The answer to my question is no. Now to find another Azura's Star and The Black Star crafting mod.

So does this mod mean I can do the Azura quest for the Azura's Star and I'd be able to craft the Black Azura's Star too?

Do you have to have Daedric Smithing perk?

Now if I could get Black Star replicas to act as soul-trapping throwing stars, that would be awesome icing on the cake!

Thx for creating a lore-friendly mod that acts as an expansion to the game rather than mindlessly breaking it /cheating as some other mods do. Your work is appreciated.

I can't get the Black star replicas because I helped Azura. Make it possible to make both star replicas, until then getting the Azura's Star is a lot more useless(Nelacar sells black soul gems)

why dont we just use console commamnds to get more of them instead

And I'm sorry if I have misunderstood the purpose of the mod.

@Flounce I'm sorry if I have offended you in any way, that was not my intention. I'm only curious, because I'm in doubt about what the cause of the mod was. If I have been unfair, please accept my apology, I wish not to whine.

I bet I could argue against the point of most Mods you use... Use it if you want, don't if you don't. Ask me if I give a damn...

I was making unenchanted copies of ALL the Artifacts. The only reason this is separate is because I wasn't sure I could get it to work properly.
Getting the right recipe showing for the number of full and empty Soul Gems you're carrying, without any others being available was... Interesting.
So, primarily, this was me testing how snazzy I could be with condition codes. I was happy with how it turned out so I uploaded.

Also, I try to be as 'lore-friendly' as possible. I.e. You need something to copy to even have a chance of creating something so powerful. And since you will have never seen a working version of the Black Star if you help Azura out I don't know how you could make your own.

Copying is easy, innovating is hard.

Whining about Mods you don't like is easy.
Opening the CK and trying things out yourself is... Well, easy.

I don't see the purpose of this mod... Since you can just fill up the gem after use, its kinda useless. ofc you wouldn't have to walk as much, if you had two of them, but I'm not that lazy. However if you came to be able to make a black replica, even thought you finish the quest about the white start, That would be helpfull :)

I love this mod! It's almost necessary when training enchanting...

I haven't tried this mod out yet, but if it does what the description says then it's awesome. I'm currently playing a pure magic character who dabbles extensivly in both smithing and enchanting. I see no reason at all that my character couldn't create a replica of azura's star if he has the original to examine. After all, he is pretty much the best blacksmith/enchanter/mage in all of Skyrim (and prehaps Tamerial). In my mind this mod is lore friendly. Although it would be a bit of odd if some orc barbarian with virtually no magical talent started crafting these things up.. I guess it's at the discretion of the player. Thanks for making this.

In what way was any of that helpful?
Kendrick_Yes  [author] Apr 29, 2012 @ 1:32am
@Aria
... If you don't use it what the hell are you doing here?

Also, 198. HA!
Kendrick_Yes  [author] Apr 28, 2012 @ 9:52am
@Aria. So don't use it...

Ok, now assume you aren't all powerful...
If you had just staggered out of that stuffy cave under Helgen and Hadvar* offered you an infinite soul gem what would your response be?

I bet it wouldn't be "Nah, I don't want that... I won't need it one day."

*Or Ralof... If you're determined to be wrong.

Good! That's what should happen.
I'll edit the description to make that clearer.

Hmm, I completed the quest getting the Black Star. It seems to affect what this mod does - I only see the Black Star Replica in the Daedric section of the forge (no Azura's Star Replica).

The Star quest needed another option: Let Malyn Varen be sane and continue to live in his black star - repaired! After all, the wizard went to Great Lengths to create a black star, and move into it. He should be allowed to continue to live in it, and it should have it's own little virtual star village in it (including the first student he added into the star, happily immortal!). Any soul sucked into it should be a spirit version of the person / creature deposited into that village. It would make more sense for the player to take an interest in having Malyn Varen teach the player how to make a 'portable house star' he could port into and out of, deposit loot into it, take a nap in the middle of a cave, etc. It's annoying how the player is constantly asked to kill or destroy the hard work of so many other NPCs!
