I just have a couple of question. Is the super pixilated borders in the screenshot from this mod or another performance mod (reading the description, I think it is but I just want to be sure), and does this work with 3.8?

Sephylon: You can play on it by now. Game wont mind unless you're on multiplayer. once i update it, game should do its thing. you dont have to worry about it,

darkbob_evilpants Oct 12, 2022 @ 12:26pm
will this work with mods like realspace or ones that change galaxy textures?

Small update: Renamed to Stellaris Performance Mod - Galaxy Tweak
Also moved some files from SPM to this. (As it affects the galaxy anyways and not the paticles which are handled by the main mod.)

Updated: Changes;
Moved/tweaked: Nebula_Color, Nebula DDS, Galaxy_Color and Galaxy center dds textures from the main SPM to this.

Also redone them from 3.4 version of the game so theyre up to date texture files but adjusted to give more fps as well as make the galaxy center more darker.

Maybe you could have made Nebula's exempt. They are already hard to spot as it is.

I tried your other mod and only this one is not Ironman/Achivement compatible unfortunately. Can you do something about it?

Does this work with 3.0?

your mods have been a lifesaver! I can now run stellaris with a whole list of different mods, so thanks!

Should work fine for 2.7. regardless of the red mark of the launcher.

@Rocket Grunt: I think I know the cause, it's probably because of the define text file, maybe on earlier version stellaris allow it to modify and allow mp but now it maybe not, I cant do anything about it, galaxy tweaks are located on it, sry.

Maybe 2.6 considers some files more relevant now and therefor marks it as modified? It really annoys me, without your mod most of my multiplayer games are spent zoomed in all the way in a system for performance reasons. :steamfacepalm:

It still works completely fine in singleplayer games, but I can't join or host servers for people without the mod. Maybe somebody else could confirm? Could still be an issue of corrupt files on my end for all I know.
Red-Eyed_Gelynome  [author] Mar 27, 2020 @ 2:30pm
Rocket Grunt: hmm weird, I didnt update any files because 2.6 didnt change any of them, I just updated the version numbers tho.
ゴースト Mar 27, 2020 @ 4:15am
The recent version seems to change the md5 checksum of the game. I can't play ironman or multiplayer with it enabled, the other performance mods (normal, dds texture tweak) work fine.

Updated to 2.6

Good mod. Changes my average FPS from around 8 to 10, making the game semi-playable if I constantly have the camera aimed at the skybox outside the galaxy.
Red-Eyed_Gelynome  [author] Jun 6, 2019 @ 1:33pm
@Everyone: Should still work fine with 2.3 update. My only concern is the DDS version. That will work but it still havent cover yet the new dlc.

disables ironman
