Is this mod still necessary?
Or is this problem fixed with an patch?

Early in the game, it may actually be better to chop jungles for bannana and the like. +2 Science is good, but the +1 food, plus any other plantation bonuses, will probably get you at least +2 science due to having a larger city. It really depends on your goal, whether a +3 food +2 Science tile is better than an eventual +5 (or 4) food +1 (or 0) production tile.

I never chop plain jungle tiles and try not to with resources (like banana's) in them...
I prefer the science when I get universities going ^^

I hate how the AI loves to chop banana tiles just for a measely 1 food. :\

this seems to break jungle tooltip for what is required to develop the tile.

What if it gave a food bonus instead? In Brazil much rainforest is cut in Slash and Burn to create farmland/pasture that is temporarily fertile, but soon depleted.

and i can confirm that this mods works fine with bnw and also has no dependicies
Meethos Antilles 11. aug. 2013 kl. 20:14
I can confirm this doesn't work with BNW, when trying to load it, it claims its missing dependicies.

Has anyone tested this with BNW yet? I like the lumber mill idea as well. Anyways great mod thanks.

Nice mod. Jungles should also allow lumber mill improvements
