however, I love the mod outside of the crashes, I love old cars and I love the quality of the textures and models... I just don't like the quality of my desktop after a hardcore crash....

well, if i'm using them as scenery for a scenario, that can be kinda hard sometimes, couldn't you just disable the textures abilities to receive decals...

Uhh... I've encountered a slight problem with this mod, if I shoot the model, there is a possiblity the decals on the vehicle will crash my game, it causes the skybox to freak out too...

You can actually put the glass into the colourable vehicles without worrying about the glass being coloured. You can disable colour proxies outright by adding a few lines to the glass .VMT, or any other .VMT that doesn't need a colour effect on it.
