Import save but can't see Ticket Crafting station in building nor in research. Does this mod even work?:steamthumbsdown:

this mod used to work fine for me but all of a sudden doesn't anymore

my guys wont pick up the changed ticket, they go to the first post then just stand there

same as 'Mahzarin' in the comments below so it's not just me

tried importing, tried changing production speed, nothing seems to make it work

sometimes rebuilding the post will make it work once or twice then they will randomly stop picking up the changed ticket again and stop

sucks, i loved this mod :steamsad:

@Lord Lurk No problem man. I used to mod Fallout 4 in the past so I know how easy it can be to miss these things that won't necessarily turn up when testing :steamsad:

I actually found something else after my last comment though. The run animation attached to the functionalities was causing my guys to sort of...slide between the waypoints when they reached a high athletics skill. No leg movement, just their arms swinging, it was pretty hilarious to look at lol.
I think it might be some kind of bug from a character being told by different sources to do animations on the same body part at the same time (even if they're the same animation), or at least within very quick succession, causing a sort of...cancel out effect maybe? I've seen the same thing happen when miners were left with fast forward on.

Anyway I just removed the run animation from them as a quick fix, but it does make them do that "working" animation in its place. Seems to have stopped the desert ice skating though.

@Lord Lurk... as a stand alone mod, I find the research straightforward. Your mod is so good that I can't play without it. :) As part of the mod pack it has a requisite research called "guards" which I haven't been able to find. Wouldn't make sense that it wasn't available until the next tech level. Well, hopefully it will show up somewhere. Need to train athletics and strength w/o micro'ing.

@Rob - I did not consider this to be something to even consider during my testing from making the mod, but I will admit that I did stop playing around the time I finished this mod, so I never really had a chance to run into this issue. I'll try to look into it in the following week or two to push an update to address this for the future, thanks for the feedback and the suggestion!

@Dosboy - I unfortunately cannot speak of any 'modpacks' and as to what they may have tweaked, as I didn't even know my mod was part of Crovvv's collection whether due to me forgetting or what have you.

I've been contacted a few times about the research requirement causing some confusion, and I plan to just remove the requirement for it entirely when I make the above mentioned tweak as it was mainly something I wanted for myself in the end. Hopefully within the next week or two when I get some time to sit down and re-download everything and work on it. If Crovvv's collection just pulls straight from my mod, then this will update for the modpack as well.

@Rob, sorry I didn't see your reply. Glad you got it working. I see the mod is included in the "Age of blood and sand" mod overhaul. I have the required tech 2 to research it, but it says I need "guards" research which I can't find anywhere in the research list nor in any included mods. I'm hoping someone here may have the answer. Unfortunately, the modpack is a few years old and not much discussion there. I really need this for my training.

I couldn't get it working at first. It felt like the tickets were being produced much too quickly for my game to actually keep up, with the patrol seizing to a halt at the first or second waypoint. I looked at the building functionalities in the fcs and saw that the production multipliers were set to 8, and changed them to 2. After that I had no problems with my patrols :D So if anyone is having the same issue that might fix it for them.

Great mod btw this game really needs this kind of thing.

Pepster look at the numbers on the tickets in the waypoint ticket crafting and decide how many stops you want your patrol to have, lets say you want 2 stops on your patrol for example so you click queue and craft a 2 way ticket. after crafting your 2 way ticket you go into the build menu and place down one 2 way A>B post or mat at your first patrol stop and then place another B>A post or mat at your second stop. After they are placed down and you are out of your build menu you have to have to make sure the character you want to patrol has a 2 way ticket in their inventory, after doing all that you hold shift and hold right click on the A>B post and click the inventory button and after that, hold shift and hold right click again and click the use button, do the same jobs for the second post and your character should automatically start patrolling between the 2 posts.

It's best to just assign one person to the waypoint setup, and have everyone else follow that other person. Even if the original person walks/runs faster, the others will eventually catch up with their athletics to some degree so they'll even out eventually.

I found an issue where somehow both ticket slots get full/overloaded and everyone stops. You can fix it just by removing one of the tickets, seems to happen when you got too many people using one waypoint system.

Sounds like a pathing issue, which is pretty common with the game as it's not the best when it comes to pathfinding. Move the posts around a bit, rebuild the navmesh, or very last import the save to try and fix it.

Thanks for the reply! I tried removing the mod and reinstalling it and then loading it as the only mod. Created a new game and the only build options I have are "Buildings", "Camping", Farming", "Lights", Mining and Tech. None of these have the option to make a ticket bench. I am so used to using this awesome mod for training my people's athletics and strength..Am I correct in that there is no research required? Any other ideas?

Something is overriding it or the mod is not loading properly. Try to load the mod by itself then add other mods and keep testing until it breaks, whatever breaks it is the culprit.

