin  [ophavsmand] 30. maj 2019 kl. 22:17
Each "race" has their own, yes.
