But the difference here with your attempted "horseshoe theory-ing" of Communism and Fascism being equally oppressive on opposite sides, is that communism has the capacity for governments to be democratic, and that's actually often what modern commies argue for. Fascism, on the other hand, has no such capacity. It's kind of definitional to fascism.

Another mod from someone who doesn't understand politics. Please learn historical and dialectical materialism. "Democracy" is not the middle ground between Communism and fascism. The "democracy" should be called "liberalism" as in liberal capitalism (Both moderate liberals and conservatives are "liberals" by the way, because they believe in liberalism, which is the system the west operates under.) Fascism is a far right-wing authoritarian branch of the capitalist economic system. Communism is a system where capitalism doesn't exist (in Marxian terms it's a stateless, classless, democratically organised society) , so the government structure can technically look like a lot of different things.

Fixed a problem with Democracy where the potential to see the 7th and 8th tenet decisions were checking to see if you took the 6th, instead of 7th and 8th.

@kazaddum Well you are complaining that the author of the mod didn't make the mod with the same worldview as you. They made the mod according to how the majority of people would describe general political ideologies in an incredibly simplified manner, instead of a theory literally theorized by Karl Marx himself. Anyways, the author literally stated that it was based on Civ 5. O was just pointing out that you were expecting people to comply to your viewpoint.

@Aress That probably isn't a problem with the mod, but rather with steam itself. Try unsubscribing, then exiting steam, (Don't just hit the x in the upper right corner, make sure to press steam in the upper left corner and then select exit.) After you reboot steam, try subscribing again. If that doesn't work, you'll have to try a manual download. There are tutorials on manual downloads for EU4 on youtube.

@Aress You'll have to be more specific. Did you try it by itself? Perhaps another mod conflicted. Also, did it crash to desktop? If you are saying it merely didn't have an effect that is because steam didn't download the mod properly. Then you'll have to download it directly.

Also, the ai will choose their ideology based upon their starting number of provinces.

Is there a way to see which ideology the AI picked? If not, are you planning on adding such feature?

I think you mean Capitalism instead of Democracy. But that would be wrong, too. As Communism is formulated as the successor of Capitalism after a process of Socialism and Fascism is Capitalism with some extra militarism and nationalism. Militarism to aquire new markets (and slaves) by force, Nationalism, to keep the usefull idiots in line. It's more of a family tree.

Communism kind of feels a bit underpowered. I'm thinking of increasing the harsh treatment reduction from 15% to 25% or maybe even 33%, and then increasing the unjustified demands reduction from 20% to maybe 30, 40, or even 50%.

the decisions arent showing up

@Deus Vult You can go into the decisions folder in the mod. The first three decisions there, "dodemocracy, dofascism and docommunism" are the decisions that represent adopting an ideology. You can change the ai_will_do factor from 1 to 0 there, (just change that number. You can ignore everything else) and that will prevent the ai from taking that decision. So if you want it to be only you can take democracy, go to godemocracy and change ai_will_do to 0.

I like the idea of the mod. Is there any plan to add an option so that only the player can have an ideology? It would be pretty fun to play as a Beacon of Democracy or a fully militaristic Fascist nation in a world full of primitives still struggling with feudalism.
