i've tried to make my own 2 sided rulebook viewer.. i've gotten so far as i have 2 pdfs switching sides the same time.. one is following the other.. but it is a hassle to switch pages and i still need to mount them in a nice way..
then i saw this! WOHOO an assetbundle that is a rulebook. cool.. that is even better,,

but alas.. as so many other mods here on tts there are some assets missing.. as usual.
is it possible to find the unity_spiral_rulebook.unity3d somewhere else?.. i guess i'll check the discord tomorrow.. its a workday tomorrow and my time is 22.55. i should be off to bed.
sadly i could not reach the asset creation guides either.. are they down or hosted somewhere else?

Hi, the links to the models are broken, any chance they could be updated?

Build using unique names.

Hi, loving this mod so far, but i am having an issue with it. I've made two rulebooks so far, and they work fine, but for some reason i can't load both of them at the same time in TTS. Why is that? The error just says "Failed to load AssetBundle (.unity3d).

Yeah it's possible for sure if you put the effort in, go right ahead and make it.

is something like this possible but have it just refer to a PDF file on the web somewhere? so we could just point it to this PDF and it will spread the pages out over the book? Basically a way to make this sort of thing on the fly with no need to use Unity.

Ahhh ok that makes sense, thanks for the answer.

Unity will compress images down to 4096x4096 so those +800 and +6000 pixels of data in your example are meaningless. Use 2x2 or 4x4 grids of images not exceeding 4096px.

Sorry I was quite annoyed by your reply and deleted my comments but I realised later it was my fault for not being clear.

The image is not low quality. I'm talking about an image with, let's say, 4 by 10 pages of a rulebook. Each page itself is about 1200x1000, so an image size of 4800x10000. For some reason, if I apply that single image to 40 materials and use Unity's regular tiling to subdivide that into 40 pages and apply that into your manual, the text will be illegible for some reason.

You are one of the few interested in these particular tables so you should just take them from the mods. If I'm to publish one separately then they're to have much more effort put in to them than these. Stretching them is also not advised, materials look inconsistent, table legs will look wonky.

Well, I was thinking other mod so that we would have the table and the pads separate, and so that people know about the table, so they can add it to their mods. More table variety in mods would be great, imo

Nice work. Thank you for the template.

Why does it have to be a separate mod? Just use the table. The one I made for Scrabble HD is similar but without the pads.
Unreal Ed Sep 9, 2018 @ 7:18am
I love that table! Any chance we could just get that as a mod? Ideally, the pads you use for the hands would be a separate object so we can re-size the table and not have those stretch

Yes but none that matters.

Is there a maximum to the number of pages this can be done with? Looks AMAZING!
SaltyO Sep 8, 2018 @ 10:46am
well done dude!