Two things you can attempt -
1) - Unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod so it removes and re-downloads a fresh file.

2) - Move it to the bottom of the mod loading list so it overrides everything else, but may potentially break the mod that may be conflicting with it.

I can't play without this mod.. can you think of any reason why the crafting station is no longer appearing in the crafting menu? My last game of Genesis (about 7 months ago) it was there...???

It's been a while since I've messed with the modding tools, but I wanna say that isn't possible, only fixed times.

On top of that, IF it was possible, I'd have to make 2 versions of the patrol points for those who would want such a thing and those who would want it the way it is now, which atm I am not really keen to attempt as way too busy with work and such, sorry.

Great mod.
One possible improvement could be a random time spent standing on the waypoint (let's say between 10 to 30 seconds) in order to give more reality... but I am not sure if it is simple or not

Early-ish game I avoid clicking around for two hours. Mid-late game it's a fire and forget strength/athletics/stealth trainer for new recruits.
I've never had a setup that required patrolling, but imo it's a great mod just for the auto-move.
Bug-free, too, ime - which is dozens of hours and a couple hundred characters either using or bodyguarding a user, using torches and mats.

"The pathing to reach the waystations can only go so far, so place down REGULAR TORCHES , or something similar, to extend the AI pathing to allow it to reach other waypoints if they are too far apart."

And I specifically added this bit of info because the pathing in Kenshi is notoriously buggy and often breaks frequently due to a plethora of issues. What you are experiencing is a complete pathing failure in the game, hence why it works really close together but not further apart.

Try adding some REGULAR TORCHES between the two posts and it might help, or tweak the location of the posts around a bit as sometimes just the location itself is buggy with pathing. If all else fails try rebuilding the navmesh, google will tell you how.

Why after e.g. 2 waypoints it says "its empty" and stop work?

No way to make it work, oh yeah 2 waypoints at 2m distance works, far of that just refuses to keep working instead spam "its empty" but if you take it manually it works again.........

My mod does nothing with the animations in any way, they are simply just custom made crafting stations, nothing more.

Kenshi is sadly a great game held together by duct tape and paperclips, so the game itself is the likely culprit, assuming you are not using any other mods that modify character models or animations in any way.

really? even though this only ever happens if i use waypoints? the guy in the middle (stiff legs dude) is the one set with the waypoints job while all the other dudes following him run fine. and youre saying it has nothing to do with this mod?

It works very well for one guy on patrol, but the more npcs using the same patrol path... the more weirdness crops up as npcs somehow start stealing tickets from other npcs such that some have zero tickets and some have 2+ and then with some critical number of npcs the system grinds to a halt with them just standing around aimless as the stations have both their input and output filled with no one taking tickets out anymore

Workaround to this would be to have only one guy actually doing the patrol and everyone else just set to follow him, but followers like that will ranomly stop following occasionally so you still have to check in with them from time to time

I cannot for the life of me get this to work. I tried the things that were recommended as far as I could tell but it just won't work. I've managed to get this to work in the past just not now. I make the ticket, have a character 'use' the ticket to get it in their inventory, and shift right click A>B then B>A waypoints that are close to each other and my character will just go to the first one then say 'it's full' and not continue. I've imported and saved and loaded and all that too.

Quick feedback about my problem, so whoever comes to use this beautiful mod, dont be afraid to download.

It works. In case you have the same problem as I, It's just an AI problem. Destroy the waypoints, save game. Load game. Repeat the process as description but with a little detail:

1) - Build 2WAY-A TICKET from Waypoint Ticket Crafting station, press the ticket In queue and click with your character In "Use" , and dont take It out yourself. Let It there. Otherwise It will break the weak AI Mind.

2) - Shift>Right-Click>Use on 2WAY A>B POST
3) - Shift>Right-Click>Use on 2WAY B>A POST
4) - Profit

And yes. Profit. That's It.

Didn't work. My last save it was working just fine. The character deliver the ticket to the post, but dont 'get It' to deliver to the other post.

He just deliver and done. Makes sense to you? I dont know how to explain better than this.

When It was working, he would deliver the 2way-a , creating a 2way-b, actually getting It to his inventory, delivering to the next post... and etc. Which means, It was working just fine.

Now, he delivers and... done, he doesn't get the new ticket to the inventory. In case I click the item to move to his inventory, he proceeds to deliver the ticket. The path Is right. He can move there , no problem. It's not pathing problem, maybe an AI problem. Everything else works fine (armorcrafting, creating armor plates, iron plates, mining) . Everything works just fine. Only the mod he doesn't get the item from the machine/torch.

Sounds like pathing is just breaking, try rebuilding the navmesh, and/or moving the stations around a bit, at worst I guess you can try an import. As far as I am aware there was no update to the game recently that could of affected this, so it's not something I can fix on my end.
