wow so this mod finally died...the hair is broke and they are all bald now T-T
TheMinxLynx  [author] May 13, 2022 @ 11:33am
@G7Strix, if you create an empire using the portraits, you can then add it to the pool or force it to always spawn.
SG7 May 13, 2022 @ 11:28am
Anyone know for sure how to enable these for randomized Empires so they can show up as AI?
TheMinxLynx  [author] Mar 4, 2022 @ 10:37pm
I mean, that's what I consider "discontinued" to mean, even if it's technically been discontinued for so long already.
Azi_Dahaka12th Mar 4, 2022 @ 9:52pm
so its not so much discontinued as it is simply no new updates?
TheMinxLynx  [author] Mar 4, 2022 @ 6:59pm
Understandable, and thank you for that! In that case, don't worry, because this mod isn't going anywhere and it shouldn't break any time soon. It's made it over two years without an update just fine. c:
Azi_Dahaka12th Mar 4, 2022 @ 11:34am
i did, just dont like the path you took with em, i prefer this one, credit were credit is due, i like the changes to the blue humanoid
TheMinxLynx  [author] Mar 4, 2022 @ 11:31am
Not gone to the wind! Honestly nothing should be broken, but please see the description, as they've been reworked and compiled into a new, actively-maintained project. Please check it out.
Azi_Dahaka12th Mar 4, 2022 @ 10:00am
this a sad day, one of my longest used mods...gone ..into the wind...
TheMinxLynx  [author] May 3, 2021 @ 11:57am
Nothing has changed with regards to portraits.
The Mind Castle May 2, 2021 @ 2:25pm
Does it work with latest version?
TheMinxLynx  [author] Apr 16, 2021 @ 12:18pm
There's nothing in the files that dictates the availability of the portraits. If you're having issues with custom empires, it's likely due to an issue caused by another mod or a vanilla oversight, sorry.
Presitator For Life | Sig Apr 16, 2021 @ 2:32am
Seems that when I create a custom Ascellian Empire, they don't appear. Instead, some seemingly randomized version of the Ascellians show up.
MnCnNn Oct 25, 2020 @ 10:55am
If wardrobe malfunctions are good enough for Janet Jackson, then they are good enough for Ascellians! :P
von_das Sep 22, 2020 @ 6:08am
Should work fine for 2.7?
MechaShadowV2 Jun 15, 2020 @ 11:54pm
Oh ok, well, it's been some time since I've had them, so maybe its already resolved, ty. I'll let you know.
TheMinxLynx  [author] Jun 14, 2020 @ 8:47am
Wasn't intending for there to be any, but wardrobe malfunctions do happen. I'll try to give them a second pass sometime and correct any problems.
MechaShadowV2 Jun 13, 2020 @ 11:47pm
There doesn't happen to be a version that gets rid of the exposed nipples is there?
Jeff1cksxX May 27, 2020 @ 4:24pm
Killer Queen ? [x2]

Killer Queen ?
TheMinxLynx  [author] Apr 13, 2020 @ 1:59pm
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad that you enjoy the mod. <3
Instant Caulk Apr 12, 2020 @ 11:13am
Love this! so well Done thank you!
TheMinxLynx  [author] Nov 22, 2019 @ 10:41pm
I'm pleased to announce that, thanks to contributions by neXITem and Patrick-From-Germany, this mod now has FULL German localization support, to include the Ascellian namelist. I also believe I've adapted to the new launcher and overcome the obstacles inherent therein.

Enjoy, everyone! And as always, please don't hesitate to report here if you come across any issues.
TRON Oct 19, 2019 @ 12:16am
Okay THX then see you soon.:steamhappy:
TheMinxLynx  [author] Oct 18, 2019 @ 11:49pm
@Patrick-From-Germany, hello! Yes, I'm still around, I just haven't given much love to Stellaris recently. I've been meaning to remake the mod from the ground up, and at that point I'll probably discontinue this version, but until then I plan to keep this up-to-date. Things shouldn't break outright unless they rework the tile system again, but if you notice any issues before I do, please feel free to mention it here, as I receive all notifications. Thanks!
TRON Oct 18, 2019 @ 8:27pm
Hey, I really like your mod. Are you still active, are you still doing an update ??

