I'm gonna say to be wary of this mod. You get weapon proficiency on every odd level, so, by the time you reach level 33, you won't be able to read the left side of the screen. Honestly, if one were to update this mode, re-balancing that would be needed. I feel like every 5 levels would be better. It gets silly.

Just completed the game solo with this mod and was very grateful for it. I hit the cap of 33 right before the end and it was truly a blast. Thanks for indulging my need for leveling lol :clenchedfist:

Shouldn't do any harm, this mod would just be redundant. I made two versions of this mod though, the one that class project added which changes a couple of things about level progression, and this "purist" one which keeps the same level progression rate as the base game. If you disabled this mod, depending on where it is in your mod order, you might see that the number of ability/spell points you have available in fights might change slightly. Other than that, you can keep this mod or lose it with no problems either way

@2house2fly Ohh I am already quite far in my playthrough with these mods enabled, will it do harm?
2house2fly  [author] Jun 15, 2022 @ 7:31am
It looks like that mod already includes this one, so you wouldn't need to install this. If you're multiclassing this mod will allow you to hit rows 8 and 9 eventually
GrimoireODS Jun 14, 2022 @ 6:52pm
Also can I use 8 and 9 row abilities at some point?
GrimoireODS Jun 14, 2022 @ 5:54pm
Is this compatible with "The New Class Project"
specopsbarton Dec 7, 2021 @ 2:36pm
I put your mod before that one and it's working fine. I hope this helps others, if they will have problems like me.
2house2fly  [author] Dec 5, 2021 @ 6:56am
That mod and this one aren't really compatible, as they edit the same parts of the game files. I'd recommend using one or the other, but you could also try swapping them around in the in-game mod manager and see if that helps
specopsbarton Dec 4, 2021 @ 12:46pm
Hello I tried to play your mod with "Single & Multiclass progression fixes" but your mod causes that "Single & Multiclass progression fixes" mod not working correctly - after I level up I don't have access to my 8 and 9 abilities, my hero is level 19 multiclass. Please help.
2house2fly  [author] Oct 3, 2021 @ 6:02pm
It does come with multiclass level 8 and 9, much later than single class so there is at least still some opportunity cost to multiclassing though admittedly not much. You might want to check out Deadly Deadfire on nexusmods, it slows down xp gain so you still get the trickle of experience throughout but won't outlevel the content
Granat Oct 3, 2021 @ 5:55am
Hello author, does it come with multiclass level 8&9 abilities or is this as pure as it gets? That is, nothing else besides experience? (I surely hope it's the latter!)
theGregKhan Aug 24, 2021 @ 9:46am
thanks for this!
2house2fly  [author] Jul 29, 2021 @ 2:47pm
Oh speaking of which: @john.wallace81 the -25xp from Deadly Deadfire means you'd hit level 20 by the end of the game, so if you use Deadly Deadfire you'd want to remove that xp modifier- I think just deleting the file named "experience" from the mod folder would do it
2house2fly  [author] Jul 29, 2021 @ 2:45pm
This mod doesn't affect level scaling at all; enemies go up or down by a few levels and can technically go higher than 20 (eg if an enemy starts at level 18 it can go up to like level 22) but there aren't that many enemies in the game who are that high level. I'm thinking of uploading a version of this with level scaling; you could also download Deadly Deadfire off the nexus and remove the xp gain modifier to keep things challenging
Camilo.tsenuki Jul 29, 2021 @ 8:49am
What happens with upscsling in this mod? Do enemies have higher levels compared to my level or always referred to the cap level (lvl 30?)?
Camilo.tsenuki Jul 22, 2021 @ 12:37pm
Thanks for the reply 2house2fly! I wish I’d known about this mod prior to recruiting Aloth. I would have made him a battlemage due to the extra levels. Guess I’ll have to increase the labor abilities!
Jonny Boy Jul 21, 2021 @ 11:09pm
Hey guys im using this mod and deadly deadfire which gives -25% exp penalty. Has anyone used these two mods before and if you have where you able to get your mulitclass characters being able to use the highest level abilities and spells? And how far into the game if you could? thanks
2house2fly  [author] Jul 18, 2021 @ 10:20am
No effect at all on achievements, from this or any other mod as far as I know. I think the only thing that can ever disable achievements is hitting the ~ key and typing "iroll20s" in the text window, as that enables in-game cheats like god mode.

This mod isn't retroactive I'm afraid, so you'll start gaining xp again as soon as it's installed but any xp you got since hitting level 20 won't be counted
Camilo.tsenuki Jul 18, 2021 @ 2:00am

