demazure, I tip my hat to you. I have spent hours on this map with my crew trying to pick apart your enigma. This is quite the feat

Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the More- government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died. Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other profiles on this one site, and she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes u will have the best of your life ok lol

To everyone asking for a day version, there is an older version from the GMod 12 days, however the creator of this map did release VMF files for the daytime version of this map, known as gm_excess_island_13, unless I'm wrong and it was released and it's just so obscure that it's not on any search engine.

The tv room stopped working even after a server restart it wouldnt turn on

So does anyone know what the password is? I can't be bothered to try to jump through wire tutorials, especially not when the developer changed the password so that the tutorial won't work.

For some odd reason, whenever I open GMod after installing the map, the sky is gone, I see what, wireboxes(?), and errors too. I keep uninstalling and reinstalling the map, but it just keeps happening. How do I get rid of this problem forever?

I've wanted to ask questions concerning mapping on this level and style for quite a while, is there any way we could get in contact?

I still think an explanation or walk through would be in order. I've been working on this on and off for years. It always ends with no progress being made. Also, I believe someone dove into the code a long time ago and found the block has no use and someone else was able to break into the portal using wire.

-_- no amount of myst games could have prepared me for key_5. I hope to one day figure it out.

It HAS been a long time... but just think about how much more rewarding it will be now when you finally figure it out!

how many years has it been? Any chance we could get even a hint as to wtf the blocks do in excess maps? I think everybodys essentially given up on it, and there's no info online about it.

@demazure! I was playing the ur day map years ago,i dont know if was your so or someones else,but you should copyright the bastard!And if you have a another version of this map just rename it,all your gm_ maps are near perfection of this game!

if you do still have a compiled version it would be really appriciated if you can upload it even under a different name. the old map just doesnt compare with the new bigger improved one

I didn't want two different maps with the same name because then you'd get conflicts if your version doesn't match the server's. I guess I could have put it up under a different name, but it's really just too much confusion for only a slightly improved version of the map. Doesn't much matter now anyway, I don't think I have a compiled version of it anymore.

what do you mean pollute? this is a near perfect map. the only thing it needs is a brighter day version

I actually made a day version of this but some guy uploaded my old version to workshop and won't take it down. I didn't want to pollute workshop with a 2nd version of the map, so it never got released.

i'll admit. this is better than the day version. wish we could get a day version of this one