LG FROM GERMANY !
TheMinxLynx  [author] Jul 1, 2019 @ 2:32pm
@Koma, go for it. I only ask that you also credit Evgeny Tumanis ( https://www.artstation.com/stygian ) from whom the original artwork is sourced, even if all you do is link back here to the original mod so that the information is readily accessible.
Askil Jun 30, 2019 @ 7:55am
Hi, would it be possible to use your work on Animated portraits ? My purpose is to create a mod that combine all animated portraits that modders have done. Of course you will be credited. Have a great day.
TheMinxLynx  [author] Jun 22, 2019 @ 9:09pm
@Matt Tested at 2.3 past release and didn't have issues. Should be good to go!
Mathew_01 Jun 22, 2019 @ 8:23pm
Any news if this works in 2.3+ ?
tmonahan23 Mar 23, 2019 @ 12:25am
cool thanks
TheMinxLynx  [author] Mar 22, 2019 @ 10:37pm
@tmonahan23 I think Paradox fixed it on their end. They'd said that they would and I never made a work-around, and as far as I could see from my testing yesterday, everything's peachy.

Enjoy, everyone!
tmonahan23 Mar 22, 2019 @ 12:48pm
Does this need a mod for new species upkeep? I remember in the past 2.2 tht there was an issue with adding new species? Did paradox ever fix that
Shade Mar 22, 2019 @ 10:53am
You must have fixed it. All is good on my end. Thank you. My psionic space mafia lives again. > : 3
TheMinxLynx  [author] Mar 22, 2019 @ 7:01am
@Shade We're all updated and good to go. I was unable to replicate the issue you were having, but it's possible I fixed it somewhere along the line in my working copy and forgot.

The species has been flagged as "archetype biological" since Paradox introduced machine empires, and my recent testing has also confirmed that the pop is no longer immune to hunger (through no doing of my own), as one of the 2.x updates had broken. Please check to ensure you don't have any mods conflicting with trait selection and let me know if the problem persists, and I'll look into it further.
Shade Mar 21, 2019 @ 1:59pm
Nice. Ive been using these with a crime syndicate megacorperation of psionic matriarchs. With the mods im running, psionics gives Mind Disruption Fields ascension perk, to cause an enemy empire you rival to get huge debuffs, combined with the +crime/unrest buildings the crime syndicate can force on enemy worlds, and the sow unrest/rebellion mod. Its been interesting watching empires fold in on themselves. XD So im excited to use them again.
TheMinxLynx  [author] Mar 21, 2019 @ 8:24am
I'll try to look at it later today. I think I read about that and it should be an easy enough fix. When 2.2.6 rolls out with the outfit capabilities, I hope to have everything fixed and ready to roll out!
Shade Mar 21, 2019 @ 3:15am
-excitement intensifies. So,apparently, with the update released yesterday, this race catagory is not a biological, synthetic, or robot species and has no traits it can select. Update senpai?:x
TheMinxLynx  [author] Mar 1, 2019 @ 11:55am
@wojtek704 I was waiting for that! That's great news, thanks for bringing it to my attention. No promises, but I haven't forgotten and hopefully I'll look at this and sort it all out soon. Thanks everyone for the continued interest. c:

iti s a ...Killer Queen? jojo?
nephilimnexus Dec 14, 2018 @ 10:45pm
Yay they're back!
TheMinxLynx  [author] Dec 14, 2018 @ 2:44pm
I did a bit of reading myself, mostly in the Elves of Stellaris discussion, and my understanding of the issue is it's a simple problem of the developers wording a script as listing all organic species types where they could've just listed "not non-organic." If that's the case it's theoretically an easy fix, but supposedly the developers have also promised a patch of their own sometime before Christmas. In that case I think it's probably better to just let them resolve the issue on their end. Just enjoy being a bit OP in the meantime I guess? c:
eldiabs Dec 14, 2018 @ 2:07pm
I think I remember someone applying a fix for that on some custom races. I don't use it, but the fix might be useful for applying to this mod?

@WILSON

I think he is referring to this.
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/pop-upkeep-custom-species.1134311/#post-24955663

In short, custom species don't seem to use any upkeep apart from job upkeep.
just tested it on the testbuild (checksum: 555a) and the issue appears as expected.
TheMinxLynx  [author] Dec 14, 2018 @ 11:26am
@gerardx17, I'm not sure which issue you're refering to. I didn't have time to progress my own save very far, but as far as I could tell everything seemed to be working as it should. There shouldn't be anything to distinguish this custom race from the default races in how the game will handle it, but if you run into any troubles, please post here and I'll troubleshoot as best I can.
Lemon Soul Dec 14, 2018 @ 11:20am
Is the upkeep issue that makes custom races useless in Le Guin fixed?
