omg installing this mod so pain in the ass
Deworld 27. feb. 2018 kl. 7:38
Good idea, but these passives is too OP.
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 2. dec. 2017 kl. 16:03
If it has files in that conflict it will. You're better off trying it and seeing if it works. For the most part, the mods that won't work with it are mods that interract with the skill tree pages.
Gulp DragonDawn 7. mar. 2017 kl. 9:11
compatable with diablo III UI?
WOLFLORD 13. okt. 2016 kl. 23:14
Any idea how to get the extra skill points retroactively for a charecter already in the mod saves?
Gulp DragonDawn 6. aug. 2016 kl. 8:01
Anyone please let me know if any progress of this is made and I will set up a combined form for everyone.
Gulp DragonDawn 6. aug. 2016 kl. 7:59
To combine classy classes with this skill I think I have an idea. They should work, but they don't. The only connection. Skill Trees! Possibly there is either a file preventing both skill trees from interacting properly (Solution: Modification of file) or a file needs to be created to tell the game through GUTS compilation that "these 13 skills should show" (4 classes * 3 skill trees per class + 1 general passive tree) (Solution: Create that file). I don't know how myself. I can combine mods and tweak out bugs by reordering compilation, but nothing this complicated.
Fluttershy413 5. aug. 2016 kl. 17:22
I'm trying to do the steps above for a custom class, but I'm having issues I can't seem to find anyone else having. first, I'm not completely sure what you mean by "combine" the mod folders. do you mean into a compressed (zip) file, or into a normal folder under mods?

second, I have no files labelled players or skills. the files I have under runic games > torchlight 2 are, in order, guts, logs, mods, modsave, save, and some non folder files. third, I dont know where to find the UI editor.
an ordinary human bean 19. feb. 2016 kl. 8:10
I attempted to combine your mod wit classy classes: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=309222335

Gulp DragonDawn 11. nov. 2015 kl. 17:37
can someone make this mod compatable with Core ModPack by CoreWolf? This seems to be in high demand + it will be useful in my own mod "Core ModPack Modified" (completly playable with upcoming additional mods including this one).
Crasyhead 23. sep. 2015 kl. 13:24
Allright, thx for the info, guess i can try it out if i make a new charactor then :)
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 23. sep. 2015 kl. 9:24
@Crasyhead: My understanding is that it would not give you points based on your existing level, only levels gained after the fact would give the extra skill points. I'm not sure if a respec potion would fix that issue or not.
Crasyhead 23. sep. 2015 kl. 7:10
Hello :) i was wondering if this mod only gives you the extra skill points for lvls earned with it on? and not any lvls earned allready with a charactor moved from normal game to mod game?
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 25. aug. 2015 kl. 6:27
@AlphaRage: Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately I never learned much with GUTS so I really don't know how to fix that. Sorry!
Corehowl 25. aug. 2015 kl. 1:29
I've included your General Passives mod in my modpack . I give full credit . Thanks for your fine work!
AlphaRage 10. aug. 2015 kl. 22:20
This mod interferes with the Berserker's passive 'Rampage'. Once Rampage is activated the run speed bonus from the passive skill is lost untul level up or changing the area.
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 4. juli 2015 kl. 15:46
@Draco1122: Thanks for all the work! I updated my description and linked to both your's and EB64's workshop pages.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=474394382 Making General Passive for Custom Class pack Additional Classes. Thx Quelex Your instructions were great of course you mod too..
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 6. mar. 2015 kl. 13:28
@Creep Face McGraw: Agreed. It would certainly get me back into GUTS if they announced major fixes. There's just too little clarity and too many things that do not work the way they should.
Creep Face McGraw 6. mar. 2015 kl. 13:09
@Quelex Well thats GUTS for you. I don't know how anyone makes anything complex without tearing their hair out, I gave up on it pretty quick.
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 6. mar. 2015 kl. 12:52
@Creep Face McGraw: That was actually planned as one originally. The problem was that no matter how many points you put into the passive, the effect never actually gave the bonus to the pet. I never figured out the issue for why it wouldn't work so I just ended up putting defensive bonus in instead.
Creep Face McGraw 5. mar. 2015 kl. 14:09
I wish this had a pet and minion passive.
EB64 22. feb. 2015 kl. 2:42
Steam files were, apparently, goofed or I did something dumb. Figured it out by downloading your original files linked in your description. lol
EB64 20. feb. 2015 kl. 20:28
Here's a link to my file: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=396174898
Again, let me know if there's anything broken and I'll do my best to fix it if I can.
EB64 20. feb. 2015 kl. 20:14
Ah! I misread some things and didn't quite understand hat I was doing.
I think I may have gotten it.
I'll publish it in a bit and link it here so you gys can test it out for yourselves.
Definitely let me know if anything isn't working right or whatever, of course! I'll do my best to help fix it, if needed.
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 20. feb. 2015 kl. 18:34
@EB64 are you sure you've set the tab to the UI editor? If you have the editor still on Layout editor (which I think is the default) it gives that error.
EB64 20. feb. 2015 kl. 8:33
I've been trying to make this work for the current version of Synergies on the Workshop.
I've hit a problem on step 5, though.
No matter what layout I try to open in the layout tab, I get the error "Layout 'filepath goes here' is invalid for this scene."
Am I in the wrong tab to do this step?
What am I missing?
This happens with both the default classes as well as the Synergies classes...
So close to finishing this, but yet so far away when I cannot figure this out...
overclocked Mousepad 17. okt. 2014 kl. 9:34
Could you add support for Synergies Mod please??
KenLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 6. okt. 2014 kl. 1:33
COOL
Revenio 27. juni 2014 kl. 10:08
I used this mod with Tiered Passives without any issues. I think General Passives was higher up on my mod order.
Mitfox 21. apr. 2014 kl. 19:27
I cannot use this mod with Synergies (on multiplayer). I have to put General Passives above Synergies on the loading order for it to work at all which is all fine and good, but whenever I play on multiplayer of any kind, whether it be LAN or multiplayer online, my game will crash when another player loads/teleports onto a map I am playing on. Sometimes my character will rollback a level when this crash occurs.

