most likely not.
Zhukov Jul 17, 2021 @ 10:07am
Does this mod still work in the newest version? Thanks
Doomwarrior  [author] Mar 2, 2021 @ 5:47am
Check if they are slaves or forbidden by the empire policies or species rights. Cause moving pops up is usually the easiest thing to do
Dr.Nagi Mar 1, 2021 @ 6:00am
I would love a mod that does the exact opposite: Promotes pops from a lower stratum to a higher one. I have tons of workers but almost no specialists on some of my planets and it's really annoying.

This uses an old version of 00_social_classes.txt
You should re-modify the newer version.
Torres Aug 8, 2020 @ 2:19pm
doesn't seem to be working for me, still stuck at 2600+ days
Kepos Aug 4, 2020 @ 11:41am
Eriduan packed your mod into his GEC Ironman collection but I doubt it will allow achievements. Can you confirm about Ironman and/or Achiement support?
Eriduan Jun 14, 2020 @ 6:55am
GREAT .. THX
Kaptain Kappa Apr 20, 2020 @ 4:25pm
yay!
Doomwarrior  [author] Apr 20, 2020 @ 2:52pm
alright i do understand the mechanics much better now. Ill get to it this week and have a look on how to do it.
Kaptain Kappa Apr 20, 2020 @ 9:54am
please either update the mod or tell us how to do this manually, the game is completely unplayable without it
Doomwarrior  [author] Mar 20, 2020 @ 3:00am
i am thinking on how to do this, in the mean time if you really hate to wait for your guys play with "shared burden" civic. It reduces the demotion to 180 days in my case and it gets instantly with the harmony tradition that reduces another 50%
Doomwarrior  [author] Jan 28, 2020 @ 7:43am
Are you talking about my Gamebalance aka weaponsbalance fix? My gut feeling tells me its not fixed, it got a bit more "less shitty" but i havent run the numbers in a while, so cannot tell for sure. My original mod is for "before 2.0" so, no it is not.
Yaddah Jan 28, 2020 @ 2:00am
Haven't played this game in about 2 years, but back then I greatly enjoyed your weapon rebalance mod. Is that mod still needed, or did the devs finally fix research so that it actually pays off? Also is your original rebalance mod still working with the current patch?
MightyShark Dec 22, 2019 @ 12:07pm
Great thanks.
Doomwarrior  [author] Dec 22, 2019 @ 5:45am
im removing it today, so no changes, it was a test. Sorry for the fuzz.
MightyShark Dec 22, 2019 @ 1:28am
Can you tell me what you modify in the 00_defines.txt file please ? Its so I can add it to other mods that modify the same file.
Doomwarrior  [author] Oct 27, 2019 @ 4:00am
Soo, based on 2.5.x files now. Please test if it works better now. In theory it should.
Doomwarrior  [author] Oct 27, 2019 @ 3:52am
i do not have the new dlc yet, might have to redo based on new files and hope it does no longer mess it up.
SirTopNotch Oct 26, 2019 @ 10:05pm
Might be worth you knowing this mod seems to cause Lithoids to keep using food rather than minerals
Doomwarrior  [author] Oct 12, 2019 @ 2:19am
Updated to newest 2.4.1 version, threw away all old stuff replaced by new files and did changes on them. Should work fine in 2.4.1 now
Doomwarrior  [author] Oct 5, 2019 @ 6:13am
Seems i have to take another look at it for the new updates.
HOld the DOoR! Oct 4, 2019 @ 1:10pm
Yo, rulers still take 1800 days to demote
摸鱼王 Jul 30, 2019 @ 4:34am
this mod is super super useful! it's ridiculous to spend 10 years finding a new job:steammocking:
DuckLord Jun 24, 2019 @ 8:18am
You are my god.
Azure Jun 21, 2019 @ 6:23pm
holy fucking shit thank you
Doomwarrior  [author] Jun 18, 2019 @ 11:05pm
In stellaris you can become a scientist instantly ;-)
RED-Life Jun 18, 2019 @ 7:03pm
I wish I could also learn to code in 2 months.
diademic111 Jun 16, 2019 @ 12:00pm
thank god for this mod
Doomwarrior  [author] Jun 8, 2019 @ 1:48pm
Updated to 2.3.1
Doomwarrior  [author] Jun 7, 2019 @ 2:01am
Yes :) it should most likely work without update too.
BarbarianJoe21 Jun 6, 2019 @ 8:55pm
Is this getting updated?
void1267 Mar 11, 2019 @ 1:22am
ask paradox to make a dlc they will make it in one day for sure.
Corvin Ceasar Dec 18, 2018 @ 12:28am
because seriously, who could possibly afford to be unemployed for 5-10 years and still claim to be part of upper or middle class??? :goldbars:
Doomwarrior  [author] Dec 16, 2018 @ 11:28am
Thats a bit problematic if mods use the same function one of them gets overwritten
[The] Force Dec 15, 2018 @ 6:21pm
I just had a weird wondering if you could make this into a decision so it works no matter what. Hmmmm.
Doomwarrior  [author] Dec 15, 2018 @ 4:20am
totally been there :) thats why i made the mod in the first place
[The] Force Dec 14, 2018 @ 5:32pm
Np, I needed it desperately, fucking 6 unemployed specialist pops with food negative and 20 fucking empty agrarian jobs -_-
Doomwarrior  [author] Dec 13, 2018 @ 7:38pm
Thanks for finding out :)
[The] Force Dec 13, 2018 @ 4:34pm
Found it, so just a heads up, I dunno if it matters to most but "Gwens Additional Play Styles" has a file called GAPS__Pop_Category.txt which includes demotion times leaving them at default so this mod does nothing if you have that installed.
[The] Force Dec 13, 2018 @ 4:17pm
Neeeeeeevermind, found it. Now I just need to figure out which ones also change that...
[The] Force Dec 13, 2018 @ 4:04pm
What file does this change if any? It doesn't seem to be working in my game, guessing I've got a conflict somewhere
Doomwarrior  [author] Dec 10, 2018 @ 4:12pm
Another quick balance mod: Galactic market ressource exploit fix

For all of you who dont like easy cheeeeze in a multiplayer game with money cheats
Complete Casual Dec 10, 2018 @ 1:55pm
lol ty for this fix :) Its kinda dumb how long they will wait, like I get it your pissy about not being high class, but you want food right?
Hueban Dec 8, 2018 @ 3:57am
they really should make it so that it takes maybe a couple of months but gives a negative happiness modifier instead
Doomwarrior  [author] Dec 8, 2018 @ 12:48am
My thoughts exactly :-)
Deadlyman89 Dec 7, 2018 @ 6:54pm
Oh my God thank you for this, the fact that pops were willing to remain unemployed for years instead of stepping down was incredible to me. They must have bills to pay, and my empire doesn't even have social welfare.
