@Kendo353: Brilliant, well done, that's a lot of work, time and effort you put in. Thank you.

@tancread: thankyou. hope you have fun with them.

This is Amazing! Thank you so much for making this, I only normally get to play at Conventions!
Kendo353  [author] Jun 26, 2020 @ 7:10pm
@lawdog1700: yes. the object (whatever it is...a figure...a bag... a box) will be saved to your chest for future use. If the Zulus are not with the other tribes folk (bottom right of table), you can grab them from the "tribes of africa" mod (link is above). or the "zulu wars" mod.
lawdog1700 Jun 26, 2020 @ 5:37pm
So, I can do that using "Save Object", correct? Where are the native Zulu troops?
Kendo353  [author] Jun 26, 2020 @ 5:09pm
@lawdog1700: hiya, load up this mod, select the figures you want to play with. save their boxes to your chest. they're then available wherever you want. just load them back in (from your chest). or pop them all in a bag. and save that. people get enjoyment from making their own game tables, but should you not wish to do that, browse the TTS workshop and there are a bazillion generic "wargames tables" you could use. if you do want to make your own table, again, there are lots of scenic components (hills, tiles, trees, buildings, etc..) available on the workshop. hth.
lawdog1700 Jun 26, 2020 @ 4:50pm
Ok, so I think I'm causing the confusion due to my lack of knowledge. I don't know how to set up a table in the program. Or, do I set up a table in the "generic" room and then copy the figures/cards and move them into the alternate room?
Kendo353  [author] Jun 26, 2020 @ 5:06am
@lawdog1700: hiya. sorry, i don't understand? you use the figures in exactly the same way you would if they were physical figures on your tabletop. each box has a full squad, and the info card for the unit.
lawdog1700 Jun 25, 2020 @ 7:26pm
So, I love this game. I have the rules and everything. Here's my question...how would I use these figures and aids to actually play a game?
Kendo353  [author] May 7, 2020 @ 12:30pm
@Furt: appreciate the comment, thankyou. glad they're useful.
Furt May 6, 2020 @ 11:01pm
New to TTS but not new to historical gaming. Pleasantly surprised by the extent of your fine work.

@YourAdvertisementHere: too kind. "enthusiastic amateur" (and happy with that).

AWESOMENESS!!! Many thanks!

@bandrsntch: they're my favourite rules too. feels good that people still play them. all the figs are animated and working in unity now, so i don't have the time to swing by here very much. but thanks for the suggestions, i'll add some next time there's an update. boxer and tibetan stuff is possible too. (conversions from M&B and MOW mods)..real pleasure to meet someone who met Mr. Brom and his daughter. thanks for the feedback, hope you have fun with them.
bandrsntch May 20, 2019 @ 8:16pm
Top notch stuff. Thanks for making these available to play TSATF, maybe my favorite set of Wargame rules. Actually got to meet Mr. Brom a long time ago and was able to contribute to the last Scenario Booklet published by hi s daughter Lori. I did the maps in it.
Maybe someday some Boxer Rebellion stuff??? If you get around to it, The Pathans need some figures with just melee weapons to fit with his recommended Army organization for Pathans.

Hey, really fascinated by this workshop piece you've made. I'm new to any type of wargame like this so bear with me if this is a silly question, but where might I find the full rule set that goes along with this set of pieces?
Kendo353  [author] Mar 2, 2019 @ 6:05am
new figs: Bengal Sikhs & Dismounted Schutztruppen :)
Kendo353  [author] Feb 17, 2019 @ 8:04pm
hi folks. now the natives have their own mod, i'll be removing them from this table to free up some real estate for more european figures. you can find them all here --->

@jwhittley: Happy Birthday! i have a converter that will do menofwar figures to .obj easily. look forward to chatting to you. cheers..
jwhittley Feb 14, 2019 @ 7:13am
I really love your work and llike you I love minatures (army men all my life... Today on valentines day is my 68 year birthday) I was a Captain in the army and have spent 8 years working on my own models in MEN OF WAR over 600 of them. I can export all of those and from them you can have what you want. I have for example sioux indians 7th cav moros zulus dervish mexican army alamo texans aztecs and conquistadors over 200 spacemen. Anyway they are available to you. So how do I
friend you? oh I have Legos also I did all my work in Milkshape. Let me know how to proceed. Thanks.
Kendo353  [author] Feb 14, 2019 @ 5:55am
@jwhittley: hello mate. friend me, and i'll explain what i can (i do it for the the joy/love, and don't want paying). no guarantees, but i may be able to shine a light into some corners for you. cheers.
jwhittley Feb 13, 2019 @ 8:43pm
Hey I'm interested in some of the workshop models that are military I need someone to show me how to export a model to my desktop as a .obj file. I've looked at alot of tutorials but I haven't been able to get one model to my desktop so I can edit it. I'll pay

@Cyrano: thanks for that, it's nice to see people using them. and it makes TTS look great for tabletop wargaming. no worries.. General Gordon is on the list, but i'm out of spare time at the moment. thanks for the encouragement. its motivating to know that stuff will get played with.
Cyrano Jan 20, 2019 @ 11:01am
In case you wonder if your toys ever get used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Om6Yx3ePkB0

Thanks for all the work.

Now please make a General Gordon figure :D.

@Baryonyx: cheers Bary. not everybody's favourite period, but i love this game. and consider it the finest set of rules ever written. the model textures are genuine Dervish, Berber and Pathan fabrics. which makes me happy inside. thanks to you, Gernot, madmark56 and tecknokrat for the encouragement. the new update, offering massive table size is tempting to stick around for. but i think this is probably it for me. i'll smooth out the rough edges, and wander off for a while. have fun.
Baryonyx Nov 7, 2018 @ 10:14am
Very high quality! Front page definitely deserved.
MadMark56 Nov 6, 2018 @ 7:20pm
Thanks for the mules and bactrian camel! Can't have too many baggage animals!
Kendo353  [author] Nov 5, 2018 @ 5:52pm
@MadMark56: cheers. hope that sudan cavalry was what you were after. it was hard finding any actual regiments, so i went with 2nd brigade, like on the cig card. i've started putting stuff into boxes because the loading time was getting horrendous. and there are still plenty of figures to come. ruga-ruga.
MadMark56 Nov 5, 2018 @ 5:39pm
The new cavalry is just beauiful...right down to their spikey little helmets! Great Job! Love the Kendo Toy storage boxes( #353 indeed!), fine work Ken!:ttrhat:
Kendo353  [author] Nov 1, 2018 @ 6:57pm
@Cyrano: i share your enthusiasm. it's been a real pleasure to make and play this. i'm glad there is at least one other person on the internet that 'gets it', so i hope you have a lot of fun with it. if there is anything in particular you'd like to see added, let me know, and i'll try and give it a go.
Cyrano Nov 1, 2018 @ 6:08pm
One of my most beloved games. Wonderful that you've done this!
Kendo353  [author] Nov 1, 2018 @ 2:59pm
the 'corbel' font is pretty much identical to the one used in the rulebook, so i've updated the reference sheets for improved legibility (and reduced their size for increased performance).
Kendo353  [author] Oct 31, 2018 @ 10:02pm
@MadMark56: Moustaches and Monobrows.
MadMark56 Oct 31, 2018 @ 9:26pm
Very nice Ken, I love the new figures and the S&F cards and rules pages.:greatwarstar:
