not sure how most programs make the effect, but I do know that it one of them, that's why Game and Watch in Smash looks the way he does. Honestly I don't know much about how to do that stuff in the source engine anyway, it was just an idea really, like I said, they're not bad models otherwise.

um...i,ve looked at the lewis model, and the pinkish lines are actually an extra lair of meshes that are flipped from the inside.

It's a way to give 3D models more of a cartoon or drawn look. Think Dragon Ball Fighterz. Actually the Lewis model uses it, only making the black lines glow pinkish color.

Actually not too bad, hands look a little weird, but otherwise just fine. Probably only thing I'd recommend trying is some kind of cel shading, might help.

Good lord are those things hideous. Not an insult to your modelling, it's just that some things aren't meant to exist in three dimensions.
