Damn I didn't expect a reply from an author!
Yeah I checked Miscellaneous multiple times, deleted the files and redownloaded the mod two times and nothing for some reason.
Anyway I loaded an earlier save and tried the heavy version.
Both variants immediately were available for crafting.
This mod might be old but this type of armor is what should've been in vanilla.

@BadKarma did you check Miscellaneous, not Armor?

I tried downloading and testing this on my high level end game character.
I have Smithing maxed out (obviously) and completed the required quests way back.
I do have a lot of stuff added and I could only find the armor in the DB Sanctuary but not able to craft it.

It really didnt make any sense why the devs made a master assassin guild look like a bunch of fools in badly modeled swimsuits.

@amhughes.1987 - crafting is unlocked after completing "With Friends Like These..." and unlocking the perk "Arcane Blacksmith." It is simply referred to as "Shrouded Mail."

I really want this, but can't figure out how to craft it. I can add the enchanted version w/ console codes, but can't figure out the name of the non enchanted version. Any one got a name? Please?

@nekitamomejal - Skyrim Special Edition is not Skyrim. Installing standard Skyrim, and then launch from steam to install, then move the new files from your Skyrim Data folder to your SSE Data folder.
This is a mod for Skyrim, not Skyrim Special Edition, so I don't know if it'll work (if not, you should crash whenever you try to start it with the .esp enabled).
If it doesn't work, I don't know what I can do for you.

@baader - it's literally the same mesh as the Ebony Mail, so check if that is looking weird

Beautiful armor but for fat people? my Skinny af elve looks really weird in in. Seems like it doesnt ''grow'' with ur body, so just recommended for fat assassins lul

There should be no crafting or enchanting in skyrim, it is utterly gamebreaking. When playing no smithing/enchanting the game can be played on every difficulty and the difficulties are actually very well balanced. Why if you craft and enchant you just go and 1-hit every single being on Legendary without breaking a sweat... its boring as hell... Point is: thank you for being one of those people that ADD the option of crafting to something that can be actually found, not MAKE another useless crafting mod.

@112JasonX - in what way? Is the armor not appearing in third person? Can you not see the armor when dropped? Is it not appearing in the console? I can help if you are specific.

@Hermleikur - this definitely shouldn't be my mod, because the only thing it does is add a chest piece. The cowl is unaffected.

@Harmleikur - this sounds like it isn't my mod. Not saying it definitely isn't (because that's the gambit with mods), but it sounds like something you equipped became a quest item, and that's why you can't remove it.
I would try reinstalling the mod to do a clean save (google it), and seeing if you can load a save from before you installed this mod and try it again. PM me if this is still an issue, but this is the only suggestion I can give without having your files. If it ain't my mod anyway, there's nothing I can help you with.

I have a big problem. Can't remove it. The cowl is still there and I can't equip any helmet. I tried to remove mod, delete it from data folder but it's still there. Don't know what I can do remove it (console comand does not work)

If you specifically want these models for it, it's a relatively quick thing to do in the CK (PM me if you need help), that I can no longer do myself because my computer can no longer run it.

PLEASE add an ancient version of this. I stopped using the mod after I got the ancient armor, simply because I have an obsessive need to use the best version of any armor.

Your armor is excellent. Have you considered a version along the lines of the thieves guild armor. I always thought that armor was more "authentic".

it's not letting my craft it. I have the quest done and got the perk, I don't have any other mods with it.

@j.dawg - Firstly, check that you have filled the requirements listed above. Also, other crafting mods (especially ones that edit dark brotherhood, leather, or fill the crafting menu with loads of stuff) may override or push this one out of view. Otherwise, delete the mod and then redownload. If it still isn't working after all of those, send me a message and I'll try to debug with you.

I freakin love this armour, but the crafting isn't working for me either, not sure why but i thought i'd let you know

@Ares:god of War - try unsubscribing, delete the mod, save without the mod, then resubscribe. If not, I don't know what's causing it.

why not make mail boots and gloves and a hood that falls under heavy i wear mine with a mages hood and it looks awsome with it and a shrouded hood looks good to

@ ev3rlastin - the standard version is placed on a barrel in the Sanctuary, so you can loot it if you decide to destroy the Brotherhood.
Naturally, you are kept from crafting it or the unenchanted versions if you sought the brotherhood's destruction, as the knowkedge has now been lost to the Void.