It is a real bummer because this is such a great mod for Synergies with the original four classes. Please help me find a way to resolve this issue
k3ryuss 8. apr. 2014 kl. 5:44
buenisimo! asi mucho mas interesante al juego, claro esta, desde mi punto de vista!
eso si , el juego ya solito, sin agregarle nada es un juegazo.
Insert Name Here 14. jan. 2014 kl. 10:43
any way to make this work with far east mod?
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 8. jan. 2014 kl. 19:54
@ChaosRonin: I doubt it will work without having to use GUTS to combine them assuming his mod changes the skilltreelayout files. I don't have the free time to do that, but that author or anyone else can feel free to use my files to do whatever.

@Da: I would have to assume another mod is interfering somehow. Have you tried it with only this enabled?
Mech 8. jan. 2014 kl. 6:32
I tried to use this mod with the embermage but does not give me the names of the skills and key skills to add points does nothing
ChaosRonin 6. jan. 2014 kl. 2:10
Is it possible to get this and Tired Passives to work?
Hot Tuna 31. dec. 2013 kl. 0:36
Has anyone applied this to the classes in far east? I am hopeless when it comes to using guts.
Dutch Demon 21. dec. 2013 kl. 1:23
tryed it aswell
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 12. dec. 2013 kl. 13:25
@Dutch Demon: I would recommend downloading the original files assuming the link in the description still works.
Dutch Demon 11. dec. 2013 kl. 18:57
wel i can't even open the files downloaded ui editor says the file is corrupted says it with all my modds so can't open it or change it..
Cpt Squeegee 9. dec. 2013 kl. 16:52
Thank you! I love passive skills and this mod is amazing!
Pancident 7. okt. 2013 kl. 21:01
Thanks, I'll try that out.
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 7. okt. 2013 kl. 17:30
Check the custom character class (Data Editors -> Units -> Players and then open the Skill tab) and look at the Life Bonus for example. From left to right it will read: Life Bonus, Skill Enabled (Should be checked), Cast Odds: 1, Chance: 40, Cancel Chance: 0, Level: 0 (This is where it needs to be changed from -1 to 0).

If you can click the button but not skill name pops up in the tab, it might also be that the Widget Name somehow got messed up in the transition. Open up the UI editor and open the skilltreelayout for that class and then look for the SkillPane4. Click Life Bonus and on the right side on Properties -> Data -> Widget Name it needs to read: Life Bonus

Hope that helps.
Pancident 6. okt. 2013 kl. 14:44
I love your mod, but am having a problem getting the passives to work with custom classes. I can get the tab to show, but none of the skill names are showing in the tab. I think I may be doing step 2 wrong.
Quelex  [ophavsmand] 28. sep. 2013 kl. 9:03
If it doesn't work with that mod I wouldn't be surprised. It more than likely changes the skilltreelayout files (when you look at your skill tree window its not just the default and can invest in new skills or the way it looks is different) so it shouldn't work.

It would be impossible for me to work on my current Torchlight II mod project while continuously updating different versions that work with different community mods while working 60+ hours a week. :(
Altaria 27. sep. 2013 kl. 17:49
does this work with the world mod?
Filianor 9. sep. 2013 kl. 11:34
Hey, would some friendly community member help me setting this up for a custom race? I have problems doing so :(
