They got the flag of the New Romulus Republic instead of the star empire

Very cool mod here!
Is there a way to edit the species' ship design without making a second "custom" version in game? There's a great ship mod to add along with this awesome mod.

Pon farr? Someone hasn't seen Picard. Narek bangs that Soji girl regularly. Practically knocks the bottom out nightly.

can this be updated to work on the updated version of the game.
holton1995 Jun 7, 2019 @ 7:54am
is this automatically added to the game or do i need to manually add it?

Solitary just need too much explaining to make it feel fitting, it could in a way, just dont want to go that route for me. I wanted to say this as i made a example reason earlier about why it could work.
Enlonwhite Dec 10, 2018 @ 11:15pm
PWB, is that the ship name type? I actually dont know wow totall forgot about that. what did i put down?....
Enlonwhite Dec 10, 2018 @ 11:14pm
ok, i like the difference, even if i disagree on solitary, or adaptive traits, still this does have a Romulan feel too it. Nice job.
aaronfranke  [author] Dec 10, 2018 @ 10:27pm
Note how I lined up each trait so that it appears to replace a related Vulcan trait.

@Elonwhite I just finished updating all of my empires for Stellaris 2.2, including much of the feedback you've given. Let me know what you think of it now. I know you have your own version that you prefer, but I'm also much more satisfied with this mod after discussing it with you.
Enlonwhite Dec 9, 2018 @ 11:18am
2.2 has changed alot now, most of the same stuff still fit, but now a few others are changed and fit parts too, example is Distinguished Admiralty is more worthwhile while also making it feel more militaristicly useful/focused. So now i am actually torn on what to pick for a third civic in game for them alot more. Cutthroat Politics and Civic Service are still #1 to me but dam this new update was good for most stuff. still a few things need buffing/changes (mostly some Acension perks) but I am feeling the change is so far for the better. (conformist still needs a point cost reduced to one!)

@Elonwhite Perhaps you're right about not being nomadic and adaptable and doing so out of necessity, but still, if Romulans were originally from a desert planet, then it would make sense that they would have high habitability for them.

Unfortunately, there's no trait that that increases desert habitability while not increasing arctic habitability. So I think I'll remove Nomadic but keep Adaptive.

Totally agree about Cutthroat Politics civic. Also agree about Physics (disruptors and cloaks etc)

I interpreted their world as Tropical, it's very green and blue in the shows, but I could be wrong here. I think I'll keep it as Tropical. Even if it is more Continental in shape, it is definitely very Tropical in color.

Just adding my opinions here, but thanks to you I feel my changes to my Vulcans, and Romulans is more accurate. So thank you for the point of view.
Enlonwhite Dec 4, 2018 @ 5:39pm
There world was more Continental in my opinion, but thats my own thoughts based on what info i could gather on it.
Oligarchic authority was well placed again for them too.
as for positive traits I find based on there tech from my point of view Physics more the thing they utilitize then Engineering. Supporting examples cloaking, phasing type thing, Disruptors, and such all that tech focus points more to Physics in the game then any other. So now that i see your build thats what I realized fits better, as such I have changed them.
Conformist is the other as they all seem to want there government etho to stay.
(again that trait should NOT cost 2 pts) Sedentary fits well for a negative.
As for other Negatives, I could see Quarrelsome but only cause of all the infighting for control.
Slow breeders could be agrued due to the vulcan background Orgin, but Pon Farr has yet to be proven to affect them. Solitary makes sense again due to infighting of there culture.
Enlonwhite Dec 4, 2018 @ 5:29pm
Citizen Service, is totally a Great Civic that fits them perfectly.
Despite their Military focus tho, I dont find Distinguished Admiralty a thing to focus on, but it is not a bad idea.
But their politics are very CUT THROAT.....Punny?
So Cutthroat Politics is what i went with as a Main civic. not the Distinguished admiralty.
tho if i where to play as them thats one i might add as my third in game with the tech that allows a third. Then again Police State also fits the bill really well too.
Enlonwhite Dec 4, 2018 @ 5:24pm
As for adaptive, no......they adapted out of need, not as a natural thing they possess as a species.
-Sedentary makes more sense as they prefer from what i have seen staying in a place of power or control and hates the idea of leaving that.
-They conform to there belief of superiority of themselves so Conformists makes sense (shouldnt be cost of 2 pts tho, stupid update to that.)
-They are Xenophobe, and Military focused for sure.
-I like the Authoritarian attitude but they are anti religous in my understanding as they remove telepathic people of their race in a purge like way sadly. So I was more inclined to make them Materialist but may change that now. (as Authoriatarian makes more sense)

The divergence between Romulans and Vulcans meant a major social, economic and psychological schism and transformation of their two groups. There is sufficient time for major transformative events to create two very different societies even given their similar species of origin.
As such Pon Farr, has not been confirmed or denied by such thing as it is possible the emotional suppression of the Vulcans may have caused, or increased such thing as Pon Farr.
The romulans are NOT Nomadic, yes they traveled, but only out of need not natural instinct or desire. totally disagree with Nomadic.
