Are there still plans? Still didn't play the game, waiting for this map.

I have a revival of my popular Golden Horseshoe map that I've been playing on, but want to make changes before I make it public. But yeah, the Great Lakes region is awesome geography for this game!

Appreciate it! It'd be nice having a "local" map in TF2 but no rush, quality is a huge plus :P

Strong chance of it coming to TF2... however there is a higher demand for work in a map before it can release, compared to TpF. So I just need to find some time in between working on Valiant Effort.

Any chance of this map ported to TF2?

Map fails to load :( "Height Map Too Large, Number Of Pixels Must Not Exceed 16M"

It crashes my game everytime when i try to load it a damn shame..

I started to "fill" them in myself, but ran out of stamina :)

Still trying to find time to revise the landscape to eliminate those 'lake holes'! Just busy teaching a new semester at college and starting up a whole new game project. But I plan to revisit this in the near future.

is there any way you could post of map of your north and south great lakes maps combined. I know that would be obsolutely massive but i love the play style that comes with these more realisticly sized maps. Love the work you're doing if ever want to some mountains take a look at the east tennessee mountains.

I've been playing through and working on an update to remove some of the ponds and depressions. Revised heightmap coming soon.

The holes are lakes in real life, but the heightmap was adjusted so they became just depressions in the terrain instead of rendering water everywhere.

Why are there so many "holes" all over the place.

I chose to split them into two maps to attain a scale to include smaller towns that are vital to the economy's supply chain but would otherwise disappear when including the full region. I want to portray the vast land and water they encompass; if they were scaled down too far the player may not feel that sense.

Looks like an interesting map. Looking at this as a European, I''m cusrious why you chose to split the Great Lakes into two maps.
