rolled back stellaris and works beautifully games much more immersive when you dont see the pops and you can use youre imagination for them. maybe its the autism but i always preferred DW2 population over stellaris gameboard pops

But a W because it's now its own game in development! It's far better as a stand-alone game than a mod, able to do far more with it. The scale, level of detail, mechanics, and graphics just aren't something that could be achieved with a mod.

Nope, thinking 2.1 is the last. I had a version that I was working on for 2.2, but I've since moved onto just making my own game (which is largely a far more advanced version of the mod).

2.1 I believe. The last release was a few weeks ahead of the 2.2 planet mechanics update. I think it was possible to play through an entire campaign at that point without issue, but not 100% (the mod has always been a work-in-progress). Looking at the screenshots, I'm tempted to update it. We'll see, since I've said that numerous times and haven't updated it yet!

What version of Stellaris is currently working? And of course ... does AI respond right to the new mechanics? Also, I want to tell you that it sounds amazing, on EU4 I play only with M&T, on Stellaris by the way I won't be back to Vanilla anymore ... especially if you go back to working on the mod, I wish you success in your personal projects! (which you mentioned below).

At this point, the mod has completely stagnated since all my focus is on my game project, and it's at the point where it is more in-depth than the mod anyway.

There's quite a bit of info in the discord link below. Overall, it's more along the lines of Victoria, Distant Worlds, and Aurora, for civ management, throw in some The Guild, CK2, and Homeworld. Otherwise, soon enough I'll start posting info/footage videos on youtube and link them in the comments here. Still far from release though (hopefully ~Q2 next year, but that is a guess at this point).

No idea when/if I'll update the mod. Focus is on my own game (basically an independent version of the mod). Have a discord server for it for anyone interested: https://discord.gg/hvDhrcg

It's been in the works for a little while now, to the point where it's already surpassing the mod in terms of depth/mechanics, and it's going much further in terms of depth (while remaining accessible via automation/opt-in depth). Hard to continue the mod when the game should be a much better package.

Bit of an update on the mod and my own game:
1) I do want to update the mod to current Stellaris version + have it in a playable state. This is secondary for me though.
2) I am working on the space setting for my own game.
3) I am also working on a medieval version.

Don't want to expand the mod, just tidy it up and make it a decent experience.

As for my game, basic gameplay for the space setting will should be pretty close. It'll start off with exploration, colonisation, building stations, industry, managing government services, and some fleet/tactical combat. The economic simulation will be decent initially, but the political/diplomatic/social systems will come in time. In time, there will also be colony simulation, business tycoon gameplay, personal ship exploration/combat etc.

Once gameplay is ready I'll open a dedicated discord and post some videos if anyone wants info/footage.

The map itself will be fictional and handmade, ideally with map and spawn tools for people to make their own maps and settings. Most content will be randomly spawned from a list of suitable locations. E.g. villages can spawn almost anywhere, but great cities will have clearly defined potential spawns.

Yep every now and then. I'll start showing gameplay reasonably soon. I switched the setting to medieval though a little while back (with plans to do a space setting if that's successful). It's a mix of rpg, city-building, grand strategy, and real-time battles. Basically you take a character, and adventure, rule, conquer, build a town/castle, explore, plot etc. All optional, you can do what you like and ignore what you don't. Currently all taking place on a massive, real-time map.

Excited for the game you are currently deving. I do like economic simulations (such as Victoria 2) and one set in space is something I always wanted to try. Interstellar economics sounds like a fascinating game to play.

@DED - not actively, hard to do anything on it when I can do far more and more easily in my own (early in development) game.

@Fefre - definitely will. Won't be too long as I'll start showing footage/doing vids soon.

Sometime soon I'll set a day aside and fix up the mod, but the focus is on my own game at the moment. The industrial/economic/state finance and services are already far deeper in my own game than in the mod, and I'll be doing the same for internal politics, tech, diplomacy, military and intelligence/espionage. It's also going to be character-based, with different tiers of gameplay. As I said, far more than I can do in a mod!