Hi 2house2fly! This mod looks awesome as I’m already at 20 and not close to she game end. Does it affect or disable Steam achievements? Or do I get tagged as cheater or something? I'm a newbie when it comed to modding.
Also, if I've won XP after reaching level 20, will that be counted for the levels or is that XP lost (retroactive XP).
Thanks for the reply.
Acanthaceae Jun 18, 2021 @ 3:17pm
Awesome, thank you!
2house2fly  [author] Jun 18, 2021 @ 2:48pm
From having a quick look at that mod's files, there won't be any conflict to worry about
Acanthaceae Jun 18, 2021 @ 9:11am
Does this mod change any class progression files? I'd like to play with the Delemgan Spiritshift mod, and it mentions that there could be a problem.
Estellus Mar 8, 2021 @ 12:28am
Ah-hah! That makes me feel better, thanks.
2house2fly  [author] Mar 7, 2021 @ 11:37am
Sorry, I think I miscounted- it's been a while. I believe 21 should be the last level where you're at PL7, and you'd be PL8 starting at 22, PL9 starting at level 25
Estellus Mar 7, 2021 @ 9:55am
Hmm. It must not be working for me for some reason then, because I have Aloth cross-classed Rogue/Wizard and at 21 he wasn't able to take any level 8 spells or get the ones from his grimoire.
2house2fly  [author] Mar 7, 2021 @ 9:32am
Yes! Multiclass characters unlock a new power level every 3 character levels, so you get power level 8 at level 21 and power level 9 at level 24. Note: if you do everything in the game+DLC you'll get up to level 27 by the end
Estellus Mar 4, 2021 @ 11:56pm
Presumably this unlocks PL8 and 9 abilities for multiclass characters a few levels after 20?
AsianGirlLover Jan 9, 2021 @ 12:12pm
Your mod makes progression so much more fun. Thank you!
Irondark30 Jul 16, 2020 @ 12:00am
Awesome, Thanks!
Ramble May 22, 2020 @ 6:19am
Thank you! However, I fixed the problem by installing another mod of yours!:steamhappy:
2house2fly  [author] May 16, 2020 @ 4:54pm
It'll work just fine, but if you've done a lot of stuff since reaching level 20 that xp won't be applied retroactively- you'll only get xp from after you installed the mod
Ramble May 15, 2020 @ 6:49am
If my character is already 20, this mod won't work?
darthcuda Nov 23, 2019 @ 1:22am
Installing now you have made my end game more enjoyable. I love leveling.
2house2fly  [author] Nov 22, 2019 @ 7:14pm
@PRPE7UAL: Enemies scaling isn't changed from the base game; I think there's a mod or two out there that beef them up more. This mod is purely for the "numbers going up" feel

@darthcuda: You can install this mod midgame and it'll take effect right away, though if you already hit the level cap it won't retroactively add any XP you earned since then- it'll start counting xp again from when you install the mod
darthcuda Nov 19, 2019 @ 6:57pm
Can I activate this mod nid game or do I have to restart? I was really bothered when I capped out in POE 1 and still had some dlc and main story missions to go. This would give me the continued feeling of progression.
PRPE7UAL Nov 16, 2019 @ 11:34am
Do the enemies also level up to 33 using scaling?
nemich85 Oct 17, 2019 @ 12:14pm
Thanks for answer)
2house2fly  [author] Oct 16, 2019 @ 7:09pm
Yes to both! Purist version keeps all progression before level 20 the same as it was, and then progression past 20 goes in the same pattern (same number of levels between weapon proficiencies, power level gains etc)
nemich85 Oct 15, 2019 @ 9:07am
Hi! Does this mod function with 5.0 version of game?

Does purist version unlock level 8 an 9 abilities for multiclass person like a main version?
Wardaddy Jun 27, 2019 @ 8:58pm
So I'm not sure if it's simply because I installed this after, but my characters don't seem able to get anymore XP. Not sure if this is just because I need to start a new game with this on but I'd appreciate it if someone could let me know as I'm trying to use the DLCs to boost my level beyond 20
Blazor26 Apr 30, 2019 @ 5:09pm
Thank You for the Answer :RPGTycoon:
2house2fly  [author] Apr 30, 2019 @ 5:01pm
The other one rebalances level progression a bit- single class characters gain power levels a bit faster, multiclasses a bit slower, weapon proficiency gain rate was altered, one or two other changes, pretty much because for me to use when I played with the mod. Someone said they liked the higher level cap but didn't like the other changes, so I made this one that JUST raises the level cap. The weapon proficiency and power level gain rates are all based on the rates already in the game. Nice and clean!
Blazor26 Apr 30, 2019 @ 2:14pm
What does "This is a more conservative version of my other mod" mean? I had other one and switched to this one, but i'm not understanding what the difference between the two are? Is "LEVEL CAP 33: PURIST VERSION" the better one to be used? Also will this one disable Steam Achievements? Thanks for your hard work BTW :HappyMask::100percent::lunar2019coolpig:

ty
Haybusa Apr 24, 2019 @ 6:34pm
@thornelemental It just adjusts the player level cap, the other version adjusted the weapon proficiency's per level. It's just a more clean version, it does exactly what it says.
thornelemental Apr 24, 2019 @ 5:23pm
what does a more conservative version means? how is it different from the main your original one?
View The Phenom Apr 7, 2019 @ 8:23am
Will enemies still scale with this mod?
Furry Wrecking Crew Mar 31, 2019 @ 6:17pm
@2house2fly Ah, so I should install it right before I hit the cap. Thanks!
2house2fly  [author] Mar 31, 2019 @ 6:06pm
Vigi react: it works with a game in progress but isn't retroactive. If you hit max level and do some quests then install this mod, the xp from those quests won't be added to your total but all future xp will

Riflepoet: It does unlock level 8 and 9, though I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the lock pictures in the UI. Iirc you'll get power level 8 at level 22 and 9 at level 25- though you'll only hit those levels if you have all the DLC and are very thorough!
