Just dropping a message that it's working great. The faction I forbid to confederate in MCT aren't doing it in-game anymore.
Don't forget to save your settings, after you've configured the mod in MCT.

no, that behavior can't be changed. it only changes settings within a "race" (ie. dwarfs, vc, empire, etc)

So just for clarification, does this mod allow you to confederate two factions that normally wouldn't be possible? (Example as VC -> Confed empire factions or dwarf factions, etc?)

not working , i start a new game and use bretonia and the greenskin keep confed other greenskin, btw i use radious mod too dont know if that effect the mod or not

@sirmicou85 @Mark K Marcell I have seen this problem now for empire, greenskins and dwarves in coop with a friend, this was never an issue before. In short, this clearly needs fixing / updating.

Does the mod finally work when you activate it during a campaign already started ? Because for me it doesn't seem to work : the Empire confederated one of his sub factions. I have to activate the mod before to start a new campaign then ? Or Maybe it's because Empire has its own confederation system, like greenskins and norsca ?

FYI that this mod is causing my game to crash. I might have lived with the occasional crashes, but unfortunately it didn't work for me either. I'm playing the High Elves and wanted to be able to confederate the 3 HE factions that I don't get that option for, but unfornately even with this mod, (and selected to tweak them to allow it), I still don't get that option.

Oh well, it was worth a shot.

in my Thorek Ironbrow ME campaign the no confederations options was working for all races... except greenskins too. Result is Grimgor Ironhide is so OP, having confederated with all other greenskin factions, and is pwning everyone.

It is actually making for a really great war between me and him though.

Good news and bad news :) Finished Beastmen, Lizardmen, Wood Elves and Greenskins campaigns, not a single confederation. Now I started a Moors campaign and a Yvrese campagin, in both the Greenskins ARE confederating though.

Thanks for the quick answer, though I'm not quite sure if I understand it completely. Does this mean that you can't confed other subcultures? So the Empire won't be able to civilise the simps of the west? How unfortunate.

You just listed them, Kislev is a subculture, Bretonnia is a subculture, Empire is a subculture. Can't confed outside of that distinction

But what counts as a race? Humans in general? So, could the Empire confederate the Southern Kingdoms, Kislev, Bretonnia, etc?

Free Confederation removes all restrictions on confederations for a race, so that would become available, yep!

Does this allow confederation of factions where it is normally impossible? IE, Empire factions can normally only confederate through their Electoral Count fealty mechanic, with no way to confederate with other "empire" factions like Marienburg and the Southern Kingdoms.

- Removed old stuff for Wood Elves
- Fixed issue with Bretonnia's stuff
- Potentially fixed some stuff with Norsca/Greenskins notoriously confederating even when you don't want them to. Probably will still occasionally happen (:

No - only singleplayer. There are maybe 3 possibilities on my radar, this one, instant quest items and the Empire reloaded. Don't know nearly enough about modding to work it out though (the weird DB structure of the game annoys me)

Are you playing multiplayer? I've gotten intermittent reports, that I just haven't been able to confirm, that MCT causes random issues in MP and occasionally script breaks, that's one of the systems I hear
